That Aiken play sums up the passing game in the second half pretty darn well... whenever someone was open, the pass rush was getting massive pressure on Flacco, whenever Flacco had time there was nobody getting open.

Aiken was open and Boyle should have picked that blitzing player up... wah wah... That play did not lose us the game. We should have scored more points against that weak defense. Josh McCown should NEVER throw for 300 yards against the Ravens unless 100 yards are thrown in garbage time of a blowout loss for Cleveland yet he threw for more than 400! Give it a rest, this team is not being coached properly on Defense.

It was Juice that missed the blitzing LB. So according to your example, that's not being coached properly and Harbaugh & Trestman should be fired right? Perfect example of players not executing - has ZERO to do with the coaching staff. Great play call, horrible execution. Same with the defense. When you let a slow, white QB scramble for a 12 yard Touchdown, NOT the DC fault. When you let this happen (Look how many Ravens downfield vs. Browns) - NOT the DC's fault:

When you miss tackles like this, NOT the Defensive Coordinator's fault:

You can talk all that jazz about firing Dean Pees, but bottom line, if you cover like that & tackle like that, you will lose no matter if Buddy Ryan, Tom Landry or George Halas was coaching your defense.

Not sure where the issues lies on the pressure on that last play. If Boyle doesn't go to the middle to block (where he wasn't needed) and protects the edge, we probably score a TD and win. I see Juice going on a route ... was he supposed to pick this up. So is it a player missed assignment Trestman on the play design or Joe for not calling protection? I certainly don't know, but it is the kind of thing that separates winning from losing.

I like what Trestman is doing, the plays he's running, especially trying to use our running game, which is worth the effort. The bootleg was a nice trick, certainly it worked brilliantly. We're scoring enough points (vs. Raiders and Browns, both losses we scored 30 points), it's our defense that's giving those perennially bad teams the game with giving up 33 points.

Obviously, there is a lot that goes into a loss. By all rights, if we were a good team, this would have been a wipe out. Still, you have to say our team has failed at the end of games to pull out wins ... Good teams make those plays.

I don't want to know what I missed Garrett. Not after we lost to the Browns! However, I applaud your efforts for gutting it out!

I'm glad to see that Garrett mentioned Dumervil doing a good job in the run defense. Since Dumervil had typically been used a pass rusher, I didn't have a high expectation for his endurance or effectiveness against the run as well. Dumervil has been in on many good plays against the run, not just this week but in prior weeks as well. Doom has really impressed me in his expanded role. Thank you Doom. I took notice and appreciate your efforts.

The RB is responsible for picking up the blitz. I was always taught, block first, then run your route. If you watch, Juice even gets out of the guys way. A simple chip would have given Joe enough time to hit Aiken. Since it was a play-action boot leg, typically the TE cracks back on the DE (selling the play fake direction & sealing the edge) then slips out to either block the MLB or find open space in coverage, which is what Boyle did.

What I definitely missed was any chance of my $1000 Superbowl future bet on the Raven's paying off ...!

I guess the upside is, I don't have to spend the rest of the season sweating it out!

We are paying Joe like a top 10 QB and PFF ranks him 26th. He is the worst QB in the league during the 4th quarter. What's up with that? Sorry, I just expected more this year. He is an 8 year veteran and this is the 2nd year in this Offense.

I liked Shelton but now I don't. Fine that man. Also, I'm trying not to give up on the season but I'm already dreaming of a Will Hill/Brooks and Jalen Ramsey tandem.

I also don't understand why Ozzie gives some players big contracts when they've had injuries in the past or drafts players who were injured in college (probably because they were cheaper "value") To sum it up, I could've done a better job than Oz/ Scouting department on whether we should've drafted injury- prone Perriman- I found this article and I can't believe what I read:

"I remember at an older age, my knees would just give out just walking in random places like in the mall or something," Perriman said. "And everybody would be like, 'Boy, what's wrong with you?'"

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-ucf-breshad-perriman-nfl-draft-0430-20150429-story.html

If Perriman's knees give out when he was younger and just walking around the mall, then what makes Oz think that he's going to be able to survive a 16 game season? Let's do some homework, boys.

I swear Ozzie better not let KO or Yanda walk. They're both beasts that get our run game going and I'm sick of talent leaving. I get it that we can't pay everyone but with many questionable draft picks and veteran signings we need to keep our talent to build around! O-line needs to be our strength

Exactly

Especially when you have a franchise quarterback getting $100,000,000. Keeping Flacco upright is one of the most important factors to winning.
