risenconqueer.... there are no pom poms ...there is just reality. Like I said... on DL... BWilliams is a probowl caliber DL. at LB.. Elvis, Cj and Dsmith are probowl caliber LBS and at DB Jimmy Smth was just lauded as one of the top 5 CBs in the game just last season... that is pro bowl caliber talent at every level of the defense. DL / LB / DB ... there are no POM POMS just reality... stop being blind and believing Pees excuses. Nobody is good enough to perform in this system.

So....instead of holding Pees accountable, they are throwing almost the entire defensive players under the bus, and cutting some of them....sounds about right....ughhhhh.....

I love it when the Ravens pick up some bum cut from another team and proclaim him "the answer."

"Some bum cut"..

We all need to stop name-calling...  many of these guys are very good, just may not fit in a specific system.  Guys like Daryl Smith... and Steve Smith.  Wasn't he called old and washed up?

Shareece...

He had requested to be traded.  The 49ers actually granted his wish, just like so many other players...

Babin I could see coming, but Melvin may get picked up. I don't know how this affects cap, but Ravens seems to spend money on band-aids too much. Also, Webb is stealing. It's time to cut him.

The Ravens hierarchy is in desperation mode now. The owner made it clear after the 8-8 season, mediocracy is not an option. Babin not being able to absorb the playbook was tell-tale. He's been with 8 teams now, come-on. He couldn't even line-up properly. Now what? Asa Jackson suddenly became an All-Pro? Mathematically, we still have hope. Personally, I'm looking to the draft (defensively) for help. Ravens, prove me wrong. Please! P.S.-I know it's only football.

I also don't understand why Ozzie gives some players big contracts when they've had injuries in the past or drafts players who were injured in college (probably because they were cheaper "value") To sum it up, I could've done a better job than Oz/ Scouting department on whether we should've drafted injury- prone Perriman- I found this article and I can't believe what I read:

"I remember at an older age, my knees would just give out just walking in random places like in the mall or something," Perriman said. "And everybody would be like, 'Boy, what's wrong with you?'"

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-ucf-breshad-perriman-nfl-draft-0430-20150429-story.html

If Perriman's knees give out when he was younger and just walking around the mall, then what makes Oz think that he's going to be able to survive a 16 game season? Let's do some homework, boys.

What kind of team is this? This team could be 5-0 right now or 0-5. Are the slacking off? Not playing to full potential? What's happening man. The next three games will show how resilient this team is if they lose to the 49ers the season is over. No way a 1-5 team is squeaking into the playoffs. I can't see this team winning 10 or 11 straight games

Unfortunately these moves change nothing. I'm still rooting for our Ravens but being a contender, the Ravens just aren't this season.

Our scouts need to get there A-game together and make sure they get us a TOP NOTCH SAFETY next draft. Not another Matt Elam

Best thing about this season is that maybe the FO will see that they can't keep letting talent that they drafted walk away after their rookie contract.

Adds fuel to the fire in me everytime I watch NFL network or ESPN and constantly hear about the Browns QB and receivers leading statistics and leaderboards, fantasy points etc.. all thanks to our defense SMDH

Babin should not be a loud to even look at a football.EVER. He almost passed Lee Evans drop for Worst plays by a Raven.

Could turn out not to be their decade. By the time they can fix the secondary they will need to fix the linebackers . There is so much wrong with this team it's going to take years by then will be looking for new coach

So Harbs is saying that bad play by the defense is on the players, not on coaches. I quote: "The coaches are doing a good job", and cutting 2 defensive players sends the message loud and clear. Yet I'm not convinced it's the case.

Players might have had couple of mistakes, but the fact that DBs are playing 10 yards away from line of scrimmage the whole second half is DC-s call. Watching the game, I can't even see our CB-s on the TV screen. With no zone coverage near line of scrimmage to prevent short passes, offenses just march down the field with short slants and our DC is enjoying the view upstairs changing nothing. So most definitely our DC is to blame here at least as much as Babin is for his penalties.

Now Harbs has successfully sent out the message that players are doing bad job, despite the fact that they are just following DC's orders, and players heads are on the chopping block. Great job Harbs! Nice way to destroy the little moral and confidence our players might have had left in them and frustrate them even more. Terrible example of leadership right there on a team that lacks of it as it is.

Harbs has yet again shown that he will pin team's troubles on players, who are exceptionally talented and are probably coveted by most teams might I add, rather than face the facts and admit that his peers among the coaches are doing awfully incompetent job. And this is not the first time this has happened.

Bottom line - talent is there, coaching is not. Cutting average players and replacing them with other average players is not the solution; changing the system which runs these players is. And I'm sorry, but if Harbaugh fails to admit this, he is part of the problem as well. VERY VERY disappointed in Harbs once again.

There's a a reason guys like that get cut. No one but the Ravens want them and now even the Ravens don't. And why are we so surprised that players cut by other teams or undrafted players don't play well? If they were any good, they'd be playing for other teams.

Ummmmmm so are we just gonna ignore the fact that every Asa plays in a game he gets hurt?!? He's just as injury prone as Webb and not much better in coverage. What's that saying about insanity..............Harbs is clueless at this point
