if we lose sunday why not see what draft picks teams would be willing to give us for our aging players like dummervil, webb and daryl smith that playoff bound teams may be interested in. start arthur brown and see what he has before we let him go for nothing.

Glad to see we signed Daniel Brown. OK, when he shined it was against 3rd stringers but he does show potential. D. Brown is worth developing and I am pleased we are giving him a shot on the practice squad.

Hey, he can't be any worse than Marlon Brown. He would/should be gone, if we had anyone better, which should not be tough to find. He doesn't seem to be able to catch a cold.

@J.O. But RSR, broke down.. Babins snaps in pitt game and during his 7 snaps is when Ravens got 2 sacks, because he took double teams..

Now they wont write a article this week because we lost, but with 22 snaps as you say.. I almost guarantee Babin is partly responsible for 1-2 of those Sacks by taking a double team on a play or two.. Or just garnering respect in blockage other player wouldnt

Babin played 7 snaps at Pitt and like 22 Sunday. He was hardly a threat.

And of those 22 snaps, I only remember 3. They were memorable, but not for good reasons.

Actually, I have been asking what Harbs is going to do to address this kind of undisciplined play. We got an answer with Babin ... if you are on the margins of the roster, you will lose your job.

Guy had a decent game, but that boneheaded QB shove erased all that was good. Jernigan has lost snaps because of his lack of discipline ... then his replacement comes in and does the same thing.

I'm not sure what Harbs can do other than cut players, make them ride the pine or hit them with fines. Got to cut the crap, boys ...

I agree Greek, if it an "L" Sunday we should start making deals, I would also include Suggs because he is older and maybe someone would be willing to part with draft picks for him. I bet he has played his last game as a Raven, but do not trade away draft picks for rental players, let's see what we have in house, practice squad included.

Rabin played himself out of the Ravens unfortunately. As for Melvin he showed that he isn't ready to be an NFL CB. So, I am happy that the Ravens are activating Asa and James to the active roster. Hopefully, these moves help light a match under all the players that are comfortable in their spots and feel indispensable. Nobody is indispensable for the Ravens - nobody. If you fail to produce despite several chances, you can be gone is the message that is being sent. Hopefully, they play like there is no tomorrow starting next week. We simply cannot have a losing season as the Baltimore Ravens. It is unacceptable to the fans period.

What are we playing for at this point? We arent playing for a superbowl, so why are we trying to win games. Put our young guys on the field, get them some experience so theyll be ready to go next season. Get some picks for the older guys that we wont be able to afford, or that would help a team thats trending towards the superbowl.

We have lived off stop gaps for years, due to our cap space, and it has worked out well, this year was just a tough year to have stop gaps without core players....D was made up of stop gaps and youngsters...Only Suggs, Doom, and Canty were the core leaders left, now all 3 are injured....

Givens needs to run crossing routes, and seam routes, same with Ross...We don't seem to run enough of those routes......Let the speed guys catch the ball in stride and see if they can get the YAC yards that the other teams have gotten on us......

So awesome we cut Babin cuz he was worthless and since we dont have any pass rush why have him around. Now we can add a bunch of CB's that our Defensive Coordinator will put in the wrong places and wrong scheme and get them all injured.

Speaking of which Harbaugh really said the coaches are doing a good job? is he watching Patriot games? We are not watching the same team on gameday. Dean Pees is an obviously hindrance to this team and as such needs to go.

Suggs would add $8 million of dead money to the cap, an increase of about $1.5 million over what he would cost to the salary cap if he stays. We've all seen this year how bad it is to have so much dead money tied up - you have no salary cap space to sign quality depth.

The quality depth is supposed to be from the draft classes that were groomed over the last few years....Players such as Urschel, Jensen, Wagner have done well for themselves, that's why i have been saying all along the youngsters who are forced into action now will be the face of the team in the future as well as our quality depth....No one forecast the inuries we have had or where we have had the injuries, young players are forced into action whether they are ready or not, but they are gaining valuable experience....

I like Jeremy Ross as the returner going forward... But also I want him involved in the pass game. Thats one thing that ticked me off. He was in the on that early scoring drive, but then throughout the game besides returner you didmt see him much.... He could a been a huge weapon...like he was in Detroit and other places. Also Givens didnt get much action and he beat broken finger boy Haden multiple times

Givens didn't get any action because Average Joe looks at his first receiver, then freaks. He also stares down the one and only receiver. Next loss, watch him as he drops back. Take away his strong arm and you have a very ordinary QB. On a good day. But, he got his money.

Ray Ray and Suggs would get in a player's face and call them out if they erred. Who's doing that now? The message from Harbaugh is clear. If you want to stay with the Ravens you must have discipline, good technique and hold yourself accountable first and foremost.

However, some of the dead money could have been avoided. Some couldn't. (Actually, it can all be avoided, but that's another story) Re-signing Pitta (to the contract he got) was not even close to being a smart move. But, he's Joe's best Bud.

Why did we pick up Babin when Dwight Freeney was available ? One other question, when will Dean Pees be waived, fired, forced into retirement or suspended ? I don't care what you call it just please get rid of him.

double thumb up.. I loved Freeney and wished we could land him instead. Got to wonder if he asked for too much?! No idea.

Already since we were able to activate Hill last year I was posting about my skepticism toward Pee, blaming his attitude rather than individual players mistakes or injuries..

Patriots' D was ranked 27th under him, not for nothing.

I'll always be a ravens' fan but right now it's quite frustrating to see we're not trying to change our main issue: playcalling.. it's putrid on both sides.

Wow, now Pees is intentionally injuring our players. That is ridiculous. The simple are facts are these....injuries and a lack of talent at a few key positions have caught up with us and we've been found out. Also the affects of paying almost 10% of our cap in dead money isn't helping either. Keep the faith...we will be back.

Pees is not good. He will be gone after this year.

Grant it there is a lack of talent a key positions but a Great Defensive MIND Maximizes What Talent you do have.

Ravens dont have a Free Safety. Will Hill is a pretty strong tackler in the box safety, not good in coverage 20 yrds deep and Kendrick Lewis is the same. Terrance Brooks I dont know if hes good or not because hes not given a chance to start yet for a prolonged time. I know hes Big Thumper though and they use him often on safety blitzes..which hes pretty good at.

Jimmy Smith is a shutdown CB, but hes a Press Man CB. Dean Pees screws Jimmy and makes Jimmy look bad when he plays 10 yrd off coverage Zone 90% of the time. Jimmy is not Richard Sherman a Zone CB, hes more Darrelle Revis, Patrick Peterson.. Press Man all game long. A D coordinators job is to optimize his players talent and know who his players are..

I bet you anything Rex or Pagano would let Jimmy play Press Man every game.

Last our LBrs are HORRIBLE!!! Cj Mosley as great as he is and hes a pro bowl caliber ILBr, since the day he came into the NFL he hasnt been able to cover RBs in the pass game to save his life. Ray Lewis could do that in his sleep. Mosley can doeverything else, blitz, run stuffer, good instincts, etc but side line to side line speed is not or par with Ray...because he cant cover RBs..and every time Ravens face Bell or a legitimate RB in passing game its brutal. Daryl Smith is just to old now to shut it down.. Ravens need to find a sideline to sideline Speed backer.. See if Art Brown can do the job... Or thsts another hole needing filled through draft.

Ovbiously pass rush..eventual Sizzle replacement

WRs..give joe weapons

This is the beginning of a Raven return to the winning ways. When almost everyone has jumped off the W wagon onto the L wagon than things will turn the other way. Eleven more games 6 or seven wins is not out of the question. Grabbing 8 would be a long shot from here but anything is possible.

Pay RL52 whatever he wants to not only coach our players but inspire them, and teach them how to close out games.....As a defensive coach of course....
