[News] Late For Work 10/13: Who Is Shareece Wright And Can He Help?

96 posts in this topic

you're very easily impressed, aren't you? 3 catches and 2 TDs against 3/4th stringers, no he is nowhere near as good as anyone on the active roster, he didn't even make the practice squad. It's great that he can elevate over arena football players in the redzone but that means nothing if he contributes zilch to get there

normally I would agree but I think it's time we move past marlon brown. He's had way too many chances and he's just not comin around. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that Daniel brown is the answer either but I wouldn't be opposed to givin him a shot- bc like dude said he couldn't be much worse. Might find a diamond in the rough. However I do get tired of ppl thinking we cut he next jordy Nelson just bc of a few nice plays.

I am excited to see what Wright looks like out there. Hopefully he makes it through practice...geez this injury bug!

I am wondering about the possibility that some of the team's problems, could because of old defensive schemes that ex-ravens (now on other teams) recognize? We know pretty well that any team with Delrio is gonna spank us. Remember Jacksonville 2012? ;) Maybe there needs to be some different scheme, instead of the mostly predictible plays we've seen recently?

My thoughts on Joe are that I believe he lacks confidence in his receivers' ability to fight for the ball. He used to be able to just hang one out there and Q would go up and snatch it out of the defender's hands if it was headed for a pick! Yeah, those were the days. Actually I'm excited to see what some of these newer guys can do once they get settled-in and can get up to game speed. Hopefully we'll still be in it by then, but you can't count us out until it's over. That's just a Baltimore thing, you NEVER give up! :)

Go RAVENS!

lol i'm very impressed? You must set the bar for success very very low if you think Marlon Brown and Aiken are going to do anything successful.

It's not about whether they are good, its about whether they're better than an undrafted rookie who can catch 3 whole passes against bums who couldn't make a practice squad in the NFL. Put either Marlon or Aiken against those guys and they'd eat them for lunch, D. Brown against 3rd stringers would be shut down. If that's how low your bar is you must think Butler is the Messiah considering he got more than 3 whole catches (I know: "how does he do it?") against first and second stringers.

Maybe you're right, but if things aint working then why not take a chance to change things up. Stop defending WR's that aren't good.

Sorry, those are cold hard stats bud.

Sorry again, but there is not factual support for your claim. So... wrong.

cold hard stats? ok, here you are:

1990

Highest scoring team averages 26.8, lowest 11.3.

Teams averaged 20.1ppg all together.  16 teams averaged at least 20ppg.

2014

Highest averages 30.4, lowest 15.6.

Teams averaged 22.6ppg all together.  22 teams averaged at least 20ppg.

Here's 2 more years to show i didn't pick years to especially prove my view - In 1991 only 10 teams averaged more than 20ppg, in 2013 25 teams averaged at least 20ppg.

like i said, this isn't the 90's anymore. putting up 30 points doesn't automatically give you a win when almost every team in the league averages more than 20.
