[News] Injury Updates On Justin Forsett, Steve Smith Sr.

28 posts in this topic

There are no player leaders now. With Ray, Ed and Suggs gone, the defense is like a rudderless boat.

This defense will continue to lose games.

Leadership is not the problem. Execution is the problem both on offense and defense. The offense has put up the points but the defense can not keep it for us. Losing games is bad enough but losing by such small margins is heart breaking.

I say "let's play the rookies and see what they have, if nothing else they will get some experience, the team can find out what they have. Let them lose a lot of games, and move up in the draft. Ozzie has not hit on anything in the late 1st and 2nd round the last few years. Maybe that will change if we move up. We appear to have a lot of holes (secondary, receiver, pass rush, ...) and I am afraid that it may take a couple years to address as it is. The more games they win, the longer it may take to bounce back"

Two weeks in a row Harbaugh made a call that cost us the lead at the end of regulation. Both games went to OT. I wish Harbs would just played it conservative. Gadget plays and going for 2 point after are too risky for this group. It looks like Harbaugh is coaching a team he may have had a few years back instead of what he does have now. These fellows need extra time. Work between Flacco and his receivers needs improvement. If the current group of receivers ever finds a way to get open it will be with more technique and practice. More time spent coaching and less time spent going to college football games on Saturdays.

This team is not worthy of Steve Smith Sr.'s drive, dedication and playing through pain. He should go on the IR or be traded to a contender.

I must say, it's a little surprising that the Browns and the Raiders, both who were awful last year, particularly Cleve. losing 5 in a row or something, last year, but Oakland only winning a handful of games, that these teams are scoring 30 points or more against us and they are racking up records for yards as well against us. That is alarming, if we cannot shut down those perennially bad teams.

I hope Forsett makes a comeback this coming week, as I'm looking forward to a much needed victory to settle the sting of losing to Cleveland.

Glad Forsett doesn't have a high ankle sprain. Hope to God Justin is back on the field soon. Best Raven's news I have heard all day.

If forsett didn't get injured I truly believe we would have won. Not only was he starting to dominate , there wouldn't have been an injury timeout, more time would have ticked off and he would have punched it in with less than 15 seconds or so left. However it's no excuse. I knew as soon as we settled for the field goal we had lost.

"Next man up" when Justin went down so did the Ravens "CREATIVITY" to get in the endzone! I like the Defense like it is they growing together but the Offense can't put them in "JACKED UP" situations all the time and people find it "Convenient" to blame them! "MAN,GET OUT OF HERE"! Wheres Fitzgerald Toussaint and the Ravens Offense needs to point the finger at "THEMSELVES" instead of the Defense pointing it at themselves! Joe is coming up SHOTE! No yards and it is taking its toll! Red me up or point fingers at me like yall do my Defense! I will stand up for them because it's not all their fault!

Just throwing out ideas here so bare with me.

This team is not a playoff contender this year, let alone SB contender. SSS however deserves to finish on top of it all. Now, I don't know him, and I highly doubt he would agree to it, he just has too much pride, but I think I wouldn't mind seeing him traded to another team, who is a contender.

This way he just might get a chance to ride off into the sunset as a SB winner, we would get some picks maybe, we could give valuable reps to young WR-s, and SSS wouldn't destroy his health and body for the remainder of the season for a hopeless cause in a team who should consider themselves blessed if they finish 8-8.

It'd be painful to see SSS go, but we don't deserve a player like him. Especially after Harbs indicated that he refuses to accept the problem on this team and won't fire Pees any time soon.

We should be able to win with 30 points on the board and you know it! 23 points in Pittsburg and it was enough for a win you know why? Because the defense there held. Week 3, 24 points and we lost. Week 2, 33 points and we lost. Week 1 was the only one where we did not have enough points on the board to win an average game with 13. We won the one game, where we had the second least points so name the common factor - defense can't allow the other team to catch up on our points. I do realize that one of the scores somewhere was C. J. Mosley. But apart from that, our offense though bashed up and in no means flashy has done alright.

A lot of the touchdowns against us have been committed on penalties by our defense and because apart from Jimmy and Webb our CBs haven't been par. And Webb is off the field as much as he's on it.

It's not all bad, I believe we have a good front seven, I love our ILBs, both of them, I play in a 57 jersey in honor of C.J. and Buck is a beast. Everyone has to work harder. However, it's the defense that needs most fixing.

I watched the Steelers-Chargers game last night.  Without Ben they succeed. That game winner with 3 seconds left irks me.  WE had a chance to score in the end zone and sit at 2-3. Blaming the players for our loss is not the issue.  These men should be placed into a position to score. Our top rival succeeds and we fade.  It is what it is.

They wanted it and Bell said so. Now they swing two games over us.  Their D schemes looked fresh and they held the Bolts to 10 points until the end of the game. They have injuries and without Ben that is huge...  They succeed because their team had good execution no matter who carried on. We have to play like that in SF against the surprising and recently vanquished 1-4 49ers.

OK, so another waste of space here.

The title says "injury update". If you want these kinds of updates, you can call any one of us fans and we can tell you that!

"It's not Ebola, I can tell you that!"

So what you're saying is, they may or may not play?

Great, got it. Thanks!

I, honestly, don't know what you're watching! Without doubt, the defense deserves MUCH more of the blame for this team's record than the offense does. In all but One game the offense put enough points on the board that we Should have won the games. The reason we didn't was because of the Defense's inability to make a stop, get off the field, and preserve the lead. Their inability to hold leads and their totally frustrating stupid penalties that keep opponent's drives alive is the number one cause of our record; not the only cause, but the major one. I, seriously, don't know what you're watching, or understand your thought process.

Yeah give them credit they never used the same looks on D unlike Pees; base, base, send the house. It reminded me of Rex Ryan and the organized chaos days of being creative.

We have to get Boyle more playing time...this guy is a beast and reminds me of GRONK! He has made every play that he was involved in and gets decent yardage on each play. Now is the time to get these guys in the game

I would support that, the guy would be great with Green Bay. They look to be on their way. I dont think the Ravens will do it.

looks like the Ravens just gave up too much. Solid mid level players just are not going to do it for them. Superstars and Showman are who capitalize in todays football. Sure if the planets align, the stars come out and the cards match up ...maybe just maybe a 10-6 record gets a bunch of mid-level players in the playoffs. The Ravens need to develop, its just that simple, but they will need superstars too. It really looks like this team is throwing things up to being lucky or not.
