[News] Reports: Cornerback Will Davis Has Torn ACL

37 posts in this topic

Sure, why not? (as I sit here shaking my head)... This just sucks... Will, I hope you're ok, and wish you well. I hope you heal and can come back. You were one of the bright spots for us these past couple of games.

Sad to say, but this team is snake bitten. A lot of injuries last year and now again this year. A dark cloud over the palace.....

Feel bad for Will Davis. Sorry to see his season cut short and hope to see him on the field next year. Will did an admirable job just jumping right in and making some plays.

OMG, figures! Snake bitten is a good word to use Surfdude, holy cow!

Soon, we're not going to be able to get 11 on the field. I have an old nacho stained jersey and a TON of heart and passion for the game and would be willing to step in now that the bar has to be lowered enough to let even me try out.

At least when they carted me off the field, everyone would be saying how much my heart and determination will be missed, even if it was for just one or two plays. :-)

That's it! Maybe they should do a "Fan day" tryout just to fill out the roster on game days. Sure would send a message to the other players and couldn't be much worse and we'd work cheap too! :-)

at this point what does it matter, another great find oz

Ozzie should have seen into the future and saw this coming??  "Wizard" is just part of his nickname and not a descriptive title of who he actually is.

When your patchwork offense puts up 30 points, you expect to win the game!

Big shock about Davis' injury, knowing he's already coming off an ACL issue...smh Let's see who else we can pick up to help pay for their medical bills!

Webb has one and a half games where he looks even remotely close to his former caliber, and yup you guessed it hurt again!

Is it something with the conditioning, or what? They should be able to hold up better. Can you imagine if these guys had to face Ray, Ed, or Pollard?

Joe underthrows Givens right out the gate, and then never throws his way again. He overthrows Aiken, and then throws behind wide open receivers! How long you been playing this game?

Babin, nice job with both of those penalties. You pretty much handed them 14 points! I'm thinking I remember you getting a call last week as well? Nice addition to the team. smh

Marlon Brown... catch a freakin ball! Ever heard of a jugs machine? You should be in front of that thing 24hrs a day until you learn to catch!

Dean Pees and Trestman need to get their act together. This play calling is killing us! If you know you can't get blitz pressure all day, what makes you think it would suddenly work at the back half of the game? You are facing a team listed 32nd against the run, so of course we should throw in short yardage situations?! Cmon man!

There are no adjustments seen, it's like, just keep hitting this wall with your head and hopefully something might happen.

You are all highly paid "professionals", it's time to start acting like it.

This pretty much sums up our whole season. Invest in a player, get hopeful and psyched about his potential and lose him for the season.

I don't believe in such kind of thins, but it makes me seriously wonder, is our team cursed?? What did we ever do to offend anyone and deserve this?

front office has dropped the ball several times while the bengals make the right draft picks. thank god josh gordon is suspended or mccown would have had 600 yards

the fo should begin to shop players they know they will not resign next season like kelechi osemele and stock pile picks since we will be drafting in the top 5 of every rnd.

Unfortunately it seems that certain athletes are prone to ACL tears. It seems that many suffer a second tear after the first one is repaired and healed. I'm not sure it is a good idea to draft or trade for a player that had ACL issues in his past.

Davis came in because he lost his spot in Miami because of injuries to his knee. He was almost healed when we signed him and surprise, surprise, he's hurt again. Just one time I would like to spend the money and draft picks to get a good free agent. When we are finally forced to do so, it doesn't turn out half bad. Dumervil, Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin, SSS, etc... When we sign good guys we get good players, when we sign Kyle Arrington and Kendrick Lewis we get someone elses scrubs that couldn't make another team. They come here and play like scrubs. Why does that surprise us? Yet we continue with the mentality that we can sell off everyone we have and replace them with draft picks and someone elses scrubs, except our draft picking has been horrible and scrubs are scrubs. As long as Ozzie's strategy of replenishing with the draft gets us winning seasons it is great, except we went to that well once too often and now we have a 4-12 team. This should have been the year we went out and got some good players but because of moves the FO made over the past couple years, we are cap broke and have so much dead money we cant afford anything. When we had the chance to move up in the draft and get quality players, it was more important to keep the draft picks that ended up getting us nothing. We cut Myers this year who was a 5th rounder. When you have so many draft picks you end up cutting them, then the picks should be used to trade up and get better players. Cutting draft picks, especially 5th rounders is horrible front office work.

Lots of praise for a guy who had 1 tackle and 1 pass defended for us. You'd think he was a pro bowler how he keeps getting talked up. Keep hearing how good he's played... he broke up 1 pass against PIT. That is literally it... look up the stats. Thrown at 1 time and make 1 tackle.

The reason why this is happening is because the Ravens had a team that took them to the Superbowl and won, after that Harbaugh and Ozzie got rid of all of those players that took them to the Superbowl, didn't want to pay any of them only Flacco, then picked up these fragile players that can't even stay on the field, and can't play defense, but I'm gonna tell you now, God don't like ugly. And what Harbaugh and Ozzie did to the Superbowl team was extremely ugly. And the Ravens have been paying for that ever since!!! Harbaugh and Ozzie you had a Superbowl winning team right in the middle of your hands, but you two thought you seen something in the bush that was better than what you had in your hands, and dropped what was in your hands and went after what you thought was in the bush and what was in the bush was nothing like what you two had in your hands and the Ravens have been going down hill ever since, now the Raven are 1 and 4. When God gives you a blessing don't throw it away, for it may never come back. Ray Lewis used to pray all the time when he was on the team, Harbaugh and Ozzie you two better start praying, or this basement dwelling may not stop, I'm just saying!!!

he impressed? didnt notice. Also didnt notice he replaced Arrington on the depth chart, though im not surprised as i had said back when we signed him that he wasnt that great. *sigh* this is depressing, we havent fielded a team this bad in a long time.

well he literally just met that kid, no surprise there. AIken is a new starter too. Joe aint used to any of these guys, and none of them are the most saavy or consistent route runners in the world to begin with. Its hard working under those conditions

At this point i wouldn't say a team this bad, i would call it a team this young.....D.Smith is the only true veteran on the defense, everyone else is pretty young....I am impressed with Carl Davis, and Guy is a very under-rated player IMO....
