Oz had a lot of luck along the way. His best decision was drafting Ogden over severely troubled Phillips. However Tony Boselli's dominance as a rookie persuaded Ozzie how valuable a franchise LT is. Oz was very lucky along the way. Ray Lewis happened to be the LB left on the board at a time the ravens were desperate for LBs. Oz did not see his greatness or else he would have traded up to secure him. Boulware happened to be the best defender on the board. Heap fell to the ravens but was not the most dynamic player. Chad Johnson was overlooked and TE was a bigger need. Even when drafting top10 Ozzie landed busts Travis Taylor and Duane Starks. Starks had one decent year when he was surrounded by talent and a ferocious rush!! He was terrible otherwise. Ed Reed falling to the ravens was very lucky!! Oz should have traded up to be sure to land Reed. That is where sitting on a pick and being conservative stopped working out for OZ. Actually he got lucky Ngata fell to him because Ray was begging for a dominant defensive tackle. But it hurt the ravens in 2010 when they missed out on Dez and Gronk. In 2012 oz got cute and missed out on Harrison Smith and ended up with Scrubshaw. 2013 the ravens wanted Hopkins or Ogletree. In 2015 they ended up with Perriman whom is not a #1WR. Just a field stretching role player if that. Many coaches/GMs built super bowl champions and later fired for more busts than impact players. Oz has not drafted an all pro since Yanda. And no real pro bowl caliber talent in rounds2-7 other than maybe Brandon Williams in years!!

You guys make no sense!! You make excuses for Ozzie drafting in the 20's when he drafts a bust or mediocre player. But then you defend his decision to play conservative, hoard picks, and not trade away a round3 pick to move up several spots!!

Too early to claim that Perriman is a role player before even sees the field.

Perriman is a role player\Bust. Be realistic.

Yeah, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while huh. Pretty fortunate run of luck. I guess all of those people throughout the NFL that have praised him as one of the best are pretty stupid. What were they thinking?

Not going to say I agree with much of this, but if there's one thing that I do agree with, it's that I wish we were a little more aggressive in trading up to get players that we want.  I'm not saying to do it every year or anything, but I feel we play the draft a little conservative at times and just take the guy we deem BPA at the time.  I do think we let a lot of good players go to other teams because we are a little too attached to mid round picks.  It seems we only get that comfort to make a move in the 2nd round where it's going to cost a 4th round pick or later.  I absolutely would not mind losing a 3rd round pick over someone like Dez Bryant, DeAndre Hopkins, or even a Marcus Peres, who are guys that we were rumored to really like during their respective drafts.

Yeah, but his mysterious knee injury is getting a bit old. I mean, for the love of God, it's been months now since he injured his knee. It's getting a bit old. I'm so done with this Perriman drama atm.

It is unfair to call him a bust, but I have to begin questioning the guy's toughness and pain tolerance at this point. I can't fault Ozzie on this one. Who would've known he'd heal slower than a 95-year-old man?

Perriman is a role player\Bust. Be realistic.

You've proclaimed Marqise Lee to be a guaranteed No.1 WR with near-superhero abilities, whose talents were apparently so immense, that Blake Bortles couldn't make his throws properly, all while happily glossing over the fact that he was bypassed by an undrafted free agent in Allen Hurns and has dealt with injuries following his sub-par rookie season. Then you're firmly claiming that Perriman is a future bust and a role-player at best before his career even sees the light of day on the field. I doubt you have the grounds to lecture me on being realistic.

Then what do you call his recent drafts?? Or the Kyle Boller pick?? Or pursuing McNair over Drew Brees?? Brilliant huh?? He was good at one time but would he be the first championship winner to be fired after multiple terrible drafts??

I said his raw talent was the best that we could get for a round3-4 pick. The idea is to find a talented player before he has his breakout!! Is it not?? What would Emmanuel Sanders command on the open market after last year?? Jeremy Maclin could have been acquired for a round3 pick at one time. BTW I proclaimed Lee to be better than Perriman as well as Diggs is better than Perriman.

Hard to take your "be realistic" comments seriously when you're calling a guy a role player/bust before he even plays a snap.

If you really think perriman will play to round1 status.... What will you say about oz when Perriman and fat max are both busts or mediocre.

Too funny!! Is it really a knee or is he not good enough to play yet?? That is a question. I actually usually agree with mostly everything with you grim. When I posted b4 we talked a lot on email. Can't remember my previous nickname on here. Edited by Winchester

Well, "Fat Maxx" actually played his best game of the season so far. I think he looked good today.

Right, a guy who plays in the NFL for a living is not in shape

Except for the fact that he is in shape.......

why are you guys feeding the troll lol

Because I do not agree with you I am a troll?? And fat maxx is not in shape. Not his best shape anyways. Not by far. Just because he is in the NFL does not mean he is in shape. Or can not get in better shape as far as muscle to fat ratio. Look at his combine 40 pics. He looks like a fat WR. He has some talent but needs get leaner, more muscular, thus stronger faster.

Trolling would be posting his pics and altering them to make him look bad.lol if I knew how to do that. He has hands and athleticism. Just needs to get stronger and faster. Being out of shape actually means he can get better once he builds an NFL TEs body. He could get far stronger and faster. I would say a 4.63 40 or better is realistic IF he gets in shape

The kid is 20 yrs old for crying out loud. Give him time and his body will mature. He still has some baby fat so I guess seeing him next to 25-35 yr old chiseled mature men he may appear to be fat. I assure you the kid is fine he's just a kid.
