Hopefully we lose the majority of our remaining games to get a top 5 pick. Winning at this point only hurts the future of the franchise.

This game is on the defense? No, really? Well, if this doesn't point of that Pees needs to go, nothing will. McCown gets 450 passing yards?!?!?! At this point it's not just bad luck or a slow start, this is a recurring problem with the defense falling apart in the 2nd half almost every game. Why is it that other teams can make effective adjustments but the Ravens just can't seem to do the same? It's not just a talent or depth issue.

Time for some major changes and rebuilding for next year. Yes Joe has not been lights out, but look what he has for wide receivers outside of SSS! Perhaps the problem goes beyond Pees, just a thought!

Given our recent history (or luck) at draft picks, does a top 5 pick even matter?  They'll still just muff it up as usual.

That was a sickening loss, and overall effort on both sides of the ball. I guess the defense is more at fault if you want to split hairs, but to have a victory staring you in the face from the 4 yard line on a final drive and have to settle for a FG is a major lack of urgency and sharpness. You HAVE to know you need 7 and may never get a chance to touch the ball again... and they nearly lost even in regulation within :40 seconds, allowing them to easily march right down the field only to have time expire.

My thoughts: with the exception of a 4 game playoff run to win a SB, this is basically how every game under Harbaugh has gone. The team NEVER improves as the season progresses. Same excuses. Same penalties. Same lack of production on offense. No coaching adjustments. At least 2-3 dumb mental mistakes, late hits, personal foul at the absolute worst time. I really believe this coaching staff is a total smokescreen. I would be highly in favor of a coaching change in the future.

I'll say it again...this is why you don't get excited when you read how deep we are at the WR position during OTA's and Training Camp. Every receiver in the NFL trying out in a jersey and shorts can catch everything. It's when you get in their faces when it "Gets Real" they get cut, get put on the Practice Squad, or become 3rd and 4th string receivers like we have.

Guess when Coach Billick came to camp and told them they were one of six teams that actually had a chance to win the Super Bowl it went to their heads. Season O-V-E-R !

All of this sucks, but on the bright side we may get a decent draft pick next year and I pray we use it on a WR. Dean Pees needs to be fired as well, his conservative style late in games is costing us big time. I'll be happy if we get 4 wins this year.

Amazing. Its the same issues every game, every loss. Can't stop the other team when we need one and the stupid penalties at the worst time. Another loss that should not have happened. One stop. One big play, thats all that was needed and nobody, NOBODY STEPS UP WHEN NEEDED!

The offense is fine -- they put up 30 points and had multiple leads in this game.

The defense let a second tier QB on a 1-3 team rack up 450 yards on them. He was rarely under much pressure and his receivers weren't guys like AJ Green or Julio Jones. It was just a bad showing by a bunch of guys that, as Steve Smith seemed to suggest, in one of his rants a few weeks back, don't have that winning instance and "are just happy to be on the team". I don't think Pees is the whole problem (I wish he was, that would be much easier to fix). I think we have multiple guys on the team that look great on paper but phone in their performances. And then seem happy in the post game interviews mugging for the camera and saying "I have to play better. We need to execute". No kidding.

If we can't beat Cleveland at home, I really don't love our chances against 9 or 10 of our upcoming opponents.

reasons for loss:

1. too many blown coverages (splash plays)

2. too many mis-tackles

3. too many penalties

And finally, late in the game the defense can't stop anyone and have no pass-rush

Even though we stink "big time," it really hurts to see us lose close games like this. This game really shouldn't've been a nail-biter, but when it went to OT I figured we'd lose. In the 2nd half, it seemed like Cleveland was moving the ball at will, in the air on us. I don't see us making the play-offs this year cause I don't see us winning enough games. If we finish 8 - 9 we'll be fortunate. By the time our playmakers heal, the season will be lost for us. Looks like Cinci's ballin' right now at 5-0. Ray Lewis need to come talk to these dudes at the training facility, they need some inspiration or something!

Seems like Penalty flags always find the Ravens. They really, really need to tighten up on discipline but I will say that roughing the passer penalty was total BS!!!

@Ravensfan5520 -- why would you want them to consider picking WR in the first round AGAIN. Never works out for us. Best WR we ever drafted in recent history was Torry Smith in round 2. If we pick high we need to get a pass rusher or corner or replace whichever guard we can't afford to keep.

I understand why it's so easy to say fire Pees, but while you're at it why not fire Harbaugh too. I mean he's the one allowing Pees to call plays and allowing his team to look like that. Every lost was a 4th quarter comeback, that stings.

IMO the game was lost when JK missed that 50 yarder in Q2. That kick would have made it a three possession led by Baltimore. Instead, Cleveland scored, and it was a one possession game and all downhill from then. And as bad as the defense played, the ravens O had a chance to win it in OT and [profanity deleted] the bed. This season is lost unless they go 11-5 or 14-4, so basically win out, and i don't see happening.

everything is definitely not on pees. Part of it is definitely the players. When legends like ray and reed were here and even suggs, players wanted to push their limits for them and show them how good they can be. Players had a passion to play. Now, it's like they aren't even trying. Only a few give their all such as brandon williams and the tight ends.

Also, a problem on offense is definitely flacco. I have seen brown get open quite a few times now in several games yet flacco never looks his way and then gets sacked like an idiot. And many times he throws the ball too high even with perfect protection.

I really have to wonder why this is happening *sigh*. At least we aren't the lions or san fran

Please remember that brown drops every ball that comes his way

Dewy101? Sadly, you're right. We should be 0 - 5. We only got the Pittsburgh win because they made more mistakes than we did, and they made the last mistake. Both teams flip=flopped back and forth with plays. If they're kicker had been on-point, I think we would be 0 - 5. That win we got was a fluke! We only have a handful of players that are "playing like a Raven." They are Steve Smith Sr (before injury), Crocket Gilmore (before injury), Justin Forsett (before injury), Sizzle (before injury), Dumervil (before injury), Campanaro (before injury). Then we have a few that are starting to come around, like Aiken, Waller, Ross, Boyle, Max Williams. As far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on Marlon Brown. He seemed so promising after his rookie year, but now he seems inconsistent, like Torrey Smith. I don't know if it's because of lack of playing time or not. He's got potential though, and I can see he's trying to do better but I don't know if it'll be too little, too late before he gets benched.

This team brings back some very painful memories about Baltimore Football, when I used to sit in the stands during those cold games as a member of the Colts Marching Band. The only weapon the team had was my former employer, the late Toni Linhardt. These Ravens remind me of how we were the sorriest team in the NFL for decades, until Bob Ursay took his club out of town! It seems like we're headed back to such a reality!!

You can't expect a QB to make every throw. The offense did its job. 30 points is more than enough to win a game. Pees has to take the blame even if the players aren't playing up to par. It's his responsibility to make sure everyone does their job. I can't believe we've really had that many blown coverages when teams like the Pats and Steelers have less talent than us on defense.
