[News] Mounting Injuries Taking Heavy Toll On Ravens

46 posts in this topic

"I don't get worn down," Harbaugh said. "That will not happen. I will not get worn down, especially by injuries." Yeah? Give up the macho facade, Harbs! If you're not worn down by this mess of a team, you should be. Maybe that's why despite the obvious signs that this season has gone into the toilet, there doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency by this organization in getting things back on track.

They are playing for a high first round draft pick.

Allegedly we were supposed to be one of the best conditioned teams. Laughable now but what gives with all these injuries? They need to reexamine what their doing because it's not working.

I know people like to say next man up or whatever, but the truth is there isn't a single team in the league that can handle this many starters being injured and still be able to field starting quality players at each of the positions. It's also impossible to have depth that good at every position. That's just a simple fact.

Stop with the injury excuses. If you let your team hinge on one player in the NFL then your the dumbest team in the nfl. Ravens still have their QB and running back, and Oline

I was surprised that talioferro was inactive- could have really used him when Justin went down inside the ten. We may have to pull Magee back up and see what he can do. Heck might as well.

It literally blew my mind... Someone posted this in another thread... This was posted in the Baltimore Beatdown at 4:45 pm yesterday

WR Steve Smith Sr.

WR Michael Campanaro

WR Darren Waller

WR Breshad Perriman

CB Lardarius Webb

CB Kyle Arrington

CB Rashaan Melvin

CB Will Davis

S Matt Elam

TE Dennis Pitta

TE Crockett Gillmore

T Eugene Monroe

RB Lorenzo Taliaferro

RB Justin Forsett

DE Chris Canty

OLB Terrell Suggs

OLB Elvis Dumervil

Are all currently injured, or at one point injured.  It kind of puts a lot of it in perspective as to why we are where we are...

It seemed to me after Forsett went down the offense gave up, I mean c'mon first and goal at the 9 yard line and win the toss in OT and go 3 and out, c'mon!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened, no desire to win the way I see it.

O yea New England has 17 injured players. Same as Ravens.

Not 17 key players.....  the list is long, but distinguished...  While it's nice to say it's not about injuries???  That is naïve as well.  I know the defense hasn't stepped up.  and yes, it's time for figureheads to fall.  But there is no way in "H... E... Double-Hockeysticks you're going to tell me it has nothing to do with this.

It's just not one injury to one key player people! It's multiple starters. If you expect backups to do what our starters do then you ARE in LA LA land. We have 11 more games to go so if you wish them to quit now shame on you! Ravens are not quitters and I guarantee you they will fight hard to make things better. They will more then likely lose several more games but it is what it is. They will deal with it and so should we. Go Ravens.

Yeah, injuries have not helped the Ravens, but there were at least two games (Raiders and Browns) where stupid defensive penalties late in the fourth quarter sealed the losses. Jernigan's stupid personal foul on Derek Carr and Z Smith and Babin LINING UP offside were killers. Not to mention Babin's illegal hands to the face penalty, so I won't.

You can have injuries and still play smart, heady, WINNING football, but the Ravens come up short on the IQ scale this year.

Nah! Ozzie would probably trade back.
