[News] Ravens Ticked Off With 1-4 Record

97 posts in this topic

So tell me how long does it take a GM to fix a issue thats going on three years before you start to wonder if he lost it.?

It's not so much that he's lost it; we've drafted in the bottom 1/3 for the last 8 years and have no room in our salary cap for key positional players.

$9.5 million for Rice to sit at home and $2.65 million for Jacoby to play for San Diego and $7.5 million for Ngata to play for the Lions = $21 million in dead money this year alone!!!  Can't do much in free agency with that kind of dead money sitting around.

They shouldn't be "ticked off". They should be embarrassed every time they take the field, after the effort they have displayed in 5 games so far. And that includes Joe Flacco, who does not play anything like a $120 million dollar, SB winning QB, at all. O-line, WR corp, young TEs, injuries, defense caving, horrible OC hire, you name it. A long litany of excuses that people dredge up for Joe, season after season. But the fact of the matter is, while he is solid, and SOMETIMES great, the argument about him being "elite" has always been laughable and moot. He never has been, nor will he ever be "elite", because he lacks the one thing that all elite players possess: consistency. He has none, not just game to game, but sometimes snap to snap within a single game. Elite QBs put the team on their back in tough times, and elevate players around them when they need to the most. They don't use young guys or inexperienced guys or injuries as an excuse. Flacco is not elite. And this team plays like it just doesn't really want to win in 2015.

compared to last year, our offensive numbers are very similar. the issue here is the defense.....whether Flacco is elite or not has nothing to do with the fact you want more offensive production with LESS offense around him

You don't have to give up, but you damn sure better hang your heads low for awhile. Don't you dare raise your heads till you earn that right.

5 games. 5 blown 4th quarter leads. Anyone blaming Flacco or the offense is crazy. The problem is with the defense and the prevent package. Pees needs to stop playing so cautious and stay aggressive when they have a lead. Get out of the booth so Harbs can slap you upside the head when you go full stupid and give the game away.
