[News] Ravens Ticked Off With 1-4 Record

97 posts in this topic

We lack leadership on this team- trading away Ngata and Torrey Smith hurt- believe it or not. Everyone respected Ngata, and he was always good for getting a couple of passes batted away each game- but Ozzie wanted to cheap out and not give these two a contract. I'm not by no means saying Torrey was a number 1, but he did stretch the field, led the league in PI calls last year, and opened up passes for the intermediate routes- that's why our scrubs (e.g. Marlon Brown, Aiken) looked decent last year- and Ozzie incorrectly thought they'd be okay with our third stringers as WR this year. There's not one bad thing you can say about Torrey- he was clutch when we needed him - we don't have these play makers anymore. Oz?

harbs said they will compete. Haaaa what a joke, is all bla bla bla. Why not call yourself out and say your being out coached or that Pees is clueless along with trestman.

I'd pay to see that...I appreciate the patience the org has shown, but enough is enough. It's obvious that the scheme Pees uses sucks. It's just horrible, vanilla, so obvious that teams just run right through us like a bad taco through a frat kid. Trestman, he could be doing better IMO, but at the same time it's not like we're not putting points on the board. I'm way more concerned with the D at this point. Man, I've never seen a Ravens defense look so helpless. It's enfuriating!

I didn't realize how many players left the game. Dumervil, Davis, and Webb. Injuries are killing us and lack of leadership. If we could only close games out we could be sitting real nice right now

Ravens ticked off about the 1-4 record? how about the people who pay big money for tickets to see the same issues year after year? I guess everyone will now STOP making fun of Cleveland!

My fellow Ravens Nation this season and team hasn't given us much to speak postively about but I will say this there are teams out there that wish they could've had our GM, coaches and players. We've been around 20 years and trust me we weren't contenders for the entire 20. This league is unpredictable, some teams like Jacksonville, Cleveland, Tennessee just to name a few are all teams that lose every year they wish they could be as successful as we have been. We play in the hardest division in the NFL and its teams like us that made it harder for ourselves. Our blueprint for success worked and everybody in the league especially in our division have copied it and have succeeded. We are stinking it up this season, but it's not like we are getting shut out every week. We have come within a play or two from each game. All we have shown is that we are not perfect. If we were we would be 5-0 but theres a lot of work that needs to be done, not just the players this goes across the board. GM, coaches and players all need to be held accountable for the product they are putting on the field every week. We are losing a lot more than we are used to but one thing u gotta realize is the fight that we have been giving every week! We aren't closing out games but look at some of the unproven players we have on our team. I'll be a Ravens fan for life and its because even with the team of "scrubs" we aren't getting embarrassed every week. We lose but we go down swinging! #LoveThisTeam #Respect

Wow, the players are ticked off with their record thus far. Well that take the cake as I see it. The play so far has been proof that this year is over for the RAVENS. When you lose to the Raiders and the Browns you have to realize that you are now one of the worst teams in the NFL. You have to wonder what goes on during team practices. Seeing the secondary out of position time and again really shows the incompetence of the players and ultimately the coaching. The media berating those that are on the field week after week is getting old now. Anyone can see that the team is in disarray and at a loss for not having that killer instinct when it comes to securing lead in the last few minutes of the game. They just don't have the talent to do that this year. Al of these pick up players that we are getting are out there for a reason. They can't make it on the other 31 teams. We can see that they can't make it here either. Injuries are showing how bare the cupboard really is now and that frustrates this fan so much that I am not going to spend another 3 hours watching the team fail in the end. It is just to damned painful to watch this level of play from our team anymore. Write this year off and look to the next draft and just maybe we won't have to hear all of that media Super Bowl hype next summer. It seems that once we hear that crap, the team begins to believe it and just doesn't play like our RAVENS. It is time to clean house and rebuild. The front office needs to realize that now after seeing this sad effort. That goes for coaching changes too.

Thank you harbs for not throwing in the towel we are Ravens and we fight to the end!

Please swallow a little bit of pride and fire pees ASAP. Please promote someone from within so we can know by the end of the season if he's a keeper of if we need someone else. Please bring Ed Reed back home to work with our secondary. He can relate to them and teach them a few things. He knows the modern NFL passing game better than anyone we have.

Looking at how horrible the lions have been, Ngata is not staying there. His stats suck coz the team sucks. But I saw a few games and the guy still attracts double teams or causes havoc in the backfield. Please bring him back for a year or 2 until b.williams, Jernigan, and Davis develop into the best trio in the AFC north.

I know it sucks but we have a solid foundation to build around! We have a ton of cap space next year. We have a QB that will restructure freeing up more cap space. Now more than ever..... In Ozzie I trust!

Pardon me for saying this, and maybe it's just me, but isn't the job of coaching supposed to show when you don't have your starting playmakers in the roster? We keep making excuses for Pees - injuries here injuries there. But if all your top playmakers are healthy wouldn't a braindead monkey seem like Buddy Ryan from 1985? It's when a guy here or there start to go down that the coaches prowess starts to come forth, no? And I'm sorry, bending but not breaking by sitting your backs 10 yards off the ball when the chips are down and you're paralyzed in fear is something anyone can do, it doesn't take a genius to call plays out of fear.

Thank you! Someone who gets it! The offense was down all their playmakers short of Flacco and Forsett (who only had the one good game prior) and Trestman did some things different to make things happen. Now, still not a big fan of Trestman, but I will give him that. What does Pees do? Same old, same old.

Lets take this one step further, who is responsible for keeping clueless Pees employed? Why has he not done anything about this? Is he also clueless?

Our season is over after the first month of football, and it appears that Harbs is going to "practice harder". Go print some more tee shirt Harbs

457 yards says it all, Let's see if Harbs will man up and fire him

Aiken has produced at a good rate when targeted this year, if he continues he could end up with about 50 recs for 7-800 yards. Not exactly scrub numbers.

When your defense sucks you run the ball to keep defense off the field. Ozzie had a whole year to fixed the secondary and yet it's the same story

"No more ticked off than the season ticket holders."

I hear you on that one, not only are the season ticket holders ticked off, but I think everyone in Ravens Nation is just as angry and confused as to why we are 1-4.

I will never stop rooting for the Ravens (as I used to root for the Baltimore Colts), but it is a little disheartening to see the season go down the tubes so early. I won't say we can't turn this season around, but it is going to be a tall task and if the defense doesn't wake up and start playing ball then we are looking at a 5-11 record at best.

get use to it like I said before 4 to 6 wins if there lucky the secondary still sucks flaco is not worth the money jimmy smith sucks, he gets beat at least once a week for either bid plays or touchdowns. they could end up in the bottom 10 in the nfl at the end of the season.

Ravens were in every game, every one. We just don't seem to be getting the lucky breaks this year. But you make your own luck and this teams poor play and the almost never ending bonehead penalties that come at the worst times, have us where we are and where we belong, at the bottom of the AFC North.

I just look at it one game at a time. The day the Ravens stop being a team that fights is the day I lose interest in them. Until then, which I hope never happens, I'm behind them on winning the next game. And the next, and the next....regardless of their record.

Could the "season ticket holders" come down off of their high horse and get over themselves, please? Buying season tickets does not mean you are entitled to anything except a seat. IT IS A GAME! And you guys talk like it's your personal stock. You guys are the first one to sell your tickets to comp your money during a bad season. So don't try to tell everyone how much more of a fan you are than anyone else. We are 1-4 for the FIRST time in our HISTORY. And you guys talk like it is Armageddon. If you can't handle tough times, if you can't handle rough seasons, if you can't handle losing, then sports are not your thing and you really should not renew your season tickets. You make our fan base look like a bunch of spoiled, crybabies. With all of the success this team has had with this leadership group and front office, you would think we would be more supportive. No one enjoys losing. Least of all the coaches and players. But to play the all entitled "season ticket holder" card is pathetic.

You all remember back in 2012 when we lost 3 straight games and Cam Cameron got fired as a result? Maybe that's in the stars for Dean Pees.

Yes! I'm more disappointed with the fans than I am with the team! Why? Well, taking pride in team and all you associate it with, also includes the caliber of fans you stand beside in this effort and thinking that most generally 'believe' in beating odds and that's what football or any competitive sport requires to be successful. Sure it would be great to be winning right now, sure it sucks to be losing...but to see fans kick the players, coaches and staff while they are down and fighting to get out of the hole is quite frankly an emabassing assembly of supposed supporters who are nothing of the such! I know there are some die hard fans out there tho, like you and others I read...I take solace in that, not everyone feels so entitled as some here obviously do. Armchair quarbacks, lol ...as if they could 'get it done' while at home analyzing everything into a ditch. Try being supportive for a change, what happened to "win, lose or tie, I'm a Ravens till I die?" Seems shallow sentiment lately based on some posts seen here. I know some will say "we have a right to point out what's not working, and not always pretend it's all sunny." Yeah, but the team needs its fans to BELIEVE in them. I just don't see many doing that ATM. Sad. Such extreme disbelief is actually what's happening.

If the players are ticked off with their record, maybe they will come to the realization that with all the injuries they have suffered they cannot win when they play so stupidly.

Although maybe it is not all their fault.  To see Harbs going ballistic over the call on Guy was very telling.  Is it possible that the players commit so many penalties because they are supported when they commit them?
