[News] Game Recap: Browns 33, Ravens 30 (OT)

We all know the players are great, which means these losses came down to coaching. Harbaugh has to decide whether he's doing something wrong or Pees is, because we shouldn't go from being a perennial playoff team to contending for the No.1 Pick.

0-2 at home. Only team with a worse record is the Lions. While it looks like this season is done, we do have a bright future with a lot of young players who are really good, they just got a bummed deal playing for a losing team this year is all. Much more salary cap space next year, even after Flacco's restructured deal. Several players will no longer be on the team next year. Possible Ravens will start trading players who most likely will not be on the team next year, racking up more picks and having even more cap space. We had a great run for 7 years, we were due to hit a wall sooner or later. I am bummed out how the Ravens are playing this year but am not going to shift my allegiance to another team because of one bad year. A lot of Ravens fans knows bad years comes and goes. I can think of a handful of really bad years the Ravens had and still hung in there with the team. Like in the past, we will eventually get out of it and be in the thick of it again next year. I think it is time for Dean Pees to go and get a new DC no later than end of season. I do appreciate the efforts of Dean Pees including our 2012 Super Bowl run but it is time for a new DC, his schemes are not working good enough to win games. In 2012, Ravens overall defense was ranked 16, since then 2013-#21, 2014-#25 and now 2015 at #20 and falling. We are the 8th worse team in points per game allowed. Time for a change simply because it has not been working well since 2013. We have a lots of young talents, time for a new DC to try to turn around a once proud defensive tradition that has fallen down the ladder in recent years.

What if we do get the number one pick? What we do with it? The pick want be a QB. Is there a WR worthy of first pick? A defense back never gets the first overall pick. I'm guessing a pass rusher or Ozzie trades down to get multiple picks that I hope will included Joe's replacement because there's not way he gets paid all of that money on his contract unless he gets on a run again and wins a super bowl next year.

I think we've been living off a degree of hype about the Ravens ability to find talent. I see a future of mediocrity before we might resuface near the top of our division. We have been living off the talent and reputation of past years. (I definitely don't think we've come close to the holy grail of drafting scary wide receivers.)

We don't have talent on the back end. Jimmy Smith is all we have. Webb is made of glass.

Pro Bowl CJ Mosley was getting lit up today. He couldn't cover a RB, TE, Ref, towl boy...

Most linebackers in the league can't cover TE and shifty RBs. That's how any  OC worth their salt tries to do every week get a LB on a fast offensive player and get safeties to cover Wrs. A good Def Coordinator would recognized this after the first 5 times and adjust. Most pregame analyst will say LBs cover best in a zone not man to man.

I'm shocked. Never did I think we'd actually lose to the Browns- at home.

How come everyone last year and this year knew our secondary was an issue but Ozzie? Do you think we could've trusted Webb to be injury free this year when he's injured every year (same thing with Jimmy Smith). With either or both out, that leaves us with 0 or at best one decent (not shut down) corner?

At least we'll get some higher, earlier draft picks next year- I bet Bisciotti also won't let Harbs keep Pees around next year- that's for sure.

All along as I said even before the year started (bc Ozzie didn't address corners/ WRs), we we should've never been considered superbowl contenders- rather, we're superbowl pretenders. Our last 3-4 drafts have mostly 'overall' been busts- we don't have any starting corners or talented WRs because Ozzie typically doesn't like to use high picks on Corners and WRs - and when he does, he picks the frail ones (J Smith and Perriman). Please let Ozzie just pick linebackers and lineman but every other position- let's give DaCosta a shot- he can't do any worse.

Scott McCloughan is doing a great job for the other team down the beltway.

Good game! Keep yall heads up "IT WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN"! If the Defense can carry this team for years w/o pointing it's finger at the Offense don't start pointing fingers at the Defense now that it has some new parts! Gotta stop depending on the run and let Joe keep slinging that Rock to these young WRs and put it away! Forsett went out and so did the Offense! Should of threw a TD instead of depending on the run! Joe gotta get "HIS" numbers up because his yards are enough! I want that 400 plus Joe back and saying the WRs aren't cutting it is getting old he had Marlon across the middle again and threw it away!

This team no matter how bad is in my mind will never be in the conversation for the no 1 pick this team will fight until the 16th game is through...

It's Cleveland and we are the RAVENS we shouldn't be losing to them with a 20M a year QB. We didn't score on the last drive of regulation to win the game. Brady and Manning has done it for years...win without dominant defense. Rogers won for years without having a 100 yard rusher. The defense played horrible pass defense, bu the offense had a chance to seal the deal.

Brady and Manning have not done anything at all with the type of skill players on offense that the Ravens have right now. When Brady got credit for "carrying" a bad receiving corps in 2013, Kamar Aiken was on their practice squad, meaning that our current #1 WR wasn't even good enough to make the roster for the Patriots in their worst year. Manning and Rodgers have had a great receiving corps their entire careers. We were down to 3rd string at every skill position on offense and still put up 30, without benefitting from any turnovers forced by the defense. Most of Flacco's incompletions at the end of the game were throwaways, because he doesn't have anyone to throw to. It makes no sense to put it on the offense for not sealing the deal. The most injury depleted unit in the league gave the defense multiple opportunities to seal the deal, and they gave it away. I don't care who the qb is, or how much money he is paid, nobody is putting up more than 30/game with a bunch of 3rd stringers who aren't even good enough to make the roster on most teams.

As far as the ravens drafting goes they are really good at finding mediocre guys but look at Green Bay they only have three guys on their team that were signed as free agents the rest were drafted and they actually win games

I though pro bowl meant elite... I guess all those tackles they broke of his were because of scheme.

Dude I agree with you. I've been saying for years he's only good in the playoffs for some reason, in the regular season like you said "hes sucked quite honestly".

Come on man. Joe is doing more with less than any QB in the league. no Intss, 1 Pass TD, 2 rush TDs and he sucked today?  He's making guys like Aiken , Campanero, Brown money when no one else would even draft them. Adding years to the career of guys like Mason, Boldin, Smith Sr, Daniels. Does he miss throws? yes, is he elite? No, He put 30 points on the board with a bunch of guys who were cut or on the street. Get him some help

News flash!!!!! ITS NOT THE OFFENSE! So leave Joe out of it!! Its the last few years of draft bad draft picks and getting a high draft pick next year is not going to help. After 2008 Ravens had one pro bowl caliber player (CJ) which by the way look like crap today.

We all love Joe. Now in ALL 4 loses the Ravens have had the ball inside the 10 yard line (first and 10), late and for the win, and Joe has gone 0 for 4 in definite winning situations. He's horrible. Today out of his last 8 passes he threw 6 out of bounds. REALLY....you can't do any worse than that. The new OC is useless; in fact he is worse than useless. Now that it is over, I feel so sorry for the Raven organization from top to bottom. What are they going to do? What do they play for? There are 11 meaningless games to be played. They were supposed to be in the Super Bowl. What do they do starting tomorrow? It's all about staying healthy and cashing the pay checks. It's been a great long run by a top organization, and I've enjoyed the ride. Today they were the far better team. Once they got the lead Joe laid down....no fire with a chance to put the game away. It was plain as day, you could see it before halftime. It's a shame, but it happens sometimes. There I'll be next Sunday....watching and rooting (although I'm not sure what for)....guess clawing to be .500. Go Ravens!!

The Ravens will continue to lose because the other teams know all they have to do is just pass against them. It's pretty bad when you know your team is going to lose even when you score 30 points.

The worst thing your doing right now is undermining Kamar right now. In a theoretical world your right kamar who didnt make the team in 2013 is our starting #1 wr and thats how bad our recievers are in brady's worst year... lol and also in a theoretical world were 5-0 and were superbowl favorites, lol in a theoretical world kamar sucks and so does marlon. Well in the real world its been over 2 years since 2013 right? well that gives time for player to get better... you see kamar has gotten better... you see marlon has gotten better... ok kamar was strapped up last week with a minute ago in pittsburgh and reached up and made an incredible 20+ yard catch to put us in field goal position... i thought he sucked... marlon ... yea he put up 7 tds in his rookie year but stats dont tell the whole story sometimes... i do think my eyes are good and i watch marlon make key block after key block this year and actually get open... i see joe not throwing him the ball because hes too busy throwing to other recievers he normally stares down... these guys are undrafted free agents... since 2013 lets see...torrey left, jacoby left, deonte thompson who was ahead of kamar on the depth charts before training camp last year left, tandon left, stokley left, they were all ahead of kamar who finished on the ps that year i didnt see kamar in the games during 2013... my point is this offense is moving the ball with a purpose Kamar doesnt suck marlon doesnt suck if you actually watch the games.

The Defense gave up 457 yards passing! Joe will never, ever score enough points for what this high school defense is going to give up. GET REAL PEOPLE!.

The Patriots have been at the top for many years now and can still get that done, how come we can't be like that? We have a 100 mil QB who can't seem to get the job done, we had a Superbowl team that got the job done but then Harbaugh and Ozzie decided that we didn't need the team who won the Superbowl anymore and cut or traded most of them and got nothing for them if anything at all. And we haven't been close to the Superbowl since, now we are 1 and 4 and in the basement of the AFC North, maybe there are people happy with that but I'm not. The things that Harbaugh and Ozzie and Pees have done seem to have crippled this team, we were ahead in this game today and then lost the game, a game that we should have won. And excuses cannot put a spin on that. Sure people are out hurt, but every team in the NFL have people on the injury list, we lost because of decisions made by Harbaugh, Ozzie, and Pees who is a poor defensive coordinator. Ever since Ray Lewis has been gone and the team was handed over to Harbaugh we have been going down hill, now we are at rock bottom unless somehow they can resurrect this terrible beginning of a season and get the Ravens back on track, which I doubt, but I would sure like to see that happen!!! GO RAVENS but not in the direction that we are going "TURN IT AROUND" okay!!!

The way we have lost and what gets said after games I feel like if watched the same week for 4/5 weeks. Ravens lose and then say we have to put this behind us can't dwell on it ... Well maybe if you did dwell on it you would be able to win a game or two

"After watching the preseason i thought a healthy ravens team was a superbowl contender now were a laughing stock... we can sulk but i mean weve been so good for so long maybe a year of bad play cant be avoided"

Do you realize that if we miss the playoff this year, it would be 2 out 3 yrs missing the playoff? And last yr we barely made it into the playoffs even though we played well in the playoff once we got in last yr.

no joe isnt making them look good.... at least these past two games he hasnt... aiken campanaro and marlon have been self made... joe today wasnt good because at key points he made some bad decisions that joe normally makes that pisses me off... aiken got open today on joe haden... got seperation off joe haden today... made a clutch 4th quarter catch to set up tucker last week caught a td last week while cockrell was smothering him in coverage... kamar is a pretty good reciever.. marlon gets open joe just doesnt throw him the ball... today we were supposed to run the ball well we were supposed to set up play action passes hitting crossing routes or checkdowns and keep the offense in a rythym we can really plug anyone on our roster and be successful at it because these recievers run crossing routes well  can tight ends and our back can get yac yards... when we go to a shotgun or dropback offensive set joe decides to not move his feet at all and he allows the pressure to get to him... and thats really why he has been struggling

And how many times did McCown throw the same screen pass to an wide open receiver for yardage? Way too many and the Defense couldn't even recognize it after they had been beaten numerous times.

because tom brady is better than flacco and they have true mismatches on offense in gronk and edelman and they have bill belicheck... i have to keep it honest with you joe can only succeed in a play action west coast offense.. occasionally throwing his great deep ball
