No reason to play him now. Might as well shelve him for 2016.

Nah he needs gametime to improve and make sure he won't die when he gets hit

I see a win this game(knock on wood). Kaepernick has regressed big time. He's like a deer in headlights out there. Both awful teams.

Our defense will boost his confidence.

Yeah, but our defense is driving in the dead of night down an unlit country road with our headlights off.

I agree with that 100%. No way we rush him, but if he can play this year, he needs to play. We need to better assess what we actually have in him so we know just how awful our WR corps might be rolling into next season. We can't play this game of thinking about what we might get out of him.

We've given Carr, Dalton, and McCown career days. I expect us to give Kaep one as well.

Calmer will put up 700yrds while he has the ball for 50 minutes.

Im totally against that. You need to evaluate him at the very least. If he makes a huge impact it will lower the urgency to grab a WR a tad bit. It also gives him some more experience out there which is important for his development.

And yet, we are expecting a playoff caliber team out there... and placing blame on coaching and coordinators.  Time for folks to open their eyeballs.

Agreed. If he's a bust we need to know now.

I don't think you can judge him as a bust if he isn't lights out, I mean he's missed a lot of time but at the very least you can see what he can do out there.

I feel we all keep saying "we always make bad teams/players look elite"...well maybe just maybe in reality, we are actually a bad team playing against another bad team who plays slightly better than us...I feel we haven't been an all around good team in a while...

I'll betcha that Kap with Torrey & Anquan will light up our secondary like a firecracker .

I'm calling it here ,Kap throws for over 300 yards ,maybe 400 and has 2-3 td passes .

49ers look awful, a bit worse than us, I think they'll beat us to top pick.

I mean....after we confirmed Barnidge's superstar I don't know what to say. The 49ers look horrible........but we can't stop anybody and any modicum of defense will force us to go 3 and out.....so I'm just glad we got a win in.

I think they only look worse than us in that they can never get a lead to blow. They look so bad though.

I can just see Kap running wild on this defense. During the second half against Cleveland, the pocket kept getting pushed around in such a way that McCown was left with no one in front of him. Kap is going to run when that happens.

Maybe.....Kaepernak is a bigger disaster than our defense though.  Hard to say who will be worse.
