The good, bad and ugly vent Browns at Ravens.

I also thought Ross did a good job.

Yeah I left Ross out.  Some nice play from him.  I think he has much more value to us than Marlon Brown when it comes time to cut a WR.

Marlon brown couldn't catch a cold. He needs to be cut. Once again we make a sub par qb look like a pro bowler. I just don't get it. Aiken started out hot but disappeared in the 2nd half. No givins. If only forsett didn't get injured on that last drive. He was punishing them and on a roll and he goes down when we need him the most. Not his fault, just our luck. Unless we win the next 2 in a row were done. Most ppl expected us to lose against Arizona so if we can salvage that game we might scratch our way back in. But at this point I wouldn't count on it. This defense needs a major overhaul- and I for one think that starts with the one calling the plays.

Forget about it. This team is going nowhere. Now I can find better things to do on Sunday than watch these overpaid scrubs play a kid's game. I imagine a 1-15 season. We'll get a top draft pick, but Ozzie will probably screw that up as well. He needs to retire and let a real GM come in. He hasn't done anything really worthwhile in many years.

I'd like to get the 6th pick and get either Ramsey or Hargraves, really need some young blood in this secondary. Jimmy and Hill are the only two players worth a damn

Apperntly Ramsey's taken a big step back

I for one think the problem is pees.... Not mainly for his play calling but his mentality and attitude... he's just a soft fat guy and it transitions over to our defense... In the past, our D has been rugged rough and nasty because of our coordinators mentalities(Rex, Marvin Lewis, Pagano).  Even when we had pagano ,who isnt the roughest guy, our team played for him and went balls out.  I dont see that with Pees.  He's just too lame to be a ravens D coordinator.  I may get negged but its the truth.  HE'S LAME.

If we do pick high and all signs are pointing to that right now then get a real play maker don't trade back.

Being cynical it wouldn't surprise me if we did trade back and then trade a group of picks to get multiple picks in certain rounds. I'd like to think we'd pick up a top player though like you suggested.

Lol give me a break. The talent is there.

Our players and coaches screwed up. Oz is fine.

Too old to Rock and Roll....

Too young to die

Babin is god awful. He did nothing but cost us penalties. He does more harm than good and doesn't even look like he wants to be out there.

To try to lighten the mood a bit, here are some positives I found...

Sam Koch was money all day for the most part.  Terrence Brooks is a monster on the blitz.  Even if he doesn't get there, he forces pressure.  Forsett, Allen, and the OL all had great games.  Aiken stepped up early but faded down the stretch.  Trawick remains the best ST player we have.

All in all, I'm glad to see Forsett follow his performance in Pittsburgh with another big game. There were quite a few overreactions that were calling for his head and proclaiming him to be a bust, and those should quiet down after today.

I really liked Brown but he sure has regressed for sure you just might be onto something here.

It's one thing to play without Dez and Julio. It's another thing to expect to have a potent offense with nothing but undrafted players. Not a team in the league had that, stop.

And while it's disappointing that the offense couldn't convert that last TD, I have no idea why that would be anyone's main concern with our defense giving up a 3rd career game to QB in five games.

Oh c'mon now. You've been here long enough to know how it goes:

Flacco has a 71 completion percentage, over 100 QB rating puts up 30 odd pts and the defense gives up 14 pts in the 4th. It is the offense's fault for not scoring 40.

The offense has a decimated receiving corps, clearly the worst in the league, still puts up 30 pts, the defense gives up 14 pts in the 4th quarter and loses the lead, but it is the offense's fault for not scoring 33 pts.

The offense plays a horrible 1st half but plays a great 2nd half and takes the lead and the defense loses the lead in the 4th quarter. It is the offense's fault for not showing up for one half.

BUT the defense takes a half off (like last week) and looks okay against a washed up Vick and they are GREAT!

Same old, same old since Pees came here.

We had the Browns done just before half ..I blame both sides of the ball once again we took our foot of the gas pedal and went to safe mode. Pees should be fired asap no more waiting for end of season at least let someone else in the ranks give it a try.

JH gets blame here as well. Get on that mic and tell both coaches to stay on the gas pedal and don't let off. I always see him shaking his head while looking at the ground, it's your team make things happen at the moment not late in the forth.

How come all these years we can't seem to develope a good receiver . I understand we don't draft high but come on outside of bring in a vet. We can't teach a wide receiver to be better that what we have.

Flacco....open your eyes Givens broke away twice and you throw the harder throw to another man. You should be changing the calls at the line when it's being loaded, no more BS that we run the play sent in.

ok let's be honest , Ravens one of the worst teams in the league right now. it is a fact. in Pittsburgh we were just lucky, could be 0:5

I wouldn't be against it tbh. We need so much help that multiple picks would help us.

Yep.  Seems the outside zone is back in full force.  It seemed like we got away from that in the first 3 games.  It helps that KO is playing back up to form and knocking heads in the second level.

Gary Barnidge killed us.  Gary.  Barnidge.  Let that sink in.

There's no more sugarcoating it for me.  This is just a bad team right now.  QBs stay way too comfortable in the pocket because they know there's not much pressure coming off the edge.  We all know that we lack any sort of game changer on offense right now.  It's ugly.

LMAO now that is my quote of the week. SMH, yes he did.

It's so sickening to feel as though the season is over with 11 games still left in the season. I look forward to football season every year and this year I feel like we have no chance after today. It is going to be depressing to look forward to more disgraceful showings like these games. So many problems to fix, so many injuries, penalties, bad DC coaching, bad tackling, secondary a joke, etc....the list goes on. It's going to be a long season and the fool in me still hopes for a miracle. Whatever changes can be made now, do it now. At least play respectable football.

It doesn't matter who our DC is. We just suck in every aspect. This season is completely lost. No chemistry in the secondary what so ever. Injuries left and right. No passrush to be seen. Even if we had Rex Ryan or Wade Phillips we would still suck.

But that being said Pees needs to be gone. This team doesn't respond to his coaching style. We need a serious shake up some how. Fire the secondary coach as well. He hasn't done a good thing since he's been here. Everybody is complaining about Ozzie picking too many defensive players but imo he hasn't picked enough DB's. Since 2011 how many DB's have he picked in the first 3 rounds?

As much as it pains me to say this, this season is 100 percent on Ozzie. He has failed miserably this off-season.

Apperntly Ramsey's taken a big step back

Ramsey's been played out of position, and he's still one of the best safeties in the country. Personally I'm not stressed by his underwhelming season (yet).

Agreed on all accounts. I even saw Eugene Monroe open up a lane on one of those stretches to his side. Those are some positives moving forward. I also wouldn't mind seeing Jeremy Ross remain on the active roster.

Great post. Exactly why I don't give Pees a pass for the injuries. Pees has gotta go.

I never thought I'd see a day when Browns washed-up QB throws 450+ yards on Ravens D at M&T and they score 30 points.

I stand by my previous assessment of Dean Pees - his defenses of the previous 3 years were coached on the field by Ray, Ed Reed, Suggs, Ngata, D. Smith. It will be a tragedy if he is still Ravens coordinator come Monday. He can take DB coaches with him, too.

Pathetic.

Here's guessing he's released tomorrow .

He was db coach last year. He was the guy that taught the guys last year. This year he managed the personnel that taught secondaries.

He needs to be scraped asap.

As long as Pees goes first I'm okay with that.

He is a 4-3 afaik but he knows are to create pressure

I think we have the personnel to pull off a 4-3. It'd be too drastic to put him there in the middle of the season and expect us to become the 1985 Bears all of a sudden, but as far as offseason moves go I think we could do worse.
