Guess another nightmare scenario: Joes nearly $30million next year.

Actually I should shake his hand. That's called having a good agent lol. We hate it, but he did his job well.

I didn't say I thought that it was a penalty, because I really didn't.  I DID say it was a stupid penalty because it was.  In today's NFL you will get called for following through on QB who has released the ball.  I also thought the hands to the face call against Babin was a poor call but when Jeff Tripplette and his terrible crew are out there you gotta work extra hard to avoid stuff like that

yea i agree

these guys don't play angry...nobody is gettin hyped up to play

I agree and that starts with the players, but having a fiery defensive coordinator who calls plays from the sidelines might be better for this team.  The Browns D-coordinator was on the field congratulating his players after big plays and firing them up.  We need that out of our defensive coaches.  Brandon Williams and Lawrence Guy were the only two players on our defense today that even showed up, losing Dumervil was huge because he was applying a lot of pressure.  I would be surprised if Pees or one of our coaches is not let go this week

I don't think so though. Don't get hung up on the points we scored. Trestman knew the defense was struggling. You have to call a smart play on third and two in the fourth quarter when you are only up by 5. I can't give him a break when I screamed about this the last two times he did it in the fourth quarter in close games that we ended up losing. You have to keep drives alive in games like these. This is just my opinion and I am very upset about it right now.

I get your frustration and I agree they weren't the smartest calls, but in comparison to Cam Cameron I'll stick with Trestman another season and see what happens.

No one is infallible.  It would be incredibly short-sighted and foolish to can Ozzie after one bad year after being a consistent contender since 2008.  Bad years happen.  Get over it.

Get over it?

We'll see ...........I'm predicting Oz is out. Please god help the Ravens and let it be so.

Hopefully Bisciotti recognizes this team is degrading.  If not, he can always cash his Shared Revenue Salary Cap checks.

His agent linta needs a good punch in the face right now.

I understand but Flacco's salary is actually average as he is 12th highest paid QB this year. There is no way the Ravens will pay Flacco $30 million next year. It will be restructured.

But I'm guessing it probably won't be an 8-8 team that lost to Oakland and the Browns (one or both of whom might also be in the hunt).

It's not over mathematically because it's still theoretically possible for them to go on a 10 game tear, but we all know what the likelihood of that is.

Someone help me here.......I think we may have gone on 4 or 5 game runs in the 2010 to 2012 period. But his team is not going on a 10 game run.  Unless its a negative 10 game run.

Yea but its much different... really two different teams back then we had people who could cover back then late in games... we dont now

I've said my piece.

Firing Harbs is not the answer. Firing Trestman is not the answer either. Pees? Wait until the Bye. We need the extra week to install a new defense, if we do it before or after the bye, we're idiots.

But here's the thing.

Losing stars is going to hurt. Suggs was the spirit of our D, and is gone for the year. Doom was stepping up, and our D played well last week. Now he's gone. Webb? I hope it's not even short term and he's right back out there next week because he WAS lights out. Jimmy Smith is still good, but he can't do it alone. He's no Ed Reed.

But without our offense and defensive stars, we're just not gonna be good.

The good news?

If the Ravens play their cards right and bust out some key wins, and a few odds and ends go the way they should go, we could very well be in the Wild Card with a 9-7 record.

The bad news?

We have to basically win out against all AFC opponents, and lose only to the NFC opponents we have.

I think if we don't have this horrible slew of injuries this year, I think we are undefeated.

Ozzie, and Harbaugh alike, along with Flacco would last approximately 15 seconds each on the open market. Maybe 10 for Flacco.

Do you really want to get rid of all three?

You want to know what's happening? We have a young team. Most of our guys are players we have drafted the past three years. We have some good core pieces to work with.

Brandon Williams is Great

Jernigan looks good

Carl Davis looks good

Lawerence Guy is a good rotational piece

Mosley is great. A future superstar at LB position. He made all pro his rookie year.

ZDS has had his moments as a pass rusher. Something tells me he plays a roll in our future.

Terrence Brooks has had his moments here and there. And he's playing at a position where it takes FO

I agree, cut ties with Webb. Let that money go elsewhere. But those are players we have drafted or picked up in recent years. Before you account for Jimmy, who's been hot and cold since coming off the injury. Will Hill, who's a pretty good safety.

This team is extremely young... Very. We haven't even gotten to the offense yet.

Perriman

Maxx

Crockett

Lorenzo

Wagner

Juice

Campanaro

Boyle

Buck Allen

This was bound to happen. I'm not surprised. Very few young teams succeed in the NFL. It's a fact. We don't have a lot of vets. When we won our SB we were a very good balance.

Ozzie has missed on a few. Elam was his fault, not sure about Brown but don't have the best feelings for him... But wait. That's pretty much it. Simon plays elsewhere. Myers was nothing more than depth anyway so I won't give him too much crap.

Ozzie is safe. Sorry to spoil your fun. We're just young. It happens. in 2-3 years if we get a new DC and another good pass rusher this team will be great again. Book it

Odd thing about this team: I really can't think of a time where they have looked good. Perhaps defensively week one but generally I think they've looked ineffectual and in a word, crap.

Still, they are in every game...somehow. How does a team, without playing well even remain in games?

Hey.  At least admit he did his job well. You can hate him for that, but I tend to respect someone who is good at their respective craft.

I don't see why anyone would be hesitant to fire Peas. Our defense is the worst in the league. It can literally only here better

that whole issue with haloti really just through a wrench in our offseason didnt it?

I think The Ray Rice situation hurt the most. The Ravens were literally forced to rely on cheaper veteran players and  young guys to step up this season because of cap issues.

Firstly, McCown is not a bad QB. He lead the Bears two years ago and far outplayed Cutler, until the playoffs when Trestman put an injury healed Cutler back in.  Big Mistake.  I was worried about McCown  He's smart.  He knows where the defensive holes are and he found them to the tune of 21 second half points and an overtime where they put 3 up.  We were DEFENSELESS.  Did you watch that embarrassment?

So when you call for silencing Raven fans that can't stand this type of effort, just keep in mind what you're really asking.

ravens fans?

think most are just trolls or people that jumped on the bandwagon cause nothing they say makes any sense.

i doubt most even understand football lol.

seriously its just hilarious reading the stuff they are writing.

now lets look at this now we dont have the quarterback to go undefeated... i love joe and even if he plays his best every 4 or 5 games he will just completely lose his mind... that being said something really drastic has to happen to go 9-7 and especially make the playoffs. also the oakland game... i blame solely on trestman theres 2 and some change and they have there timeouts anyway the situation is we get a first down and we knee the ball until we kick the game winning field goal with no time remaining left on the clock... so the clock is running on 2nd down and we decide to throw it and harbaugh wasnt even expecting a throw and he was standing right next to marc... anyway we throw 2 straight incompletions when the running game was working at the time and give the ball back to the raiders and you know the rest... you have to give some blame to trestman

The positives of the game are the o-line and the running game looked great today.  Flacco looked pretty good also and our receivers created separation frequently.  Wish Givens would have gotten more involved but his slow start was expected.  How we didnt score a touchdown at the end of regulation when we were inside the 5 is beyond me though

a few veterans.......harbaugh is a good coach.

But we are losing the close ones. Lets be honest we caught an old Michael vick, if Big has Ben had played that game we'd be a late game folding team at 0-5.  We are losing ones we use to win.

Its bad...real bad.

yea along with that too but in my honest opinion if jimmy is healthy the whole year last year we go on to win it all...

21 points in the second half at home.

No effort in the overtime.

1-4

If our brain trust doesn't recognize its now crisis time they won't.

They may wish to play out the year with what we have. But heres the real kicker.

Do you really trust them with the high draft pick?  Because I don't.
