The good, bad and ugly vent Browns at Ravens.

Babin is god awful. He did nothing but cost us penalties. He does more harm than good and doesn't even look like he wants to be out there.

Heard them on 105.7 this morning talking about how they wanted to hear Babin's name called more in this game vs last (apparently he actually played some downs in Pittsburgh)... guess sometimes you have to be careful what you ask for.

It's time we start focusing on revamping and retooling both the coaching and players for next year. We need to make this stinker of a season count for something. So, it may be time to get high draft picks and start thinking about the future... Steve must be livid at our performance so far.

Past three years

Juice

B.Williams

CJ Mosley who may have had a bad game but is a hell of a player.

Wagner who has been improving ever since the injury. Browns do not have a bad pass rush

ZDS has played well

Carl Davis

Nick Boyle has played well

Jernigan

Brooks has had his moments.

John Urschel is not a bad guard. I think he's why we let KO walk

Lorenzo is a good complimentary back

As is Buck Allen

All from the past 3 drafts. They have all had moments. So where is he screwing up?

It's a young team. They are bound to make mistakes. It's how the NFL works

I feel like you're wasting your time trying to talk sense to these guys.

Bring Ray Lewis #52 in to be a defensive coordinator I bet he could get this defense fired up and he knows enough about defense to call the right plays at the right time.

This would bring a lot of excitement and energy to the team for sure.

Pees is too conservative.........Pees blitzes too much..............fire Pees

At some point people need to realize that the Ravens D has a lot of players that just aren't very good, and the rest aren't good enough(yet maybe?) to cover up others inadequacies.

Pees probably ends up being a casualty here, but the blame is on poor tackling and dumb football. We need to cut ties with players like Upshaw, Webb, Jernigan, Babin, etc. and build to keep a core that can learn to play as a unit.

And yeah, the O did disappear for a spell in the second half. But they did a GREAT job in this game considering whatthey had to work with.

An ILB needs to be able to cover a TE, no matter who is playing for.  lol

I think thats the most idiotic comment ive seen in a while... Webb and upshaw have been having a hell of a season just let go our only edge setter right... lol... jernigan is a young play with dominating potential just get rid of him right... lol... jason babin has a chance to really get after the quarterback the only other play on our team that can is elvis just get rid of him right... lol... will hill, jimmy smith, brandon williams, lawrence guy, albert mcclellan, cj mosley(besides today), kyle arrington terrible player right?

All I'm saying is if the defense didn't allow 500 yards every game we could seriously be 4-1. If the offense did the exact same and the defense did any better I think your tune would change on trestman. I say fix the defense before you go calling for the mans head. If the defense gets fixed and he blows it ok, but I think your being a tad hasty on him.

I don't think so though. Don't get hung up on the points we scored. Trestman knew the defense was struggling. You have to call a smart play on third and two in the fourth quarter when you are only up by 5. I can't give him a break when I screamed about this the last two times he did it in the fourth quarter in close games that we ended up losing. You have to keep drives alive in games like these. This is just my opinion and I am very upset about it right now.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but there's this thing called a salary cap that makes it nearly impossible to craft the "perfect" team.  There are always going to be holes, and especially so with the amount of dead money we have on our cap right now.  There's still a bad product on the field, but Ozzie has more than earned the benefit of the doubt.  Would you rather have someone like Ryan Grigson at the helm?  He's trying the whole idea of getting flash players and look how that's working out for him.

Unfortunately, there is a salary cap.

However there is also utter mismanagement pretending to work within it.

No need to itemize it ALL

Bisciotti knows, we'll see how tolerant he is after this years debacle.

Last year, without Patriots now illegal playcall. We could've been on SB#3.

Man, they had at least a pass rush. Secondary was a bit worse but that DL was insane good. I really believe that its better to have a good pass rush than a good secondary.

Time for Bisciotti to clean house .

Pees and Trestman gotta go . Plain and simple .

Pees in particular . Trestman has some horrid play calls at critical times

so you guys just dont watch lawrence guy... hahaha the dude is clearly our second best lineman this year and really hope he keeps this starting job... dude is one hell of a run stuffer

I watched lawrence guy take a stupid penalty that took a Webb interception off the board, otherwise I would have included him.  He has put together a couple solid games this year.

The Ravens had interest in veteran cornerbacks other than Kyle Arrington. Cornerbacks that came to mind were Cary Williams, Tramon Williams,Perrish Cox, and  Tarell Brown.. It's not The Ravens fault that those players decided to pick another  team and accept more money.

The Ravens overall just drafted Tray Walker in the fourth round, signed Kyle Arrington and had hope that Webb could stay healthy like he did in 2013. I also have to believe they had some faith that Rashaan Melvin would take another step in positive direction as well and he actually seem like he was because he was constantly getting positive remarks in training camp.

that whole issue with haloti really just through a wrench in our offseason didnt it?

No one is infallible.  It would be incredibly short-sighted and foolish to can Ozzie after one bad year after being a consistent contender since 2008.  Bad years happen.  Get over it.

Ray Rice/Pitta dead money killed our offseason, priced us out of all the good CB's we wanted

$21,312,197 in dead money, close to $20 million from 3 players - Ray Rice ($9.5 million), Haloti Ngata ($7.5 million), Jacoby Jones ($2.625 million) The rest are pocket change.

Am not sure but I think Pitta's salary does not go against the cap if he is on PUP list.

As crazy as this sounds, looking at the last wildcard spot...a 8-8 team can grab one. It's not completely over.

But I'm guessing it probably won't be an 8-8 team that lost to Oakland and the Browns (one or both of whom might also be in the hunt).

It's not over mathematically because it's still theoretically possible for them to go on a 10 game tear, but we all know what the likelihood of that is.

I watched a player who though he would only take one step after the ball was thrown who already had his mind made up to rattle the quarterback... but i mean there are different persepectives to it... but if the flag is not thrown your right that was the play that if that int holds and we score on that drive we win this game there wouldnt have been a second half to watch... but i mean its not as egregious as timmy's in week two when he took about 5 steps

So my view of the 2015 ravens including today... daryl smith i think is wearing down and is losing his athleticism giving ground to running backs giving himself terrible tackling angles... cj was i think a little outmatched today wont hold it against him... will just forgot how to play today i wont hold it against him... kendrick has been the worst player on this defense as far as im concerned through the first 5 weeks but i mean so was stew last year... and ever since the middle of last year he has been one of the best safeties in football... jimmy just had 2 bad games with bad playcalling... lardarius webb has really stepped up this year but you guys still hate him... i like will davis but i loved rashaan after the jacksonville game last year now look at him... Brandon and marshall get mvp for there respective sides of the ball... marc has actually found a way to make joe look worse than last season... justin and the ground game has gotten it together... true football fans that know what is going on will know why marlon is in the slot and in the game so often... it because he is one of the best blocking wide recievers in the game... hes not in the game all the time but when he does he blocks and does a good job at the 3 or 4 routes that is called for him joe just doesnt look to him all the time... like joe normally does will not go through a progression will stare down one reciever and will through it no matter what the coverage is... can be stone like in the pocket and wont move his feet causing him to feel pressure and be scared the rest of the way in the game... tucker coulda really helped us if he didnt miss a field goal... this browns team actually is not a bad football team and mccown is a pretty good qb if he is protected and thats the key... i think though that this will be a season when the teams we play just outmatch us to be honest i say its a 6-10 season weve been spoiled for too long... i think we can deal with one off season

Agree with almost all of this.

Guess another nightmare scenario: Joes nearly $30million next year.

He needs to restructure or be public enemy #1

Firstly, McCown is not a bad QB. He lead the Bears two years ago and far outplayed Cutler, until the playoffs when Trestman put an injury healed Cutler back in.  Big Mistake.  I was worried about McCown  He's smart.  He knows where the defensive holes are and he found them to the tune of 21 second half points and an overtime where they put 3 up.  We were DEFENSELESS.  Did you watch that embarrassment?

So when you call for silencing Raven fans that can't stand this type of effort, just keep in mind what you're really asking.

The team was borderline good even with all players healthy and they already didn't have a lot of depth, as seen in preseason. Pees had nothing to do with the fluke TD at the goal line or injuries or the lack of quality depth. Injuries used to present opportunities for future starters but even they are getting injured and replaced by those further down the depth chart.

Ozzie is the one that gave him that contract. Him and all the others. Pitta and Webb and Jimmy.

I didn't say I thought that it was a penalty, because I really didn't.  I DID say it was a stupid penalty because it was.  In today's NFL you will get called for following through on QB who has released the ball.  I also thought the hands to the face call against Babin was a poor call but when Jeff Tripplette and his terrible crew are out there you gotta work extra hard to avoid stuff like that
