Is Roddy White coming to the Ravens?

Sometimes, NFL insiders can get intelligence when a team is actually engaging with another team on possible moves. Other times analysts, who have nothing better to do other than make up stories based on what seems to make sense to them, will report that a given move might make sense.

As far as I know, we're only dealing in the latter ... I've not heard anything saying that it appears we're engaged in discussions with ATL about White. That doesn't mean it isn't happening, it just means that reports at this point appear to be speculation.

I think today's game will determine what our stance will be. If we go out and win and look solid in the pass game, we'll probably hold off. If we go off and lose, we may hold off as well, because why should we give up draft picks for a 1-4 team. But if we scrape by and win with a shabby performance from our WR group (and if we have the sense that SSS is going to be out for an extended period) we may be seeking other options. Whether that be White or someone else would remain to be seen.

Watching the local sports in Cleveland Ohio they think the Ravens have no WRs to go to and they think the Defense isn't what it use to be! LMAO! Justin Forsett will have a HUGE day but you gotta let Joe rip them a new one and then UNLEASH Forsett and Co.! They are waiting on Justin just let wait till the 2nd half! LETS GO!

Well ... in the defense of Cleveland's local sports coverage, they do have a point. Our WR corps is depleted badly and our defense has been very inconsistent and that's not traditional Ravens football. I'm sure they're just looking at their horrendous record against us in recent years and are saying that should be thrown out because we're not the same team now that amassed that record. Whether or not this Browns team is going to be able to exploit our weaknesses, that remains to be seen.

The entire football world knows we're going to want to go heavy on the run game. They are going to be stacked on defense to the max. They are statistically a bad run D, but even a bad run D can improve if the opponent is telling them - "we're running it now ... try to stop us".

We're going to have to mix things up or we may struggle on offense, no matter what their run D stats are. And if we have a game like the one we had in Oakland, where we generate zero pass rush and our secondary is lost and spinning in circles, even the lowly Browns will be able to have success.

Five things I'll watch for: Play calling and adjustments by Trestman/Flacco. What will be the strategy on offense and will Flacco check into better plays. 2.) Can the offense start fast? Can't wait until the end of the half or 3rd quarter to be productive. 3) Consistency of Aiken, o-line 4) Who else becomes a target for Flacco sans Gilmore, Smith Sr. ? 5) Defense can they be sound in Red zone, 3rd down , and 4th quarter

Looking for v Browns... Browns Run D is horrible.. Forsett getting off early and often. Setting up Flacco for Play action deep bombs to Givens, or TEs Williams,Boyle..

On Defense want to see more of the 4 man front looks pressure like last week v Steelers. Z.Smith,Jernigan,Dumervil,Babin,D.Smith pure pass rush front, on obvious pass situations or could be passing downs..

Plug in Davis, Williams on short yardage and running downs

Must create pressure upfront AGAIN
