[News] Who's Playing, Who's Not vs. Browns

61 posts in this topic

This would probably be the best game to start most of our young guys. We play Cleveland in our house so I say, plug a few no names in there and see what they can do. If nothing else, it's game experience for them and it gives SSS, Yanda and some of the older guys a chance to rest. We can't afford to lose against these guys but we have Joe, Forsett, Taliaferro, Aiken and of course Tucker to score points. We also have the 12th man going for us so be loud and proud Sunday!

He's the kid who trip over the chalk line and got "soft tissue" that turned into a ligament damage because he has week imune system and that takes longer to heal any injury. You know, the kid Ozzie did months of studying & research and selected him as his number one pick for 2015.and passed up on Landon Collins, Dorial Green-Beckham,and Damarious Randall

DGB has been average to WELL below average as a Titan, plus he's just not that good and he's crazy. Not a big loss. I haven't heard ANYTHING about Randall, and the Giants safeties are so bad it laughable. Edited by Cillmatic

We had extra days to get rest and prepare for this game. Let's get a decisive win against a banged up 1-3 team at our house!

With so many Browns out and them coming to M&T I would rather SSS suited up and only plays if we ABSOLUTELY need him to win. Despite evidence to the contrary Steve is human and we need him more than any one player save Joe.

Seems they were optimistic about Croc playing this week hopefully means he will be practicing this coming week and ready to go against the 49ers

It's time to open it up and running up the middle is holding this team back! The run should be used in the 2nd half after Joe has ripped them a new one! LETS GO!

Watching "A football Life: Jerry Rice" on NFL network right now really opened my eyes to the type of work ethic players should strive to have, and also really makes me appreciate a guy like Steve Smith playing for us and giving his all for this team.

Same ol' same with injuries. Will it ever end.

Nah, its football. Its very frustrating, although some guys bodies are conditioned/built to take more damage than others.

It's called a salary cap...along with greedy players...

That is true, we are #28 in the salary cap. Meaning we are a team that must have a lot of star players for our cap to be so limited, yet we are 1-4 smh. We have to stay positive though, get this win sunday!

In spite of a couple of pre-season fumbles Jackson looks like our best bet.  Fumbling is something that can be cured.

I thought the same thing and also thought he was still a good nickel CB for us, but I thought they cut him?

We're going to learn quite a bit about Aiken and Brown on Sunday. If these guys can't get it going against this secondary, they will never be more than a #3 WR in this league.

Aiken deserves the start, Brown doesn't. Waller should be starting instead of him. Eugene Monrow is a mediocre LT at best. The Ravens signed him because they had no other options. He got his head handed to him against Denver, before he was injured. Hurst has done no worse. Once again Perriman out. Another bust of a draft pick. While 36 year old Steve Smith would play with busted ribs, Perriman milks his "injury" for all it is worth.

Perriman out! Darn. Didn't see that comin'.   By the way, why is Arthur Brown backing himself up on the depth chart.  What happened to Orr?  I've heard nothing.

If they make a roster move for a returner, I sure hope it's Jeremy Ross rather than Asa Jackson. We've seen what Asa can do and he scares me. I'd like to see if we have anything in Ross.

Several of those on this blog have been very disrespectful of Perriman.....not sure why. Of those that demean him, how many have ever had a meaningful sports injury. Some just take longer then others......doesn't say he is faking.....

We should lay off him, or we will kill his will to do well here before he even plays.....this is not how Raven Nation should act toward one of our own....

Kill his will to do well? Are you actually serious? Is this Pee Wee Football, w/little boys playing? Maybe, just maybe, his big salary he's collecting will offset his getting his little feelings hurt? Get real. Here's some tissue for you and him to go dry the tears. Amazing.

You are SO right. I've seen that show and watching it tells you why Rice was the greatest receiver the league has seen. If only All our players had SSS's fire. When I played sports, I didn't even have to think about it. Giving Everything I had every second I was on the field was just a given. I never have, and never will, understand Any players who don't do the same, have that kind of fire, and keep themselves in Top condition Year round. That way, when their careers are over they'll Never have to wonder if they could have done a little more, left anything on the field, or been just a little bit better. They owe it to their teammates, the fans, and most of all, themselves.

I couldn't agree more. This man does not deserve all the trash that's been thrown his way. My goodness! He got injured and it's taking longer to heal than expected. That's it! No more complicated than that, yet people on here who don't even know the man feel that they have to disrespect him. I think it's shameful and below the conduct I expect from true Raven fans. Perriman is a Raven, and Still has the potential to be the #1 receiver this team has Never have. I wish people would just lighten up, give him whatever time he needs to heal All the way, then give him time to adjust to this league, and Then see what he brings to this team. I fear, because of what I've already seen on here, though, that a lot of people will expect him to be Julio Jones, A J Green, or Antonio Brown, the very First moment he steps on the field. Just give the guy a break and support him as a Baltimore Raven. Please!

I hope all this talk will only FUEL Breshard. I have a feeling that Perriman will prove everybody wrong. You people are stupid for calling a man a BUST when he has not played a darn game yet. I expect a lot more from our fan base. C'mon ppl!!

I know. It is ridiculous to think that a pro would allow cruel and petty fans who have no clue what a player might be dealing with and who behave in a completely classless way to affect their will to play. They have to know that a small, but vocal segment of the fan base relish being negative and obnoxious. It is part of being a pro to understand that and do their best to ignore it.

Of course, they are human beings, so it is a challenge...

Well, not everybody. There are still some who feel like this is just an unfortunate situation and that he'll ultimately find redemption.

I don't expect anything less from the fan base. As fan bases go, we're not as fickle and cruel as those in Philly and NY, but we're not void of those kinds of fans. All fan bases have that segment of people who, when things go well, they say nary a peep ... but when things go poorly, the shriek incessantly.

Couldn't have said it any better. I see your location is Cumberland. I played football for Douglass high school in Upper Marlboro. I remember we played you guys out there in 2007 I think, I was on JV at the time, but we lost... horribly smh lol.
