[News] Late For Work 10/9: Ravens Could Make Justin Tucker Richest NFL Kicker

I don't think the run game will be the key. I look for Cleveland to throw 8, maybe 9 guys in the box, stuff the run game, and pressure Flacco knowing Joe doesn't do well under duress. If they don't take this strategy, I have to question the Browns coaching. However, I feel that this is a great opportunity for our receivers, fortified by a burner, to eat up the Browns. The tight ends should have a great game and just one long pass from Flacco to Givens, whether it is caught or causes a PI, will force the Browns to come out of that heavy front. When that happens a combination of Forsett, Taliaferro and Allen along with Givens, Aiken and Brown will blow this game out. But we are going to have to be successful passing first before we can get Cleveland into a front that favors the run. If we do that, we could be looking at a blowout.

I totally Agree with you! They'll stack the box and blitz often if they've watched tape on us so far. It's time for Brown and someone else to step up in the receiving corps and Joe needs to have a little more poise in the pocket. With Monroe and Givens slated to start, that will help some.

Does anyone knows how Rice and Pitta contracts affect next year cap? Because they're part of the reason as to why we're always having cap troubles, we have too much dead money... I think we'll make Tucker the highest paid kicker, or at least the second highest, He earned that.

Rice has no impact on 2016 cap.

If Pitta's on the team in 2016, he will cost $7.2M against the cap. If he's released or retires before 6/1, he will count $6.6M against the cap.

Basically he costs at least $6.6M next year.
