it must have been frustrating to watch his reps decrease not because of mistakes he made or anything he did wrong but because of his place on the depth chart. Hey, all he needs to know are the names for the deep routes. Givens, you're on a team that will give you more chances to make plays than you'll know how to deal with.

I did some research on this guy. If used correctly, he can be our Jacoby Jones replacement. He has never had a QB that can feed him a real deep ball. So it will be interesting to see him play with a QB that can actually open up his potential.

Hey Camp, if you played any role in bringing Givens our way, kudos to you for looking out for the best interests of your team. Get healthy Camp, can't wait to see you next year. Optimistic that Givens is a great fit for the Ravens.

Campanero was a punt returner, but he was out of place as a kick returner. First of all, I don't think he is fast enough to be a legit kick returner. Second, he was very passive on the returns. He pretty much kneeled down in the end zone on every return that was playable. A young WR that gives us the possibility to stretch the field, and a legit kick returner for a 7th round pick in next years draft is a very positive deal.

Why did you have to mention Campanaro in the article?? Now all those Camp supporters have yet another opportunity to promote someone who clearly doesn't deserve it. Sorry, but I prefer my team's receivers to be made out of something a bit more durable than used Kleenex.

Speedster + Joe's arm should always give a feeling of excitement. Outside of Steve Smith manhandling his way up sidelines, we have been missing that big play excitement this year without Torey and the possibility of Perriman. Additionally, I must have missed something but when did Ford start sponsoring Ravens Jersey? That is a Ford patch on Given's jersey isn't it?

I'd rather see us bring up Butler. Give the man a real shot.

He looks good on highlights and if he can catch, then that could go a long way for us, not only throwing TD passes, but opening up the running lanes and easing up the blitz game. Also, his responses are funny I'm to add another fan favorite maybe. Glad someone mentioned Jacoby Jones, as opposed to Torrey Smith. That a skillset we are desperately lacking now.

I like his attitude about all this. I'm cautiously optimistic he can be a real difference maker on this team where, for some reason, it wasn't working for him in St Louis.

imagine what our ofense will be like with givens and peeriman stretching the filed!#1 and unstoppable

So far we haven't had a choice BUT to imagine when it comes to Perriman. SMH.

Go Get'em man,...welcome! If we win with some big plays from Givens, I vote him as a candidate for a game ball considering the fact he is being thrown into the mix so soon; in a divisional match nonetheless.

Gotta be pretty sweet to make your Ravens debut in Baltimore...in the black jersey! He's gonna be extra EXTRA pumped up!

You just can't send a WR LONG these days and throw into double coverage, didn't the pats game show them that! What happened to the plays like when Jacoby and Torrey were Ravens and the safety had to watch one or the other and got toasted! Seems like all that creativity is gone now because I'm sure everyone knows about the Ravens acquiring Givens and know they are gonna go up top with it! Roll outs, double moves, stop and go's and small Lil picks get them open not just sayin go and throwing it long against a CB under the WR and a safety over the top, that's how the pats did it and the season was over just like that!

I say let's curb our enthusiasm a bit about Givens. Since his debut in the NFL, his numbers were steadily declining season by season in almost every major category: games, starts, receptions, yards, YPC - even longest catch. All numbers seem to indicate he was declining in St. Louis - ws it because his own abilities and ceilings or his "supporting cast"? Who knows. But he sure doesn't look like the receiver who will turn around our deep passing game... Even if he had the right chemistry with Flacco - which he doesn't have. He will surely be an upgrade over our "deep threrats" so far this season... but let's be honest: that doesn't say a lot in itself...

The more I learn about Givens the better I like him. He's more than just a deep threat like Tory was. 3rd year guy with a future. With Flacco's arm he could be a nightmare all over the field.

I'll be interested to see how Givens handles this promotion. He will finally have a big armed QB to throw the ball to him.

Welcome !!!
