If Davis is playing after less than two weeks with the team, then whats going on with Babin?! Did he play Thursday night?

Babin was active Thursday night. I never saw him on the field. If he did play, he didn't do anything.

I'm sorry, But Why Is Webb The Automatic starter? He's not the same player he once was. He gives way too much cushion, and I think it's because he's lost confidence in himself a little, or he knows he's lost a step after all the injuries. Besides, his best season came playing a lot in the slot

To those inquiring about Babin, he played 7 snaps in the game and on two of the snaps in which he was in, two sacks were made, he was double teamed on both occasions I believe, now what that means going forward who knows, but let's just hope that when he is in plays continue to be made lol

he played at such a high level and with time he'll only get better. hope he's the piece we needed to finally clamp down on AJ Green

He was a great find by Ozzie who knows everything about every player it seems. Now if Givens (our new WR) can go in and have the same impact, then we have something.

From what I saw of Davis, he played a great game! He put himself in good position to defend passes. Really looked like he came to play (and run!). The whole defense played pretty good Thursday night. They kept everything in front of them, for the most part. It was also especially nice to see Webb looking like his old self again. I think him in the slot more going forward could be a good idea, and I'm sure we could still possibly see him at the Safety position in the future. This guy has always been one of those leader-types, he just usually has been in the shadow of other great leaders (lewis, reed, suggs, etc)

Sorry to slide off-topic, but yeah fantastic start for Will Davis! Sometimes you just need to get your second chance to be able to shine. ;)

I think I only saw him play zone that game. Not sure if he can play man on anyone outside as people seem to be suggesting.

we struggled in the first two weeks because we had kyle arrington at the 3rd corner spot. and Whenever the team had a chance to get the ball back on downs he would give up the pass for the first down and such the life out of the defense. I think will davis brings a much needed energy to our secondary.

I say he's a steal for what we gave up. Put it this way, what kind of CB talent would you get in the seventh round of the draft?

Will seemed to be in the right places when needed and made solid tackles. A huge improvement which should only get better with time. He may be a guy who helps pull the rest of the secondary to play better. Wouldn't that be nice. We have the talent...pull them together, Will.

Lets not get to far ahead of ourselves, he played a good game Thursday night against one of the best WRs in the league. I give credit, where credit is do. What I don't want to do is start calling him Davis Island. Lets see if he can do this on a more consistent basis. Lets see if this was just beginners luck. We did that to Rashad Melvin. Don't put pressure on these guys by comparing them to these superstars prematurely. Lets give him some time.

I will say this though Baltimore does take what seems like mediocre players and coaches and turn them into superstars, which is why we cant keep an OC or DC for that matter. Like I said the kid played well, but before we give him an Island lets wait a few games.

Davis is going to hopefully be the real deal, esp after he gets real comfortable with this Defense and his brothers on defense. The one thing i remember hearing about him that really makes him standout is not only his ability to play smart and in position, but that he finishes his plays. He has a knack for sniffing out the INT, or get really close to it...not just defend and maybe knock down passes. That is a good sign ans when you keep hearing about his ability to position himself, that to me is a good sign that he will get better and better. For him to do what he did against Pitt at home on his debut..

Will Davis did great against Steelers, hope to see more of him once he knows more of defensive schemes. Glad he is on our team. Hope he is enjoying his time in Baltimore.

He's the next Corey graham. He's a really good man corner an that's what we need for our defense. He needs to be resigned at the end of the year. I thought Arrington would play better then how's playing, I hope he improves.

I remember texting my friend that Will Davis was in the game and called on him to make a big play on that 3rd down break up that he almost picked off.

I saw a #39 flying around and he laid a hit on Brown... he will carve out a spot on this roster with play like that!
