[News] Official Update On Steve Smith Sr.'s Injury

I noticed when Camp and SSS went down...Aiken stepped up. And I see that Waller kid stepping up. Am I the only one that has noticed that every time they give him an opportunity he produces. I wonder what numbers he could put up if he actually got targeted. The new WR will not do any better. Don't you think Givens would have had some burn with the Rams if he was that good. I see him doing the PR/KR duties.

If either Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady had the receiving corps that Flacco has been reduced to now, they would win. Brady made a star out of Julian Edelman. Rodgers lost Jordy Nelson and he plays likes he never had him. Start earning your money, Joe.

Brady was far worse than Joe last year before Gronk got healthy. Neither he nor Rodgers has ever won without good receivers. Brady did not make a star out of Edleman. Edelman is quick, a great route runner, has great hands, and is very tough to bring down after the catch. Brady did not give him those skills. Kamar Aiken did play with Brady, however, and he had 0 catches. When have Brady or Rodgers ever won consistently with two undrafted players as their top 2 receivers, 2 rookie TEs, a struggling run game, horrible pass protection, and a defense that gets shredded in the 4th qtr? Since he's been in the league, Flacco has won more postseason games and put up better numbers in the postseason than both of them with a far worse receiving corps. In his career, Brady's stats are no better than Flacco's in the 6 or 7 years he's played without Moss or Gronk.

Roddy White is old and is being replaced by Leonard Hankerson because he can no longer produce at the same level he had.

I would love to see the Ravens give Charles James the opportunity to return kicks and punts.

I know Givens brings speed, but I know that after a good start in his rookie year (5 games with catches over 50 yds) he leveled out and was passed on the depth chart. There's a reason he was available.

Ozzie needs to go sign Hakeem Nicks, 27 yr old.. Who is better then both Aiken and Brown. You got Givens to replace Campanaro.. But Sr is down atleast this week with broken ribs. And who knows its week to week. Plus Perriman has no timetable..

We cant rely on a no.1,2 WR being Aiken and Brown.. And now if its Givens and Aiken still not good enough.

Sign Nicks to a vet minimum, or made a trade mid to late rnd pick for a Boldin, or pluck someone from one of these deep offensive teams like Green Bay or Cinci... Like Tate WR, or Jeff Janis WR GB..

But make a move Oz strengthen this weak WR Core.

Also activate Pitta week 6, dude wants to play.. Throw him in the slot. We need as many weapons as humanly possible if we are going to have any chance of a turn around

Perriman is a distant savior.  At least Givens has four years of experience and can perform multiple roles such as a prime go route player and returner. .

still think we should trade for roddy white for a 4th

Roddy White doesn't get open, isn't targeted and isn't making plays. We already have a bunch of those types of receivers.

Preach it.

There is literally nothing else that needs to be said. Good post.

I had no idea that Aiken was a Patriot.

Your posting this made me go "whatever happened to that guy?"

Apparantly, Hakeem Nicks hurt his knee fallling to the turf and was never the same afterwards. I still like the idea of signing him (he couldnt be any worse than who they have), but it makes me really concerned about Perriman.

no.

Kamar Aiken and Marlon Brown are not Randall Cobb and James Jones.

Sounds like you should drink less beer.

You're not the only one. I thought the same thing.  I wonder about the FO on cases like these and whether they feel its too risky to give the current depth chart try for a week or two.  That's why they kept them, right?  Peter King listed some very possible candidates, but nothing worth giving up a pick for except maybe Eddie Royal (more than Roberto Lockette and Andre Roberts) and he's another true #2 receiver like Givens who I doubt can rise to be a true #1.  I'd like to stand pat and see which of Brown, Waller and Aiken can rise up.  If that doesn't work then pull the trigger then.  The week 9 bye is coming.

I'd like to see what Waller can do. Aiken has been around the league for awhile now. Waller seems to be getting better. Aiken is Aiken. Brown is, well Brown.
