SSS goes and we trade for Chris who? The problem with this team is that everyone in skill positions are average, a journeymen, or just a plain old dinosaur (save for C.J.)

I feel bad for Triple S, hope gets well soon. We all know that Steve Smith was Joe Flacco's life line. With no solid #2 to move to Steve Smith spot makes me a bit uneasy, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up on this team. Every Baltimore Raven fan out there knows that we pride ourselves on adversity. Now we have to overcome it once again. I cant bad mouth Chris Givens because I don't know who he is, but I can bad mouth Marlon Brown. This kid has got to get it together or I will guarantee you this is one guy who will not be on the team next season. I like his height and has some ability to get open, but it doesn't matter if you are going to drop the pass. I expect Kamar Aiken to be a huge part of this offense now that we've lost two receivers to injury. Marlon Brown number will be called as well, but we might want to look for that Wes Welker or somebody to help Joe out. Things just got a little more interesting in Baltimore, lets see how it all plays out. I feel bad for us right now, but we might be able to fight through this and still be there in the end, but Its going to take a lot of heart and lot of fight from everybody. Lets Go Ravens, and keep your head up.

So has anyone come up with a good explanation as for why there wasn't a flag on that play? The defensive player hit helmet first with enough force to break bones and Steve was already on his way out of bounds. That would be 1) late hit; 2) leading with the crown of the helmet; and possibly even 3) defenseless receiver. Considering all the ticky-tacky, senseless flags we have seen in the first three weeks of this season, this was one that should have been thrown for safety's sake. I hope the FO at least submits tape for review.

Here would be the explanation...1st it wasnt a late hit he wasnt out of bounds he stayed in bounds which would have saved him. 2. leading with the crown is not a valid argument  when the receiver has become a ball carrier outside the tackles which leads to 3 he is not defenseless  he established posession and became a ball carrier and therefore is not awarded defenseless status.

No wonder Mitchell's on hi hit list!

Mitchell wasn't involved in the tackle that caused all this. What Smith was refering to was a different play.

Your right Bio I remember during the game SSS got tackled by Mitchell next to the side line and Mitchell just laid on him for more than a few seconds as SSS was trying to get up off the turf. I think between that and the Jawing back and forth us fans cant hear unless a player is mic'ed up could have contributed to SSS feelings for his ex-team mate Mitchell..... Just gotta love SSS heart and passion for the game I wish it would rubb off on some of the other players on the Ravens roster.

Really feel bad for Steve. Tough way to spend his last season. Rest up. We say Next Man Up all the time, not sure it applies to losing Steve.

Seem to me that Perriman is a bust, we are putting to many marbles in one bag for a guy that has not played one second in an NFL regular season game, and since he had that scope thing will he be back this season at all, can anyone answer that $65,000.00 question???

I hear all over this site, you're not a real Raven's fan or you're to hard on Flacco, or give them a chance and stuff like that, but when you ask a question about Perriman no one seem to know anything, just give us the truth and be over with it.

The scope has nothing to do with whether or not he'll be back. All that is is a tiny camera that they insert into his knee to get a better look at his injury. He has a sprained PCL that is taking an unusual amount of time to heal, so all anyone can do is wait. It's not unheard of for a sprain to take a long time to heal. Keenan Allen sprained his PCL in his last year in college, in October. By the next April, he was still not 100%, and it showed in his 40 time. It took him more than 6 months to fully recover, but the good news is that he is now 100%, and he has been a productive NFL player. Calling Perriman a bust is ridiculous. Anyone can get injured, and there is nothing to suggest that his injury is career threatening. It's just taking forever to heal, but when it does, he should be good to go.

At least Givens has slightly longer than usual to learn the playbook. Perhaps he can be activated the next week like Will Davis.

Doctors predict Perriman will be ready by the 1st week in November and that he will score 3 touchdowns in his first game. They also stated that his scope shows he has a long life ahead. (Sarcasm). Give it a break fans. When Perriman heals he'll be cycled in as appropriate. The guff I hear on this site about 'secrets' about the man's knee are absurd.

I'm kind of happy about this situation Joe Flacco is in right now. True wide receivers needs to gain more seperation, but Joe needs to throw the ball better period. This has been evident since last year with Torrey Smith. Torrey didn't have the catches, but the penalty yardage racked up from Joe Flacco under throwing him and having to go back and fight for the ball every game was ridiculous. It would be nice to see Joe Flacco throw passes to receivers in stride. Unless I play with him on Madden 16 he seems incapable of doing that... Yeah I took it there! Screw these touch passes bullet the pass to receivers get the ball there instead of having each throw always be contested. I had a huge problem with the Darren Waller pass last game. Darren Waller had to fight his way to the inside to catch the pass. Joe needs to throw the ball high to play to the strengths of his receivers Joe's passing game needs work and he can't spend all his time throwing to one receiver. He went from Steve Smith to Kamar Aiken. I want to see the best tightend in the draft can do with various other weapons.

As much as I love Ozzie, he cannot draft or build a receiving corps that gives Joe a chance. Brady or Rodgers couldn't win with the receivers Joe has. We bet the farm on a 36 yr old and a rookie who hasn't seen the field. Teams now can just stuff the run. We just wont pick up any free agents, and there were some good ones available for cheap. Its perplexing for sure. Why not pick up Wes Welker til SSS gets back?. He is still reliable.
