Feel bad for Camp, poor guy goes all out, does good nearly every time he touches the ball but gets hurt often. Wishing him the best. Bummer on SSS, hope he is able to bounce back. As for the HIPAA laws. If I had known there was such a law against reporting specifics of injuries, I would have not asked for more info on Perriman. Now I know. Thanks for info, just wished I knew about this law weeks ago.

So we lose our top, most reliable wr, our first Rd draft pick and our stud slot wr and the only thing we do to replace that production is trade for Chris givens? At least they could have traded for Tavon Austin. Bring him home. I'm really hoping another move is being worked for a wr. Alshon Jeffrey come to Bmore man!

This is what's being reported on Rotoworld

Steve Smith Sr. - WR - Ravens

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Steve Smith's injury is non-surgical and he "will play sooner than later."

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Smith's "back" injury is actually a case of broken ribs. Either way, Smith was called week-to-week by the Ravens and appears to have an outside shot at playing Week 5 against the Browns. Baltimore may have dodged a bullet, but their receiver corps is still a mess.

I have had fractured ribs twice. Same recovery both times. Maximum pain at the 7 - 10 day point. 6 - 8 weeks of gradually disappearing pain.

Four broken ribs and the guy spent the rest of the game on the treadmill anyway, trying to get back on the field. IV last week in the middle of the game and still continues to play. I wish we had other players who want it so bad.

hopefully steve's back sooner than later, i have some faith in aiken and brown & givens in for camp should help with depth but it would be amazing if we traded for alshon jeffery, which is highly unlikey. I believe in my team and know we'll get through this! Ravens Nation!!

Smith will be out 6-8 weeks with broken ribs. They have to heal completely or they will break again very easily. He could also suffer a punctured lung if they aren't completely healed. Campanaro is done. Givens is a start but adding Reggie Wayne and Wes Welker would be great. I'd like to get SF to trade us so we could get back Torrey and/or Anquan. they don't need them, their team ius in total rebuild mode.

Well, I guess we're gonna find out if Brown, Aiken and Waller are contenders or pretenders.....probably gonna give Williams and Boyle some extra chances too.

Steve Smith Sr., Campanaro and Perriman. How are we going to manage with journey men as our 1st and 2nd WR options?? The only way to do that would be to put 2 of Williams, Boyle and Gillmore on every offensive play we run from this point forward! That can't be too bad right? Who knows whether we are running or passing at that point?

those are some fishy trainers and sss has ridiculous pain management skills. they were on the field for some thirty minutes and they thought all they needed to do was stretch it out. you can't stretch out four broken bones

So has anyone come up with a good explanation as for why there wasn't a flag on that play? The defensive player hit helmet first with enough force to break bones and Steve was already on his way out of bounds. That would be 1) late hit; 2) leading with the crown of the helmet; and possibly even 3) defenseless receiver. Considering all the ticky-tacky, senseless flags we have seen in the first three weeks of this season, this was one that should have been thrown for safety's sake. I hope the FO at least submits tape for review.

Man, more bad news. On the bright side, the last sentence in this article at least made me giggle a little :-)

And yes, there IS a Santa Clause!
