[News] Ravens Secondary Snaps Antonio Brown's Streak

22 posts in this topic

Didn't know anywhere else to mention this, but seeing Ben on the sidelines coaching up and cheering his guys on after having his knee shredded a week ago made me think, where the heck is Suggs?

When Ray tore his triceps he was still on the sidelines for the team. I distinctly remember him getting amped in San Diego after the "hey diddle diddle ray rice up the middle" 4th and 29 game and Tucker's game winner.

It remains to be seen whether Suggs will make appearances on the sidelines. The man just had surgery less than 2 weeks ago. I think we should let him recover from that before we pass judgement on his dedication to his role as cheerleader.

I do hope he eventually can join the team on the sidelines. I have to think he's in a cast and is really in no shape to be roaming the sidelines.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Ravens secondary but these are all "FACTS" the Secondary had the Ravens in a position to win it all banged up against the pats and the Ravens threw it all away! Held peyton manning under 20pts and they are getting better!

I remember hearing that the Steelers had a rule that no crutches were allowed on the sideline maybe that is why Suggs isn't on the sidelines. Just a guess.

If Ben had played Thursday night, then yes, I'd agree our secondary accomplished a major goal and we would have a lot to build on. But as it stands no we accomplished little. We should shut down anybodies receivers with the backup QB playing especially when said backup only had a week to prepare. We couldn't stop the steelers run game consistently and if there weren't 2 missed FG's and Tomlin's decision to give Vick the ball instead of running it at the end of the game a different result would've occurred. Luck is a huge part of this game and we got some Thursday night hopefully we get luckier b/c I don't really see us getting much better, considering recent injuries....

Surely, you jest... how can you possibly compare? Just picture this... Sizzle on the sidelines, on crutches... and somebody gets pushed out of bounds, and into Suggs... who do you think they will fire? You?

The secondary looked much better. But I think Vick helped break that streak as well. LOL.

We better pick up 2 more veteran receivers. I'm thinking Wayne and Welker. I like Waller and Aiken but Brown is fizzling out and Perriman may well be a bust.

Ab glaring problem no one is mentioning is Flacco. He better stop turning the ball over or the Ravens will be lucky to finish 8-8. He is making 1-2 unforced errors a game and putting us behind the 8 ball every time.

I hope we play a lot of teams with weak offensive lines and defensive front sevens like the Steelers. To lose to them would have been a justifiable end to the season. They won't even finish 8-8 this year.

We should get to 3-3 with SF and Cleveland coming up and then need to go 7-3 at least the rest of the way out. If we can't do that then we don't deserve to even be in the playoffs.

Yeah but you could say that about any player with literally any injury who chooses to be there for the team.

If you're gonna be terrified about all the random 'what ifs' in life then maybe you're one of the few Ravens fans left that actually support Dean Pees' lapses in playcalling where he curls up in a ball and tells everyone to play 10 yards off.

Yeah... you COULD say that about any injured player... not all of them are on crutches.

There's a vast difference between "terrified" and common sense. And... how did Dean Pees get into this conversation? LOL

You must have never played sports before. Ben and Ray could walk around, with a torn achilles you can barely stand or walk and you're basically bedridden because of the swelling. He can't even rehab until 6 months after surgery, and at his age and the mileage he has on his body it might be longer than that.

Terrell first and foremost is a true dyed-in-the-wool Raven, From his national backing of Flacco, in dark days for Joe, to his legal whacking of Brady (only to be unjustly flagged), his total leadership, and on and on........You got it wrong dude, Terrell represents Baltimore and the Ravens very well. Terrell is the MAN!

One above average game and Mink writes like we were the top dogs in the league. PLEASE STOP BEING NAIVE WISHFUL THINKER if you are a journalist and write about things like they are.

Nobody seems to be talking about Will Hill, but he has played exceptionally well this season. always near the ball and a violent tackler.

This! I had surgery for a ruptured Achilles and the last thing I was told to do by my doctor weeks after, was to move around. I was in my bed, sofa, recliner for a month after. Suggs didnt need to be nowhere near that sideline on Thurs.

Does Ryan Mink actually think if Ben was playing that streak would've been broken? Mike Vick is a back up QB for a reason.

Regardless of the fact that Vick is a backup, he threw a perfect pass that Brown dropped in the endzone. Brown contributed to his own streak being stopped with that drop.

Just like Vick contributed to it with 3 other passes including the overthrown ball on the 4th and 1. If Big Ben was playing Antonio Brown would've put up AJ Green numbers. Did you see how many times he was opened that game? Stoping the streak was like beating the Patriots by a field goal without Tom Brady.
