[News] Ravens Trade For WR Chris Givens, Send Michael Campanaro To Injured Reserve

Note to Ravens: Make a BIGGER trade. with SSS hurt for who knows how long ...this is not good.

Depends on the record. I'd were 1-5 in two weeks there's no reason to waste picks on a rental during a lost season.

I think this has to create a situation where Waller is on the field more often. He's super raw, but I don't think he needs to make major adjustments to become much more productive.

One small change can make a world of difference for him. If he learns to read the ball and stop his deep route just a split second earlier, he'll get in better position to go for the jump ball - which he should win more often than not. He seems to continue the route just a little too long and then his defender gets between him and the ball and he can't get back to it.

No matter how you slice it, we are going to need multiple WRs to elevate their game if we want to have a chance.

This team should not make any moves to get some big name WR in here out of desperation. The best thing we can do is move forward with the guys that we have now. I still think that Daniel Brown is a good option.

Feel so bad for Camp. He is truly a playmaker with great skills. Such a shame that his body gets injured so frequently. Camp has been outstanding with the opportunities he has been given. Good luck Camp. My heart goes out to you.

Man at some point I'd like to see a tight bunch formation w Crockett, Pitta, Boyle, and Williams. Can't tell me we couldn't run and pass out of that.

Pitta?

WOW, in June the Ravens looked like this #1 Perriman, #2 Steve S. Sr. #3 Brown or Campi, kick returner Campi.

This up-coming Game it looks like... #1 Aiken, #2 Brown #3 Givens or Waller. Givens or Webb returner. looks like They will bring up either Ross and Butler, probably Ross if he has been practicing kick returns.

Why are you guys saying Steve has broken bones in his back??!?!?

Apparently because he does ... 4 broken ribs.

Umm bro, 4 broken ribs sounds a lot better than a broken back. That was my initial question.

What problem does making a bigger trade solve?

Giving fans a false hope that a 1-3 team that hasn't played well yet this season is all of the sudden going to turn into a SB contender?

This team has talent....its young talent, but talent nonetheless. The up coming schedule has 6 games with 5 teams with losing records. If they can get through 4 games and get Sr. back the whole perspective changes. With Givens, Sr., Aiken, Waller, Brown and Ross this team can be dangerous. The speed improves with Givens and Ross. Waller is improving, very young but lots of talent.

Hats off to Campanaro, he gave his best. Every time he has touched the ball, he has been productive. Guess his undersized body just can't take the punishment.

The worst thing this team can do right now is sign a bunch of free agent WR's to make up for this loss. Get Daniel Brown in here!!! I swear I they don't then they don't know how to build a offense. Tom Brady was a 4th string QB before he had a opportunity to show what he could do. Not saying Daniel Brown is Tom Brady, but the same rules apply. I still believe that D.Brown can help this offense. The guy is 6-foot-5 220lbs.

I thought the same thing, he is very productive. But he did take some big hits on those kick returns and slot routes. But regardless, nothing he can do now being out for the rest of the season smh.

They have played well this season, they have never been blown out. They could have won every game they have played.

Sorry to hear about Campanaro's injury. IR means the season is over but hope he recovers soon. He did good!

This is why Ozzie shouldn't be drafting wide receivers..

Let Ozzie draft the lineman and linebackers because he's good at that, but don't let him draft anyone else- let DaCosta do that- he can't do any worse than Oz - Matt Elam who? Come on man!

No, they haven't. Just because you aren't getting blown out doesn't mean you're playing well. There hasn't been one game played this season where any reasonable person can say "yes, I think the Ravens played well today". There are aspects of the team that have played well at times, and there are aspects that have been terrible at times, and at no point have the well aspects met each other at the same time.

They could have won every game they played, just like they could have very easily lost every game they played. Much, much, much, much closer to being 0-4 than we are to being 4-0 in every possible aspect.

So the guy who learned basically everything on how to evaluate players from Ozzie is somehow going to draft differently than Ozzie?

I have no idea where you guys come up with this stuff...

Well, now the report is "Smith had suffered four broken bones in his back or ribs." ... so we're in mystery mode, per usual.

No surgery ... at least not as of now. Maybe if he doesn't get better in 4 weeks or so, we'll take a closer look.
