Hue deserves his shot. He's had tons of success with his offenses, even as an interim HC in Oakland. Hope he gets a HC gig

It would be nice to get Hue Jackson out of the division

Agreed. Get him out of here. We need him to leave. Hopefully Lewis loses again & the owner decides it's time for a shakeup and fires Lewis, who then returns to the Ravens to be our DC once again.

Well, the Colts had a short run at the top of the division. With Grigson around, it won't happen again for awhile.

They were idiots to keep him. He has wasted drafts and draft picks. They way he treated Chuck is terrible

Here's an update. Hue will be a busy man this weekend, Wild Card game on Saturday Night followed by interviewing with three teams on Sunday. The Browns, Dolphins and 49ers will all interview Hue in Cincinnati on Sunday. If he goes to Cleveland(which I think he is smarter than that) he remains in the division. If he goes to Miami, we'll see him next year and he goes to SF we won't see him for a while. Though if that's his three choices, he should probably stick to calling the plays for the Bengals for another year.

The question now becomes, does Drew Brees stay?

Also it seems the Eagles are moving quick on Adam Gase, they have already brought him back for a second interview.

Yeah, I think Eagles are making a huge mistake here but time will tell, I guess.

So based how the season is through the first seven weeks, who do you think will be fired at the end of the year?

Jim Tomsula and Lovie Smith

I got this one right. Wish I said Ravens DC.

Don't like that one for Tampa. They were a terrible team when Lovie took over and showed some promise this year with Winston and the receivers. Defense wasn't great this year but I think Lovie needed more time to get them right. They went from 2 wins a year ago to 6.

First one was obvious, but just like the Colts re-signing Chuck another late night shocker to get you right on both. Hmmm... I wonder what prompted them all of a sudden to fire him?

Bucs making a run at Tom Coughlin?

Not sure if it's gonna be Coughlin but they must have lined up coach they wanted. Maybe they're getting Gruden back for Winston?

Nope not Gruden. ESPN gave him that nice contract extension and he's happy in the booth on MNF. That's why I said Coughlin because he is the only big name that has been fired that is worth going after. Sean Payton is staying in NO so they aren't trading for him.

This is the firing that throws everything a loop when we thought we knew everything. By the way speaking of Gruden, the Bucs will now be on their fifth head coach since firing him in 2009.

Maybe a surprise college coach they lined up out of nowhere?

Yeah, I keep forgetting Gruden is locked on TV.

Chip Kelly then. College coach for college QB.

Never good when a team goes through head coaches like that

Tell Cleveland that lol. Tampa is catching up to Cleveland at this rate.

I may be in the minority but I think this is a good move by the Bucs in the long run, Lovie seems like the kinda coach that shoved his scheme down the teams throat getting rid of his best player (revis) and signing Horrible free agents and then cutting a year later, not to mention bringing a bunch of sub par players in from Chicago that were part of the reason he got fired there.

A good friend of mine is a Bucs fan. When the news broke out, he was pretty happy to say the least. He wanted him gone after they choked the game away against WSH. However, as they made a small run for a Wild Card spot, he believed Lovie saved his job and then came the collapse. He just felt that he kept seeing the same two kinds of mistakes: coaching and overall defense (where have we heard that before).

Yep, now he's gone lol

Honestly, Jim Caldwell was gifted a great team in Indy when Dungy retired. I don't think he's that great of a coach. Definitely didn't work here as an offensive play caller ( he was merely calling plays out of cam cameron's playbook)

I love this response from GM Jason Litch about their impatience.

"After 8 wins in 2 seasons, we were patient enough"

Both Cleveland and Tampa are run by idiots who don't understand it takes time to build a team.

Jed York + Trent Balakke + Chip Kelly = Future Dumpster Fire?

The 49ers have reached out to former Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly about their head coaching vacancy.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/01/07/report-chip-kelly-met-with-49ers-about-head-coaching-job/

This might not mean nothing but a league source tells ESPN(Gee, this wouldn't be Gruden's agent trying to drum up interest would it?) that Jon Gruden is interested in the Eagles head coach vacancy.

Rumor that the 49ers wanted to interview David Shaw but he turned them down. Wonder why

http://www.mercurynews.com/49ers/ci_29355141/source-stanfords-shaw-wont-interview-49ers

Also going to guess Shaw gets an extension worked out to stay at Stanford judging from this article.

He's smart enough to not go anywhere near that mess. Shaw is deserving of a NFL Head Coaching gig but he should stay at Stanford until the right opportunity comes, possibily waiting for the Rams and Chargers to move to LA so he can stay in the Bay Area?

This is an interesting stat on the coaching carousel from Adam Schefter.

For fourth straight year, NFL now has 7 HC openings. There were 7 after 2012 season, 2013 season, 2014 season and now, 7 after 2015 season.
