2015-2016 Coaching Carousel

I don't know that it will be an in-season firing, but you have to think that Pagano is a dead-man walking.

I think their (psychotic) ownership will hold to a Super Bowl or bust mentality and, given the way this team is playing, that seems like a massive long shot.

If they win that stink bomb of a division (which is still an if), they will get a nice draw, facing an anemic AFC wildcard entry at home. If they make it pass that (which is no guarantee), they are almost certain to get boot stomped - either yet again in NE or at Mile High.

The question will then be, whether or not there is another team in need of an HC that will view Pagano as a victim of his dysfunctional organization and offer him another chance. If not, then he enters the DC job hunt (which of course will be intriguing ...)

A bit early if you ask me

I was hoping they would have done it in the offseason. Whiz would have made a much better OC replacement then Trestman.

I'm just surprised they fired him this early too. They should fire the GM as well and clean house.

Yeah I mean they just drafted Mariota, you would think that they would give Whiz some time to develop him and see how that comes along. You don't want to change everything around a young QB like that.

LOL at Matt Leinart. He tweeted out this following the Titans firing of Whisenhunt.

"Titans Coach fired. Marcus Mariota has a chance!"

I laugh because Kurt Warner showed a good QB can be successful in his system and Leinart sucked in his system. So Leinart really has no room to talk.

LMAO - just heard this stat:

Whisenhunt's record: 1-20 in games he had less than 8 months to prepare for.

Won two season openers and one other game in season and a half.

Indy just whacked OC Pep Hamilton.

I can't imagine this was done by Pagano. Probably not even the GM. It is likely The Spawn of Satan will be slashing this team to pieces if the slide continues.

Now former Browns HC and Colts assistant Head Coach Rob Chudzinski was named the new OC.

Chudzinski might do well with them. The Browns actually had a decent offense when he was around.

Yeah, he shouldn't be casting stones.

He's one of the all-time busts. Held out his rookie deal, missing a couple weeks of training camp, stank, got benched, never did anything in the league, etc... and the whole time you'd be more likely to find him in a bar than in the film room. Just a total jerk.

While we can all laugh at Leinart a the desparate Twitter trolling, the Titans are a hapless organization.

So Jim Caldwell and Chuck Pagano took Cris Carter's advice on having a fall guy lol. Pep Hamilton was Chuck's fall guy and the entire OL coaching staff was Caldwell's fall guys.

Does Chuck get fired after the Colts lose to the Broncos on Sunday?

Well.................... As Adam Schefter put it this is indeed a Insane day in Detroit. The Lions have fired Team President Tom Lewand & GM Martin Mayhew.

Jim Caldwell has got to be next come Monday, start the house cleaning. Also reading that Mayhew was Matt Millen's right hand man, I can see why he failed as a GM.

Some interesting news coming out of New Orleans. Ian Rapport reports that if Sean Payton wanted to explore his options and leave New Orleans they would let him.

It's also interesting to note that Payton has a out clause if ownership would change from Tom Benson.

HUGE NEWS! Jim Irsay is going big name hunting within the college ranks. He wants to bring Nick Saban back to the NFL and hire him as the new Colts Head Coach in 2016.

Irsay has also said he will go as far as firing GM Ryan Grigson to give Saban full control if he wants it.

I hope Ozzie will go after Pagano for the DC job; we really need his elite defensive mind back in B-more....

Cue threads from people asking the Ravens to replace Pees with Rob Ryan.

More like adding more fuel to the Pees thread lol. After Miami made changes everyone here was like, why aren't we doing that lol. Now that chatter will be back with Rob Ryan being fired.

Sean Payton just came out and said he hasn't been fired.

Jim Caldwell came out and said there would be no coaching changes and then hours later the offensive coaching staff was let go.

Welp, called it. There is a thread for it now in the RT subforum.
