Camp sent to IR. Season is over for him! Shame.

@Ravens: #Ravens have traded a conditional draft pick for WR Chris Givens. WR Michael Campanaro (back) sent to injured reserve.

For rest of the season for Camp?  Wow.

It's interesting that Givens is also a Wake Forest player although he was a 4th rd draft pick.  Ozzie has been trade crazy lately and must be desperate to save this season.  Givens is not my first choice to "save" this team, but he's 6', 2013 with 4.41 40 speed.

Make you wonder if Smith Sr. or Campanaro is done for the year?

well there is your speed guy.

not much of a route runner though and questionable hands but then again he played with bums @ QB with the rams lol.

Another +6' guy.   Waller might have to be a ST blocking guy exclusively.   Givens might get both Camp's and Wallers snaps.

Wow, it is such a shame that he is injury prone, because that young man is quick and has great hands. If he could stay healthy, he could be something special.

Lol I would have preferred a deep threat WR.. but it's was only a 7th Rd from 2017

I think it's safe to say he will never be healthy

He has to do something drastic.  Crockett made himself into something else.   Camp can bulk himself into a Welker/Edelman.  But i have a good feeling we will draft then decide.   If we find someone in the draft as a slot guy, Camp is done.

Far as Givens,  his role in the Rams was diminished b/c of Tavon.   I'm hoping Givens has something in his bag for us.   We acquired a lot of players lately and none of them has really panned out.

What you can guys tell me about Givens ? Does he have some returning skills ? He looks like a speed WR with questionable hands and route running. Is he playing the slot ? Looks like Trestman wants to stretch the defense we didnt have any speedster in last game so we had to throw deep out and deep crossing routes to Aiken. Marlon had some drops as well... Ravens needed help at skill positions.

Why not use the good ol' I-Formation or even unbalanced line with Gilmore and Boyle and run the ball A LOT ?

Givens is basically a slower Jacoby Jones.   ST runner with deep threat ability.   He probably can catch better than Jacoby though.

Well its a pretty important NEED at the moment and consideration what the Ravens gave in return I'd say its a pretty good trade so far.

Givens hasn't been productive since his second season in 2013, but he showed a lot of promise in 2012 and 2013. Let's see if a change in scenery helps him out. He has returned kicks, so he's an option there, but he hasn't done it in a few years.

I like Givens as a deep threat. We could use the speed

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter

Ravens just traded with the Rams to acquire receiver Chris Givens, per source.

Not sure what to make of it.   Givens has speed and ST ability.

Its probably too early for his participation in the Browns game.  Got to admit, Oz is attempting to fix the problem rather than being stale.

Yeah, that's the big plus here. We actually have some speed now.

With 8 days until the next game, be should be playing

Also looks like a 12 game rental since he is a free agent next year.

With Camp on IR and SSS banged up, we have no one to return kicks/punts. With 8 days before we play again, I'm pretty sure he'll play vs Clev.

At what point do we say goodbye to Camp?

Hopefully, never.  Camp pours his guts out there.   He is just injury infected right now.  That TD leap is a memory and we should appreciate his swift cut to get there.  I think Waller is in the time out corner.

Was just looking up some stats on him. NFL.com says in his four seasons with the Rams, he has caught 88 passes for for 1,433 yards and four TDs. So far in 2015, he has been buried on the depth chart just catching 1 pass for 7 yards.

So it seems the potential is there just he's been marred by bad QB play for most of his time in St. Louis.

I had a feeling he may have been on The Ravens radar but wasn't sure. He can take the top off the defense  but it sucks Camp is i.r. I thought his injury was just  a back spasm .
