I live in small-town New Zealand, which Google tells me is 14,057km (8735 miles) away from the stadium (and I'm slightly impressed that Google has a measurement of the distance between Levin and Baltimore handy...). It's a couple of grand just to board the right planes, much less dealing with the logistics of work and that kind of thing.

I suspect it's a similar story with a lot of overseas fans - they'd love the chance to see their team play live and I think it's something locals can easily take for granted. That's why seeing empty seats always disappoints me a bit.

o i see. i hear new zealand is a delightful country. at least you have scenery. baltimore is just graffiti and abandoned buildings.

live ravens games are fun every once in a while, so im sure it would be a fun tourist attraction especially right next to the inner harbor. i honestly dont understand why people go to every single live game though, seems like a hassle and 80,000+ seats is a a lot to fill. although i think M & T bank stadium does pretty good. stadiums in jacksonville and san diego struggle because everyone is at the beach surfing.

Subscribe to "all 22", if you have it in your area.

Never even heard of "all 22". What is it and who offers it? I have Comcast. Expensive?

All-22 just means a very wide angle where "all 22" players are on screen and in view. However, it has come to refer to a package of various different angle on every play (coaching film). I believe NFL.com offers some type of package where you can replay every game in this way, and you may even be able to go back and review games from previous years if that is still part of their offer.

There is an energy at live games that obviously is impossible to replicate at home.

Home by far has way more advantages.  That cant be argued, but home will never ever have the energy, and the excitement and the thrill of a live game.

Interesting. I was at that game. We had a great time. There were some spirited fans, but we had no issues anywhere close to this. My buddies and I have done road trips over the last 10 years and have not had any problems. I don't know. When we do road trips, we know we are not at the Bank and we don't act like we are at the Bank. We root, but it's not over the top.

It's fairly expensive, but I wanna say no more than NFL Sunday Ticket and probably actually less. Only downside is I think you can only watch a replay

FYI, Jacksonville's stadium capacity is less than 68k. The reason they never sell out is because they are a bad team in a city that's not very interested in NFL football. The thought was that all the retired Northerners that moved to Florida would have a team to root for but that hasn't worked out to well, lol.

actually no, thats not it. there are MANY bad nfl teams that sell out stadiums. its all about location and demographics. the colder and more blue collar the city, the more it will sell. san diego has been good for many years now and they black out almost every other week. the only chance they have at selling tickets is when a team like the cowboys or the patriots come to town. same with jacksonville.

Maybe the league should utilize pre-entry compulsory breathalyzers or something.

There's no way that would ever happen.

First, they would never stop selling beer at games -Budweiser,Coors,and Miller are all mega sponsors of the NFL.

Secondly, do you realize how long it would take to test 70,000 people for alcohol?

Not even close, sorry. Just like any city, Baltimore has it's very nice parts. The whole riot thing is a black eye.

True that all cities are "pockety", but Baltimore is statically one of the worst places in the country. Our bad areas are baaaaddddd!

i didnt post anything about riots. baltimore has been a dangerous city for decades before the riots even happened. that was just icing on cake.

sure baltimore has its decent spots like any city, but look at the broad picture. its a cesspool compared to most cities. and my post was comparing it to new zealand. theres no comparison there.. but nice try.

It can happen any stadium... I had to dump a Vikings fan on his butt at M&T... He was talking trash the whole game... Whispering things Behind me , etc... A real weirdo ... Needless, to say ... He didnt have a choice to when it came to getting choke slammed. He came at me, and he got dumped... Security came .... Well after he was on the ground.
