[News] Late For Work 10/2: Ravens Breathe Second Life Into Season

131 posts in this topic

Would like to give a shout out to the newest member of the secondary... Will Davis... played extremely well last night... played tight coverage... almost had a pick... and did a solid job on covering Brown in the slot... heck of a game young man... keep grinding...

Given the state of things, we desperately need for Davis to pan out. He's under contract with us through next year ... for peanuts.

I've no faith that Melvin can provide meaningful support for us and Webb ... while he's not as horrid as so many on these boards make him out to be ... he most certainly isn't worth the money he's being paid. I'm thinking we're going to need to address some must sign players next year and will need cash, so Webb could be a casualty.

We need for some reliable corner play from somewhere and I'm hoping Davis can be a solid contributor.

I think it was Spence that intentionally hit Flacco's leg with the crown of his helmet. It should have been a flag.

On which play? The one where Joe left the pocket?

Your point is well taken and everyone makes mistakes, but that doesn't mean the mistake was unavoidable. Yeah it's a quick throw, but there is still plenty of time to see what was going on. Lost in all this is Joe was't under duress and the play had time to develop further before the ball was thrown. I highly doubt when reviewing the tape the coaches are going to say it was an unavoidable interception.

Unavoidable? Yes and no, that type of play is based on QB experience instead of nearly impossible reaction time because of speed of the game. Am sure it is more ingrained in Joe's mind to watch out after the fact. As for other people's comments, if someone bad mouths you, take the high road and do your thing, it eventually passes and we move onto the next story is all.

After the way the first 3 games played out, we are in the best position possible at the moment. Won a tough game, 10 days to recover, and key players coming back to play at home.

Don't forget we are playing Cleveland

Yes, he was a free runner but it looked like an intentional cheap shot

Campanaro is joining the list of injury prone Ravens(Webb, Monroe). They are gonna have up another WR. Ravens seemed to be stacked at TE, really like Nick Boyle good receiver and blocker. Go Ravens!

I'm glad we won this game, but the amount of ridiculous plays made by the Steelers made us win that game. The Ravens need to minimize the mistakes from here on out. Ravens need to run the ball well and that's how the play-action will be effective. Gotta let Joe heave that ball deep as well. Davis who? The man played very well last night hope he stays healthy. And the Ravens need a receiver, a fast one. Camp is injured, theres only so much SSS can do.

Will Hill and Will Davis looked good... Not saying things are wonderful but I am optimistic... The Ravens are making the playoffs.

Justin Tucker better get paid. Clutch and reliable kickers like him are hard to find. Just ask the Steelers. He's been damn near automatic since he was a rookie. The front office must make him a priority. Matt Stover was great for us for so many years and Tucker is already on his way to being a all time Raven.
