[News] The Breakdown: Eisenberg's Five Thoughts At Steelers

Bell did not easily snap the 100 yard rusher streak. He needed OT to get it done. So, add the words "in regulation" and, the streak is still alive.

Well, last night we did snap Antonio Brown's 35-game streak of 5 receptions and 50+ yards per game.  Sooooooo, I say it's an even trade off.   LOL

Joe has a tendency to lock on to receiver and constantly throw to him to death, he's done that with Mason, Boldin, Pitta, and now SSS. I realize that these receivers consistently get open but Joe focusing on one target is becoming a liability for interception. The passing game has to become more diverse when it comes down to throwing the ball to our receivers.

Get him more than 1 receiver who can make plays, and he'll spread the ball around. Last season, we had 4 Wrs(5 when Camp was healthy) and 2 TEs who were getting targeted. In the SB run, we had 4 different players with multiple TD receptions in the postseason. If that's not a record, it's gotta be close. Going into last night's game, Brady had targeted Edelman more than Flacco had Targeted SSS, so it's not like other qb's don't target their best WR far more than others. Ints haven't usually been a problem for Joe. Despite playing with so many limited receiving corps, he's only thrown more than 12 ints once in his career. Manning has done that 9 times, and Brady has done it 4 times.

"Just let Tucker win the game," Flacco said. Then Tucker went out on the field, kicked a 52 yard field goal that probably would have been good if it had been a 62 yarder, and won the game. Just like Flacco said. And THAT'S why we have to sign Tucker to a long term contract NO MATTER WHAT!

I wish so much that Campanaro was not so fragile, and I hope very much that this latest injury heals quickly, whatever it is. This guy has Loads of talent. If he could just stay on the field. He's exciting to watch. And he adds a Lot to this team that is in such desperate need of quality receivers. Please heal quickly, Camp, and somehow toughen up. You're a good football player and I love to watch you play.

Thank You to everyone who made their share of plays, especially Ricky Wagner for saving a score on that interception.

looks like we have 4 skilled te's on this team that is if pitta is cleared to play mid season. trestman will have to figure out a way to get all of these guys involved during the game. i have been very critical of brown and aiken but admit aiken showed signs of life. hopefully he can become consistent with his play. at his age sss is not built for a full game of reps. the fo must bring in a down field threat asap so he can start to learn the playbook and get reps with flacco these next 2 weeks and hopefully see playing time for the sf game in 2 weeks. like to see maxx williams line up as a slot receiver more often when gilmore returns. 2 te sets more often.  have fun with it trestman, think of it as an art project. tinker with it in practice
