Week 4 Discussion(Other Teams)

I can't believe Stafford has never won a road game against a team that finished the year with a winning record.

Like...how?

Calvin is a massive choke in nationally televised games. Who remembers when Elam called him "old" and he ended up dropping 2 huge passes that killed important drives.

Pound for pound the best WR in football when he's on his game, no other WR has that degree of size, speed, jumping, hands, route running, but he just lacks that killer instinct. I would take Julio over him right now.

Dang that was an intentional touchback by KJ Wright on the Calvin fumble. Ball should have gone back to the Lions. Seahawks got lucky

Intentional batting? Never heard of that. Sucks to see that back judge see it clearly like that, like is it petty to call that? Maybe but it's the final moments of the game.

You're right, TERRIBLE blown call, refs got caught sleeping, it was clearly an intentional bat out of the endzone. Return to the scene of the crime of the Fail Mary on that one, Seahawks luck with the blown calls on MNF is off the charts.

Weird thing is that I called that penalty while watching it, but I just assumed I was wrong because the official was staring right at it and didn't flag it. Then, Tirico, who is normally all over that stuff, said nothing, so I just figured there was a rule change or I was wrong.

Lol, my friend who's a Lions fan said "Cut Calvin!" Haha! I'll gladly take him!

@Curtis_Crabtree: Michael Bennett: "I don't like Matt Stafford much. He's from Dallas. They killed the President (JFK). ... I hold it against him."

Dean Blandino went on NFL Network to clarify that it was a blown call and that the penalty would've given the Lions the ball. On one hand, I doubt anyone but K.J. Wright is able to recover the ball. However, the rules have to be enforced consistently at all times so it's a tough loss for Detroit. Seattle gets another stroke of luck due to a judgement call by a referee while facing an NFC North opponent at home on MNF. Fairly odd coincidence.

It's uncanny. Now Wilson can give crap to both Megatron and Rodgers. Only one missing from the trifecta of people I would never ever piss off is JJ Watt

The thing that should upset Lions fans the most, at least from what I saw in the second half after I got off of work, is that the Seahawks didn't even play well enough to deserve to win. The Seahawks forced two fumbles on Wilson in the second half alone (three if that one out of bounds was a fumble) and really just took away that defense.

They were also gelling fairly well at times with their pass game, but penalties were absolutely killing their drives.

I'd be really upset to be flagged that often, but not receive possibly the most crucial penalty of the game. Can't blame the referees too often, but from what I saw in this game, penalties and that missed call are what did the Lions in

I sure hope they aren't as fortunate on Sunday nights. That's when Baltimore is scheduled to play them.

Dean Blandino said the back judge felt the intentional hitting out of bounds was unintentional and inadvertent. Translation: "Yeah, I didn't know about this rule and now I'm going to act like I do so I don't get fired." It's almost like that State Farm commercial when the referees have their mics on when they missed a call

That judge should be fired.

Blandino too if he was on the phone with the ref and didn't point out that batting should be called. Poor Lions, they are always getting screwed in these officiating fails.
