I dont know if our team has ever been very consistent.  Our superbowl year i think the cowboys ran for almost 300 yards but other weeks shutdown rbs.  We have always had a problem beating teams we should, playing down to competition

Our defense that year was a joke, but yeah that's true. I was only talking about only this year even though we're kinda allergic to consistency from time to time.

I've noticed Benjamin is developing into a deep threat.....need to watch that

Don't worry, pees will drop upshaw into coverage to handle it

He's too good, needs double coverage. Upshaw and DUMERVIL should be enough.

Last Thursday vs the Steelers when we went up 7-3 in the 1st quarter, that was the first time this season we've had a lead in the first half. We need to do that again. We need to jump on CLE early and often to build momentum.  I'm hoping THIS is the game when all 3 phases play a complete and great game.

Yea imo Joe's int changed the game in the first half. If he doesn't force the ball to Sr and instead his Brown before the Safety got over, the score is possibly 14-0 and for the first time the D would have a double digit lead to play with.

The Browns have no reason to feel they are an inferior team but if the Ravens can score early and the defense can start fast i think their confidence gets shaken. The Ravens have no reason to be overly confident in this game so overlooking the Browns shouldn't be an issue. They need to come out with a playoff like intensity.

Thoughts on injury list:

Well time for Maxx and Boyle to step up again.

How long has Canty been out now?

I didn't even know D.Smith was hurt.

Hopefully Eugene Monroe is 100 percent.

How long has Canty been out now?  I think this is his 3rd game missed.

I didn't even know D.Smith was hurt.  Listed as 'non injury related'

Hopefully Eugene Monroe is 100 percent.

was really just talkin stuff -but is 47 points really that inconceivable? Against the 31st rushing defense ? Against the Browns ? No we haven't been playing our best but eventually were gonna catch fire and that Pitt game mighta been just what we needed to bolster the confidence.

I think what's laughable is half the board jumping ship and losing complete faith in their team 4 games in. Since when is beating the Browns and putting up 40+ Laughable? Is it that unrealistic? I certainly don't think so but hey.

Have you seen our WR core?

Ruled out: Gillmore, Perriman, Canty.   SMH!

Prob: Monroe, Taliaferro, D. Smith, Yanda, McClellan

If Urban gets ready later on, it will be at least easy decision on how to make room on the roster for him.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ our offense is atrocious. the only way we put up more than 40points is if we get some pick sixes

I think he was out for the last three games and part of the opener... kind of like Monroe.

I'd like to see Jernigan come out strong. He seems to love putting a whooping on QBs but hasn't really gotten one this year... yet.

Jernigan lost half his Snaps to Davis.

Jernigan lost half his Snaps to Davis.

Think that was just because we figured the steelers would run A lot due to Ben being out. Plus he's still coming off a nagging injury. Edited by Cillmatic

Speaking of Jernigan.  What in the hell happen to him??   He has been disappointing so far.    Too much hype around him too early.    He got ways to go.

The Browns have some secondary injuries that may inure to our benefit.

I could be wrong but I don't think we've scored first in any of the first 4 games. It's extremely important we get the jump on them early and then just suffocate them with the run game.

A lead would be nice.

Who are the return men now?

Fair Catch and Touchback

He's too good, needs double coverage. Upshaw and DUMERVIL should be enough.

Or Barry Church

I wanna see a no turnover game, but I don't want Joe to go into a shell either.

I kind of see this playing out like the Titans game last year. Not crazy pretty at all, but never really in doubt. No big mistakes and just enough plays to win.

We need this one.

Givens is a longshot to be a S.Smith replacement. I'll settle for a couple nice grabs.

Id like to see us start fast.

With what? Even the national media knows our WR corps is JV level. One good game for Forsett does not mean our O line woes are gone. Even so, if you can't pass, the run game is going to suffer as a result.

Don't know. Perhaps Givens is what we need. One can only hope.

You are pointing everything out except the most important guy: QB

Well, I said I'd to see us start fast. You want to see us start slow and fall behind early? Its what I like to see not what I think will happen. Honestly we still need to see if Aiken can be consistent and if Givens can make a nice contribution. This rec. corps is bad....like really really bad...but Im still hopeful we can pull this one off.

Opportunity opportunity opportunity. That's what I see for this WR corp. These guys are in the NFL for a reason and while they're not studs they just have to be good enough to make the plays that are there for them. Trestman will scheme these guys up well. If the Browns play man, it'll be a ton of crossing routes to move defenders. If it's zone he'll ask guys to run through the zone and free up a 2nd window through. The key is the oline giving Joe time.

I'm so excited for these WRs. I love opportunity.

Le sigh. No Crockett. Honestly, I love Maxx, but it's very rare for a rookie to produce at TE. I think Maxx is going to be a hell of weapon in the future and that he and Crockett can be a great duo at TE.. But I don't think he's adjusted to the game speed yet. I don't blame him and I hope he proves me wrong.

now that Gilmore is also out I will admit that 47 points is a little over the top but I still wouldn't be surprised if we put up 30+

Well that's great and all but who is it you think he can count on at WR?

I want us to win. I also like to keep my expectations realistic.

We need to start fast. That isn't a realistic expectation though given our current state at WR. Could it happen? Yes. Is it probable? Nothing points to that being probable.

We need to run the ball. Great except if we can't establish the passing game they will just stack the box and the run game will suffer. Now you have nothing.

I want us to win and I believe we can. I just expect it to be brutal and ugly. Not all the things we wish for.
