The um Good, Bad and really Bad vs Steelers--vent away, vent away all

Hilarious . Minicamp doesn't mean squat in relation to training camp and the preseason games .

What's minicamp , a week at a time . Lol

some of y'all have a really dry sense of humor. That's hilarious to you?

Anyway, never said it did mean anything. I said it was obviously premature. I do think coaches have a general idea of how the depth chart will shake out very early on, but in my personal opinion I think Bp would have taken the #2 spot as well. Aikens a solid #3 at best. I had hopes he would do better , and he still may, but it is what it is.

you have to remember to send practices were low intensity practices that were non contact. The receivers are at a major advantage because corner won't press often at all and they obviously can't hit a recover to jar the ball loose. Really think it means anything to look good in shorts and a t shirt with no contact? If you do, then you're sorely mistaken.

And even if the Ravens wanted to "ease" Perriman in (where did you see this?), they couldn't afford to ease him in. They have a void at wide receiver talent and it's horribly apparent now with no field stretcher. They would have put Perriman in real quick.

Sad thing is, 90% of the board noticed this would be an issue with Aiken as the two, but people still put way too much faith into that

I'm well aware of what these practices consist of. just going off of what was reported bud. Obviously they were very early projections and a lot could have changed. As we witnessed. Edited by January J

Steelers aren't the problem any more.

Bengals have beaten us in 4 of the last 4.

They have, but like I told several fans....they can beat us all they want and win as many divisions as they want. Come playoff time we do the damage there and they don't.

It would be nice to have homefield advantage though....once.....

At this point, we need to be focused on actually making the playoffs. Winning the division is a marathon of mileage outside of our consideration at this point.

I agree its fun to pile on the Bengals for being a poor playoff team, but they've pretty much owned us on the football field for the last few years.

And judging by what I see around the AFC right now, I'd put a lot of money on them making a decent playoff run right now.

they certainly have the team to do so, it's all on whether good ole Andy steps up or folds come playoff time. His track record obviously points to the latter...

They can steamroll through the regular season all day, gotta win when it counts and so far they've been unable to do so. However this is a different Cincinnati team and a more experienced dalton so I wouldn't put it past them.. But I would love nothing more than for them to win the division and get all headstrong and then be one and done at the hands of Baltimore.

wasn't talking about an "official" depth chart. And as I said, I'm just going off of what was reported on the website. All reports were saying that Aiken would likely start the season as the number 2 and Perriman would be eased in- and that was before the injury. Whether this would have panned out or not is certainly up for debate, but like I said for the 10th time, I'm just going off of what was reported at the time, not my personal opinion. So all of you who are saying it was just minicamp and Aiken won by default and Blazay blah can go argue with the ppl who wrote the articles.

Problem is you're going off the word of the talking heads.  The same people also praised every WR at one point.  The Ravens and Flacco praised Butler heavily.  Steve Smith praised Robinson.  Preseason hype is nothing but preseason hype.  Aiken won the #2 due to injuries.

people where high on aiken last season though.

many on these boards wanted torrey benched in favor of him lol.

people get way to hyped and loose all sense of reality and then when they come crashing back to earth get all pissed off in disbelieve.

the aiken and melvin hype has been put to rest for now

this is true but the insiders would know better than we do. They attended nearly every practice, talked with the coaches, saw who was getting the most reps, etc. giving them a feel for who was where on the depth chart. Of course they exaggerated how well the receivers were doing, but as far as who was seeing the most reps with the first team and what not is something that they witnessed first hand. Aiken may very well have won the starting job regardless of the injuries, but he would have lost it rather quickly.

For what its worth SSS vouched for Kamar. Don't ever remember him vouching for Torrey.

I expect Kamar to finish with 1000yards , mostly because there is no one else , then to leave for a big contract that he won't live up to.

he also vouched for deandre carter. Doesn't mean much.i wouldn't rule it out but He will have to really step it up in order for that to happen.

I wasn't that active on the boards yet but that's a shame.  My cousin was like that.  "Bench Torrey, for anyone.  Doesn't matter who".  I warned him and others that losing Torrey may hurt (although nobody could have predicted losing our first round WR).  Then again I never got on the Aiken hype wagon

well we are only 4 games in and aiken had a pretty good showing against Pittsburgh, so I wouldn't write him off just yet. In the Denver game joe didn't have time to throw to anybody, and in Oakland he was decent other than the fumble of course. He also will be getting more opportunities in the absence of SSS, so we will see if he capitalizes. Like you said, easy to say we should've kept Torrey in hindsight. Edited by January J

I will glad eat my words if Aiken balls out against the browns. I unlike some people on here would rather be wrong if they means we do good

ONLY The lions and Seahawks have a worse O-line than we do.

Yes our o line hasn't been playing to its potential, but we are still easily in the top 10 in terms of talent. Plus we've been missing Monroe since the first drive of week 1. I mean if your just going off of the way we've performed these first 4 games then that's a different story.

This team has lots of talent and yet were terrible. Who is to blame?

Have you watched many Eagles games?

Or Dolphins ... or Broncos for that matter. The Broncos run game is dead in the water and Peyton is hanging on for dear life. They've won all their games on the defensive side

There was a whole piece earlier this year on one of the sports networks detailing the fall of the offensive lines around the league and why that has led to so many QB injuries.

Seattle has an O-line? I thought those were just safety cones. RIP Wilson

Ha ... yeah, it is a good thing that Wilson is as elusive as a QB I've seen since Fran Tarkenton. He made some ridiculous escapes from the jaws of death on Monday night. He's special in that regard.

Maybe we need more hurt guys, like Baban, and our great #1 Pick, who ever he is supposed to be.

What a smug bunch !!!!

We had a very poor off season, and ......................surprise..........................!!

I'm in mobile. I saw his font and thought I had zoomed in the screen. I sat there for a good minute trying to minimize it.
