Did anyone else watch that INT by Flacco? Seemed like the CB (Cockrell) was covering Marlon Brown on a 9 route, and then broke off to go underneath SSS just as he threw it. Seemed like a really good gamble rather than a bad read by Flacco (which Simms seemed to agree). Thoughts?

It was a great play by the defense. They were running the exact same blitz three times with man coverage on the outside

On the pick they perfectly sold the same play but called a combo coverage which means the corner jumps every underneath breaking route.

Sometimes you got to take your hats off for something and that was the perfect call in this situation and very well excecuted by Timmons and Cockrell

I'm just disappointed that we didn't improve in this game. We REALLY looked awful in this game. Would rather lose a game clean than win with luck, the opponents best player out, and their kicker missing 5 field goals straight. Just saying, we didn't prove anything.

That's exactly how I feel. Winning with a bad taste in your mouth is just not the same.

The Ravens were never gonna go winless for the season, and so they luck'ed out in Pittsburgh last night.

However, their performance didn't (shouldn't) instill any confidence that they're on the up and up.

Great game by; Camp, Aiken, Forsett, Will Davis, Will Hill, D. Smith.

Actually the defense was great the 2nd half I think they only gave up 3 pts.

Headed to the Steeler forum to check out the meltdown.

How about a little love for Za Darius Smith! 2 sacks on back to back plays. Not bad for a fourth round pick

Was a very good deceptive "play call" if you will from the defense. They basically balked at a blitz from that side, shifted back to cover those routes, and it was essentially a zone defense, where that corner had the short route on the outside, and he played it well.

Difficult coverage to diagnose for Joe, but he did stare Steve down on that play, and if he didn't he might not have thrown the ball to him. He probably cost us 3 points on that one.

I hope this win didn't convince the team our offensive weapons are good enough. Because they're still not.

Slight side note: These Thursday night games are simply awful from a quality of play standpoint. Was a great game to watch because of the rivalry/competitive nature of the game and it was exciting because it was close and back and forth and everything, but the quality of play last night just simply wasn't very good by either team.

Same thing has happened for the last three weeks on Thursday night, and I remember the same last season. With 3 days rest, these guys are practically running on fumes out there. They look slower, they look beat up, and the execution on the field is affected.

Nothing will change, because the NFL loves it (and frankly, I don't hate having a Thursday game either), but the quality of play in these games just simply isn't very high.

Nope, but we know that Aiken will probably remain a starter, Campanaro deserves more snaps, and Marlon Brown probably shouldn't be playing much at all.

Campanaro isn't getting any snaps from the ICU. Dude is made of glass.

I think the defense played pretty good. Will Davis was great and so were the usuals. Webb not as bad as everyone was saying. We have no pass rush and that needs to change asap. We finally ran the ball well. Flacco made a few mistakes like not just throwing it up on that 4th down. But the biggest issue has to be our receiving core those sacks were due to the fact that our receiver could not get open. Trade for a receiver pls.

Considering the amount of time Webb missed, I expect he should continue to improve over the next few games unless re-injured. Lets hope SSS is OK. I'm sure he can use the extra few days between now and the next game. Back injuries can be tricky and time consuming to recover.

Marlon plays because he is the better blocker. Campanaro is a good receiver but his body hasn't been very durable and he likely is not a good blocker.

Has Juszczyk ever run the ball in his entire career? I'd like to see some FB run's in short situations like we did with Leach.

Interestingly, I didn't look for him during the game. Wondering if maybe he was being used as a blocker to help the OL.

It's the perfect timing for Waller to pull an ODB type explosion onto the scene

I can dream

Has anyone heard anymore on his injury?  I read somewhere that he was getting x-rays on his lower back?  He played a great game last night so hopefully he is okay and he can probably use the extra days same with SSS.

Few thoughts

Will Davis played pretty well, much better then Melvin was playing so this is an upgrade for now.

Waller and Aiken both made some plays so hopefully they are ready to contribute more

Forsett and this offensive line finally showed up and it was great to see

Since we actually have a first rounder recovering from an injury, I thought it would be him. Now it seems we can't wait for that. It'll be nice to see how Waller is incorporated with a long week of reps as one of the top 3/4 receivers.

Maybe more Martavis Bryant than ODB type explosion but he no doubt has earned more snaps. I think he's just one big play away from getting on a roll, if I'm Trestman I'm finding ways to get the ball to this guy against Cleveland, he's one of the best weapons we have left on offense when utilized correctly. This strikes me as a great game to amp up Waller's snaps and let him show us what he can do in a more featured role.

Campanaro fan boys are a salty lot.

Campanaro has proven he can't stay on the field and thus cannot be relied upon. No amount of negs will change that fact.

Juice is another overrated player. Don't trust him with the ball at all.

Not really that hard.

When he's on the field, you can rely on him. When he's not, you don't.

Is this really that hard to understand? Not sure not putting a guy out there because he might get hurt makes a lot of sense from a football perspective.

Good: the run game finally got going albeit inconsistent.

Good: will Davis, z. Smith steped up and Will Hill had an awesome game.

Bad: injury to camp and SSS

Really Bad: there's no Ravens football for 10 days.

Really Good. Players can rest up because there is no Ravens football for 10 days.

Go Ravens!

Juice only fumbled the ball twice last year if i'm not wrong and he not a bad blocker either. He made some solid blocks last night for Forsett.
