The um Good, Bad and really Bad vs Steelers--vent away, vent away all

Another reason why I hate social media. I hope he didn't do it because Steelers fans were tweeting him harsh things or death threats or anything.

Lets be honest that is exactly what was happening to him.

unsung hero for me, Kapron Lewis-Moore, who absolutely crashed the entire left side of the line on the OT vick rollout, he single handedly shoved the G, T, and TE 5 yards backs into vicks face, forcing vick to bounce out and right into jimmy smiths arms, without that incredible crash, vick cuts upfield about 10 yards outside of the tackle box and gets that first down with ease.

Josh Scobee is trending on Twitter, and if you click on his name under trending, there are some pretty crazy tweets.

After that sequence at the end of half, I didn't feel good. Then lost almost all hope on Joe's fumble. If the Steelers had a competent kicker, no way we win this. Not to mention Big Ben.

Our O line at least managed to open some nice holes finally but pass protection still sucked.

Good effort by D in general, vs their run in particular. Will Hill is for real. Corners still too tentative, better QB will likely exploit them again. Nice couple plays by Will Davis. Z. Smith improved couple more notches, needs to continue doing that. Another great showing by Williams and Daryl Smith.

Aiken is not a world beater by any means but he saved us tonight. Great play on TD, few important catches later on after Senior went down.

Camp is definitely made of glass. I feel bad for him, has potential to be solid player but he just can't put together more than 2-3 consecutive games.

I didn't like what Flacco did tonight. He was under pressure but made some bad plays and bad decisions.

We played with a lot of heart - pluses all around on that aspect of the game.

You know how upset fans can be? Does anyone remember when Kyle Williams fumbled the 49ers

chances of making it to the Super Bowl against the Pats?

The best thing about this win (besides the winning part) was seeing Patriots fans on Twitter get so mad. I feel like they were angrier than Steelers fans lol.

Why would THEY get mad?

remember when leodis mckelvin fumbled 2 kick returns on opening night vs the patriots in a game they almost certainly would have won without said fumbles?

if im not mistaken he had his lawn set on fire that night.

Alright. I'm doing this anyway...

The Good. Flacco(post turnovers. He got us back into the game after making a mistake. That's what you want to see). Offensive line in run blocking. Secondary played well. Front 7 was great. ZDS looked good. Upshaw and Doom might start rotating again at that rate. IDC if it's Vick. That means you have to be more commited to the run. Defense when not with turnovers was lights out. Excellent play vs a loaded offense. All three running backs made plays. I like Buck Allen. Will Hill and Davis. Jimmy got burned again but appears to be getting some confidence back.

The Bad: SSR's injury. Flacco preturnovers. Offensive line's pass blocking. Webb still sucks. We did get lucky with the missed FGs

The Ugly: Camp. He had a little coming out party and is probably down for awhile.

The steelers gave this game away... we beat the steelers albeit with Roethlisberger out. Still Don't like Pees at DC. Anyways, a win is a win especially against the steelers. Was very happy to see Zadarius get 2 sacks, and in a row, no less. hopefully he can develop into a threat alongside doom, and this pass rush can become a threat again. We won a close game and this is what this team needed to figure out how to do. Let's be honest here. Flacco isn't playing well this season. But we know how far we can get with him. He can bring this team a super bowl, and he needs to step up, along with the rest of the team, which they are more than capable of doing. We have a lot of work to do on this team, on both sides of the ball, but we got a win. 1-3. on to the Browns.

The only way this team could win a game is by playing against a backup and the worst kicker in the league. Meh. We don't win this game 9 times out of 10.

You are right....game was absolute GIFT. Someone tell Aaron Rodgers he was wrong.........HE is a Ravens fan lol.

My biggest takeaway from this game besides the W was that it was a growing experience for the young guys and Joe touched on that in his post game interview. Whether it's Will Davis, Za'Darius, KLM, Waller, Boyle, Maxx, Buck Allen, ect. it felt like they all did some "growing up" tonight. These are the types of games that build character for not just young players but also this year's team as a whole

Even if we aren't competing for a SB this year I'm glad to see our young guys get better, even if this season doesn't end up amounting to what we had hoped the future is bright for this team. I won't count us out just yet though, this is a game that can turn the tides of an entire season.

Something positive is the running game got some rhythm. The Steelers front 7 is pretty good and the temperature was able to fibally establish the run, somewhat.

To me, Joe was terrible . He should have had more than 1 INT. With them missing Shazier and Allen, although Allen is conceived to be a liablilty, I expected a whole ton more. Like I said in multiple other threads, I truly believe that our season is done. If we can't deceively defeat, they actually should have beat us, a back up QB, then we don't deserve to make the playoffs.

this is a good takeaway, while its nice to see our young guys make some strides, im not sure it means much..

maybe we got the first win jitters out of the way having a new OC and so many new and young pieces across the board, or maybe we just got giftwrapped the game and finally took advantage. in these circumstances we should blow them out every time.

i will need to see us play a full 4 quarters, or at least show some consistency along with a sense of urgency throughout the game. we are so lethargic for so long and then finally wake up in the waning minutes, it just cant be like that. i still have little faith until i see us put together some good performances, not winning by getting out-uglied by a team without a qb and a spaghetti-legged kicker.

Great post. This could help us reverse our season and make a playoff bid, but even if not, the young guys are indeed getting better. If we can't make it this year, next year could end up looking really bright still.

“The best thing I could do without threatening him and saying that I will assault him when I see him, is I’ll say I look forward to playing him again. He’s on my lifetime hit list.” — Steve on Mike Mitchell after his hit.

That'd be scary to be on Steve's hit list

Not sure if anybody has said  it by now but Juan Castillo should get some love with all the talk about our run game becoming just like 2013 because Kubiak  not being around. The Steelers aren't bad at stopping the run either and for the offensive line to play so well against their defensive line was pretty impressive.

I think it's unfair to call Mike Vick a back up quarterback it's as if people are saying he isn't good or capable of winning games.  It hasn't really been that long since Mike Vick was the starting quarterback for The Eagles and one of  the main reason why he wasn't the starter any more was because he constantly kept getting hurt. Vick is very capable quarterback whom can help a team win games and honestly it seems like it doesn't matter what quarterback is playing for the steelers they still play The Ravens hard and stays low scoring game.

My point is that I don't let football consume my life unlike a lot of these weirdos. Heck, this team gives me a lot of stress game in and game out. I don't need to worry about stats from a player's from another team.

After he tore the Panthers a new one last year is there any doubt that Steve will absolutely go off against the Steelers in his final game against them (and Mitchell)? Looking forward to that game big time.

Did anyone else watch that INT by Flacco? Seemed like the CB (Cockrell) was covering Marlon Brown on a 9 route, and then broke off to go underneath SSS just as he threw it. Seemed like a really good gamble rather than a bad read by Flacco (which Simms seemed to agree). Thoughts?

Why would THEY get mad?

Because they are forever obsessed with and threatened by us. They were ready to dance on the 0-4 grave.

Exactly. This little kid is pathetic with his 12 year old belly aching at every turn.

Wait, he's insulting Davis for thanking our organization for giving him a CHANCE?

Alight. I'm upset now... I may be no better. But let's have some fun shall we....

*looks at other threads*

Yeah, I'm with 1/28. This pessimism is beyond annoying and anger inducing.....Football is nothing more than entertainment. I enjoy watching it, and the people in the NFL are bound to make mistakes. Flacco played like crap tonight, but still managed to get us back in it. Davis, albeit in limited snaps, did well. And IDC who the QB is. Good coverage is good coverage.

The fact that people are being more immature than a middle schooler learning how to swear for the first time is beyond baffling to me. WE WON. Who gives a damn if it was impressive? We win. That's all that matters. We won. And going back on other posts. I don't care if they call me soft. I'm happy with my life and yes, "blessed".

Call me soft all you want people. We won. All that matters. We've been in literally every game. We'll win a few more.

Some people here need to grow the hell up and smell the damn roses.

I guess so. Imagine if we had a complete defense (not inconsistent with not much flaws and I understand that's not the care), I'm sure they wouldn't want to play us then.

Thank you! +35 for you sir! I'm pretty sure the team doesn't want to win games like this, but it is what it is. I'm already on to CLE. I'm eager to see how they carry on into next week with a win like this.

Coverage isn't all on the qb either. They still have to cover the receivers and Brown is the best in the business.

At which point does this pessimistic nature become outlandish statements and trolling? Im starting to see wayyyy too many complaints on the person...
