Perriman injury updates

545 posts in this topic

I'm already done with perriman. Made of glass. So every bump and minor strain is 3 months?

Make no mistake..ozzie and co wish they could do a re-run of that draft.

You were done with him the second we drafted him.  But to say Oz and Co would already be done with him as well is just dumb.  Draft picks are a look into the future, not 5 weeks.  Yea it sucks hes not on the field, but we cant determine anything until he is.  if after three seasons he does nothing, i will sadly commend on your prediction.  Not sad that i have to commend you, sad because he didnt work out.

well i guess we will, i know your stuck on him as a bust, but you should at least let him get on the field for a season.

I wonder if Giant fans thought OBJ was a bust because of getting hurt? Do the Jaguar fans think Fowler is a giant bust since he was lost for the season?

You realize that OBJ was 10 times the WR Perriman was in college right? OBJ was a top 15 pick. If Perriman doesn't run a 4.26 at his pro day he's a third rounder at best.

I just wish they would give us some sort of timeline.  What worries me is that they aren't even releasing what his injury is. Knee injury? Cool, is it MCL sprain, meniscus, tendonitis? Don't they normally give a little more information?

nah he would have a 2nd round grade like torrey.

but you are right that his 40 time made him a 1st rounder.

Really sucks to hear he's down again and we do need a deep threat. Aiken as a deep threat is just terrible. No seperation whatsoever.

Even before he ran that CBS had him ranked as a late 1st round, early 2nd prospect. Under no circumstances would he have been a 3rd rounder.

Also, the front office said they only had a first round grade on 15 players. I sincerely doubt he got put into the top 15 players of the draft by Ozzie and co purely because of a good 40 time.

I doubt Perriman will be out for as long as some believe. I'm not a doctor but after Thursday it will be a while till the Ravens play again. I don't know his condition, but he was reaching the final stages of his recovery. Aggravating his injury doesn't mean he'll have to start his recovery process all over again, it just means he's just got a set back so he'll be delayed.

I don't know when he'll back, but I don't think we'll have to wait too long.

Same with the Bears and Kevin White.

I am probably in the same boat as everyone else ... I'm weary of waiting to hear an analysis every other minute on what his injury status is. Just wake me when he takes the field.

To add to your point, aside from the scouting sites, numerous analysts like Mike Mayock, Greg Cossell and Gil Brandt had him pegged as a 1st round talent months before the Pro day. Claiming he would've went in the 3rd round at best isn't even remotely close to his projection prior to the workouts.

I agree with this. I'm hopeful for him and believe he'll do well but I'll pull the Flacco line and say I won't worry until he puts in a full week of practice and/or is on the field.

As a another weapon this offseason I would love Mohamed sanu. He's an FA after this season he hasn't blown up. I think we could get him. I'd like that!

If OBJ doesn't run 4.35 at the combine then most likely he's not a top 15 pick.  People liked OBJ but he really put teams on notice after his combine work out. I wasn't even sure if he was top 15 player until he actually proved to everybody on the football field last year why he was picked so high.

I believe i said this before but Mike Mayock and other sports analyst  was speaking about Perriman as  a first rounder way before his 40 time. Greg Cosell even spoke highly of him and compared him to Julio Jones.

but he wont stand up, his osgood schlatters disease means he'll never walk again and he is an injury prone bust.

For me this is nothing against him or saying he is a bust or anything like that. For me this has to do with him going into the eight game counting preseason he has missed, when being told he would be back withen that first week. To this day eight weeks later we still have not seen him play one play, one down nothing, and now we here he hurt hiself again. When and if he ever plays he will suck because he hasn't played. His first season as a pro will be a waste because of an injury no one know of

Nah man, they're right, he's a bust, Ozzie is dumb and can't draft he should be fired so should DeCosta and Harbaugh. We should trade Joe and Yanda and all our key players since Ozzie can't draft. Perriman has bad hands, slow and injury prone he should have went undrafted. Sell the team and move them to Canada.

Can a WR go on the field in a wheelchair? I'm ready to put Perriman on the field in a wheelchair. Maybe he can go deep with Leach pushing him down the field in a sorta lead-blocker role.

@SI_PeterKing: Been 2 full months since this guy had a minor knee tweak in camp. Strangest injury of the year.

@ProFootballTalk: John Harbaugh says he's unaware of a setback for Breshad Perriman http://t.co/E386kjT5Bs

Damn.

Ben Roethlisberger was diagnosed with the same thing wasn't he? McLain sprain and bone bruise. Apparently 4-6 weeks

To be fair, he'd probably make some highlight-reel plays against that Pittsburgh secondary.

The thing that's REALLY annoying is how nobody is claiming to know anything. Ben goes down and we get a hard 4-6 weeks. But Perriman is still apparently unknown. I feel like the FO absolutely does know something (something bad) and is trying to sweep it under the rug for appearances. At this point I don't expect to see Perriman on the field this year at all.
