Perriman injury updates

545 posts in this topic

Just heard on SportsCenter that Perriman is a no-go today.  The only thing that this guy runs for is the bench.   Time to get a WR that is tough enough to play.,. This kid surely is not.

I'd be a fan if we could actually see something.

which you won't. There was always something about him which screamed bust to me.

Also, as he is an athlete first and football player second its even worse. He also had an injury which stopped him from competing at the combine.

i kinda wish he never had his pro day..we probably wouldnt have taken him then

I think I may need to take a sabbatical from this place. It's getting deep.

Yeah this thread has gotten out of hand, really hope no one he knows reads any of this stuff

Don't get me wrong. I'm a little irritated with the injuries as well. He needs to get on the field because it's clear we relied on a rookie for once. Talking about him like he's already a bust is just a joke, however, since it's too early to say either way.

I mean, if he was out there shredding secondaries, I know there would be plenty of people who would say it's too early to say he'll succeed and that he has to keep it up before they call him a #1. I think these same people are also currently his loudest critics.

Can't blame him for trying to get back on the field. I like it, at least he's going hard. That shows he will be an extremely hard worker. Just get healthy brotha

Exactly right and I do recall that as well. I'm just not a fan of seeing exaggerated blanket statements based on assumptions simply to further one's agenda. I absolutely recall that there were numerous members who weren't fans of the selection, that's a fact. But it was far from literally everyone's opinion.

I remember Gabe was really high on him, too, and for most people, it was the same concern as for me- his hands. They were happy to get a receiver, but weren't sure about those hands

That was a surprising discovery since he was less than complementary about his hands and his athleticism in the few posts he made in the FM, but I do recall him talking him up closer to the draft. The latter concern is certainly a fair one.

Well route running was a concern.  The hands were more technique, but people wondered if he can really break well.

People on this board are getting real whiney though...

Can't disagree with regards to all accounts, especially the last one.
