Get with the program, you're supposed to be in meltdown and calling him a bust who'll never play a down in the NFL and the only taste he'll get of the professional game is with the Topane Arena Football team (assuming Topane's a real place...).

It's frustrating to see all these setbacks, but it pays to be patient with these guys early on, whether they're underwhelming with their play or they've been getting injured more than we'd like.

Yea apparently Perriman and the Ravens are feeding a lot of the families of members on this board and a lot of mortgage payments are riding on whether the Ravens win or lose because there are a ton of fans way too emotional and overrating to the Ravens season. I love football and I love the Ravens even more but getting worked up over things you can't control and have nothing to do with my well being just doesn't really interest me.

Well, this certainly sucks. I'm kinda tired of this drama.

You and me both.  He will be fine guys.  Seriously, players do get injured.  Yes it's a shame it happens in his rookie year where he misses training camp and the start of the season, but he is going to be fine and he will play this season.

Whenever I think this place can't get any more mind-bogglingly stupid it always manages to lower the bar again.

Never doubt Ravens talk.

I think you have to wait before you do that. I don't think you can tell your players to tank right now.

thats not tanking, thats seing what your team has to offer for the future. if its a lost season, (notice the IF) then we have nothing to gain except for risk of injury by playing all of our starters at a regular snap count.

its only tanking if you lose on purpose. playing the young guys instead of the old vets isnt tanking.

is it only an acceptable tactic for teams with clinchd playoff spots? why cant a good team with a string of bad luck do it to avoid injury and evaluate their current talent?

It is definitely fishy considering Harbaugh basically lied fom beginning saying he didn't know anything about the injury and that it was minor. Why didn't they have an MRI at the beginning.

I honestly believe this will be Harbaugh's last year. I think we clean house Oz, Harbaugh, Trestman and Pees are all gonna be outta here.

:D  :D  :D Thanks.  I needed this laugh

If surgery means the young man will come back healthier and strong then great. Obviously the issue was serious enough to possibly require surgery but they wanted to give it a chance to just heal with rest. I'm glad he had the setback when he did because it required the doctors to finally say let's clean it up and do what's right for the player not the team.

Also it sounds like the surgery might speed up the recovery and he may be available at some point this season but I just want the young guy to be healthy.

this.

he could have though he was healthy, played 1 snap, and re injured himself. but instead the team took the right measures to repair the injury, and make sure it is going to be a full recovery. if it is an injury that required surgery, and they tried to let it go, then it would have needed surgery eventually regardless. but now once his recovery is done, that should be the end of it

I just heard Adam Schefter say on NFL live that Perriman had surgery on his knee, and out indefinitely unknown if he will even play this year. I mean wow what a major blow.... If this kid ends up never having taken a snap this year. Then my question is what kind of training staff, doctors etc so we have to not properly diagnosis the injury earlier and treat begin the recovery process basically 7 or 8 weeks ago ...

He re-injured it.

There's no medical staff on the planet that exists that can prevent an athlete from re-injuring it.

I always chuckle when people complain about medical staffs.

Waiting for Perriman to get on the field is like waiting for the White Walkers or for Daenerys to go to Westeros in A Game of Thrones/ASOIAF. You keep hearing about how good they are going to be but you are still waiting for them to show up.

Lol at all the people calling him a bust and how Ozzie is horrible. You're all a bunch of Jon Snows.

Kudos if you get the reference, if you don't it just further validates my point.

I'm all chuckled out for the day. I didn't stop laughing for the first hour after the news came out.

Hahaha, can't tell if serious or not? I was being sarcastic, I guess I'm not good at that. Either way, I will clarify for those that do not watch the show.

It is said in the show, Jon Snow knows nothing. Now, pertaining to the inner circle of the NFL and predicting the future of a player we have not seen play, we all in fact know nothing. I know I know nothing and accept it and that's why I will wait to develop my consensus of what Perriman is or will be.

Threw in a little Socrates in there for you as well.

John Harbaugh says pregame that Perriman had his knee scoped this morning. Harbaugh says that they found no new damage.

Harbaugh said that it's just healing very slow. Called it a matter of time before Perriman returns.

So they haven't been hiding anything from us?

I is confused... So is he not out for the year or is he out for the year?

The writing was on the wall.  When so many people saw Perriman pull up on Sunday and Harbs saying "I see Nutttthin" after multiple questions it was clear some kind of game was afoot.

Since it was unlikely Perriman could get in for the Steelers game anyway, it had to be a larger ruse.  The only thing it could be was time to hide the extent of the injury in regard to making an offer for an experienced WR.

Newsome made the offer, but he bid too cheap. And the seller wasn't gonna sell for peanuts.

Spy vs Spy you know.

So where do we go from here?  Aiken, Brown, Campanaro and Waller.  At least one of them must grow up fast.

And Harbaugh stated just yesterday or the day before that he had no idea that Perriman had a set back with his injury.

So the injury started out and he said it was day to day. Fast forward a month and a half. Still hurt. Now he doesn't even know the guy is hurt and he has to get knee surgery?!?

Does this guy have any clue what is going on?

The main reason I'm frustrated is just the lack of incompetence the FO, Coaches and team doctors showed during this whole ordeal. This has been the SHADIEST injury I've ever heard of. Remember guys "day-to-day".

Remember how late Odell came back? Look how that turned out. Hopefully Perriman can come back for this. Ravens invested high with him

SOB! I had a bad feeling about this. Perriman looking like a BUST! Ozzie obviously didnt do his homework. He did his homework on CJ Mosleys knees injuries etc, but didnt check into Perrimans knee history

I really feel that we should peruse a trade right now, someone who can fill the void of a #2 WR until Perriman returns.

IIIIFFFFFFFFFF we win tonight, perhaps we see a trade. Still unlikely, but who knows.

If we lose, no trade and the season is over anyway!

I read an article that said this was his second surgery on the knee. And Harbaugh indicated the other day there was nothing new to report on the Perriman situation. SMH.

What advantage did Harbaugh have for flat out lying only a day or two ago saying he doesn't know of Perriman getting re injured on sunday?

Or did he genuinely not know?

he's like that. Of course he knew. Harbs is a stuck up dude.

Well, this certainly sucks. I'm kinda tired of this drama.

Does this mean we have to wait for him to heal from surgery and the pcl injury as well?

They never said he's out for the season, just indefinitely.

Need some stem cells on his scalp lmao.

Are stem cells legal in the US now? I thought Manning had to go over seas to have that done.

A certain Family Guy clip springs to mind. :P

I read the following  article last night before the surgery news was released.  I now believe our #1 pick should go to IR if a vet.  WR is found.  He was problably misdiagnosed from the first…..

(First sensible thing I've heard from the media about the Ravens handling of our No.1 draft picks struggle to get on the field.. bad for the fans and bad for the Ravens reputation and bad for Breshad Perriman -)
