Perriman injury updates

545 posts in this topic

Wow. Anyone who's calling him a bust has lost it. He hasn't played a down. Guess Fowler and White are busts too. Smh.

Whenever I think this place can't get any more mind-bogglingly stupid it always manages to lower the bar again.

So if he comes back next year fully recovered and balls out - wasted pick still? And you know he's overrated based on what? The extensive film study you've done of him on an NFL film?

The blasted Jimmy Smith pick, such a waste. I mean he at least made it to the 1st play of the season before going down for the rest of the year, but still. So wasteful. Even when I consider that goal line stand to win the Super Bowl, and the phenomenal 2 years of play he's had since (aside from last week), when you factor in that rookie year all I can think is waste.

Now not saying Perriman will have the same impact since Jimmy has shown ability to play like a top 5 corner in this league and Perriman hasnt shown anything yet. But at the same respective points in their careers they had shown the same thing. Immense physical talent, but an injury that knocked them out of their rookie year.

GOT HIM

But he didnt tear anything. It's a sprain. So, maybe there was nothing to see, but sent him to Andrews to get a second opinion.

why does he need surgery on a sprain then?

Waiting for Perriman to get on the field is like waiting for the White Walkers or for Daenerys to go to Westeros in A Game of Thrones/ASOIAF. You keep hearing about how good they are going to be but you are still waiting for them to show up.

LOL! Let's just hope it doesnt take 5 seasons

Harbaugh: "Setback? I don't know what you're talking about."

Two days later the dude gets surgery.

What is the point of all this stupid secrecy? Or in this case outright LYING?

Perriman had surgery and is out indefinitely. What now at wide receiver?

Same as before I suppose: SSS and a bunch of other guys.

why does he need surgery on a sprain then?

Sprains are partial tears.

For more info, you can check out this article (which references Big Ben) by Dr. David Chao.

. A grade 2 sprain (partial tear) was reported along with a bone bruise.

FO gambled relying on this guy, thinking we could go into the year with just SSS and scrubs. They lost massively.

With a loss tonight I think things will get VERY ugly for Harbaugh and the rest of the team. 4-12, 5-11 at best.

And SSS isn't even in his prime anymore . Expect double teams from everyone for now on .

SSS deserved a lot better then this

SSS faded down the stretch last year, and that was WITH Torrey.

Expect him to be done by week 6. He should really be traded, very unfair for his career to end this way.

Wish there was a Vegas wager on this...

Perriman is probably done for the year .

Expect problems starting next year too for minicamps . Not kidding .just a hunch ,usually right

unlike Dr . McJacket who has been wrong about every major issue ( Ray Rice , New England pick losses

over Deflategate , etc ) on this forum .

I would not either , the Front Office needs to move on with other

receivers .

This whole injury thing is the most fishy injury I have ever seen .

And i hope I am terribly wrong

Are you guys trolling or serious? Its tragic but its a part of Football, it happens. I'm sure you won't call Kevin White or Dante Fowler busts would you?

If surgery means the young man will come back healthier and strong then great. Obviously the issue was serious enough to possibly require surgery but they wanted to give it a chance to just heal with rest. I'm glad he had the setback when he did because it required the doctors to finally say let's clean it up and do what's right for the player not the team.

Also it sounds like the surgery might speed up the recovery and he may be available at some point this season but I just want the young guy to be healthy.

I'm not sure if 3 games of the season verifies that they lost just yet. Maybe the only thing lost is some Ravens fans patiences. Rome wasn't built in a day some times stuff takes times. Who knows Aiken , Brown, Campanaro etc may turn it up

Honestly, he probably needed the surgery from the beginning, but everyone was seeing if they could get by without it. Kinda like what happened to the Bears and Kevin White.

Get with the program, you're supposed to be in meltdown and calling him a bust who'll never play a down in the NFL and the only taste he'll get of the professional game is with the Topane Arena Football team (assuming Topane's a real place...).

It's frustrating to see all these setbacks, but it pays to be patient with these guys early on, whether they're underwhelming with their play or they've been getting injured more than we'd like.

It is definitely fishy considering Harbaugh basically lied fom beginning saying he didn't know anything about the injury and that it was minor. Why didn't they have an MRI at the beginning.

I honestly believe this will be Harbaugh's last year. I think we clean house Oz, Harbaugh, Trestman and Pees are all gonna be outta here.
