Perriman injury updates

545 posts in this topic

i would IR-DTR him if possible, but only give him a chance to play if it is sparingly just so that he isnt missing football for an entire year, and only if he is absolutely 100% recovered. i am seriously disappointed but i still have hopes for the kid, i dont see any reason to think he is a bust because of this. for all we know he could be seeking a psychiatrist to deal with the stress of all this, but all of you wanna act like he injured himself on purpose and just wanted to collect a check and sit on the sidelines.

players get hurt, injuries happen, it is often out of anyones control, if he never plays a down then you can obviously call him a bust, but because he is gonna miss a large portion of his rookie year does not mean he is lazy, has no heart, has no talent, is soft, is a bust, it means none of the above, all it means is that he is injured. will he be a productive first round wr? that has yet to be seen, is there a chance he becomes a bust? absolutely, but that is the case with players who never miss a snap due to injury also.

stop acting like players are obligated to put their careers at risk by playing injured for YOUR satisfaction.

Not possible. Brent Urban is in that spot, and you can only have one.

Harbs should make it easy on his brain either IR the guy or reveal the injury with a realistic date of return.

I can't imagine how frustrated Perriman is. I don't know why people would call him a bust and injury prone, he didn't have injury problems in College. I honestly feel bad for the guy. He's very eager to go out there in preform but this injury is holding him back by a lot. I'm sure there is no fan, player, or coach that is more frustrated than Perriman. I know it sucks but you gotta move with it and hope for the best.

IIIIFFFFFFFFFF we win tonight, perhaps we see a trade. Still unlikely, but who knows.

If we lose, no trade and the season is over anyway!

Great rivalry for sure..... Now can someone tell me if what I just read on NFL website is true? Did Perriman have surgery to repair his PCL, and is out indefinitely ???

Its a PCL sprain people, not a tear. I believe he'll play this season. I never heard of anyone who had their season ended by a PCL sprain.

@Hardhitters, Totally agree. Harbs has turned this team especially defense from a swagger alpha male defense..to a beta male soft defense. And this franchise has taken to many steps back.

All the talk about living off Reed,Lewis,Ngata, etc is looking so dang TRUE!

Harbs better change his control philosophy...you dont win in the NFL without a pack of DOGS! There are no Dogs on this team, especially defense.. Like when Rex or Pagano was around...players loved to play for those guys...we had DOGs.. Who loved to fight..because you knew Rex or Pagano would suite up.

Harbs is exact opposite...just "A FACE"

people keep saying trade for a wr..

but how about this..

use this season to see what we really have in house, we know that brown and aiken is a failed experiment, we have learned this as a result of fielding them extensively, we can now(finally) move on from them as possible options at #2 or 3. lets sit kendrick lewis because he has been hot garbage, and put terrence brooks out there, lets put tray walker out there, lets put arthur brown out there, waller, etc. etc. and basically lets see what they got. if we continue to lose and this season ends up being a lost cause, we can still benefit greatly from it. we could let some rookies get valuable game reps, we will see who is wasting space on the roster, we can see who shows promise and who doesnt, we can experiment with the playbooks, we can discover a whole lot from this.

now if we somehow bang out a few wins over the next few weeks and things start looking up, then dont do this, but if our season ends up looking really ugly, let our young guys with all that fire and energy go out and strut their stuff, we may end up discovering a new cornerstone or at least an attractive piece of trade bait

Apparently he's a slow healer(as we've seen already). This is probably it for him.

I read an article that said this was his second surgery on the knee. And Harbaugh indicated the other day there was nothing new to report on the Perriman situation. SMH.

That's what is being reported on PFT.com

Lol its pretty ridiculous that coach is so predictable. I knew as soon as I heard him speak about this that Perriman was either headed for surgery or already had it. All this blah blah drama for nothing, trying to keep stuff a secret on a player that no team is or should be afraid of. Should have just called it how it is n leave it alone. Smh I said it....

I think you have to wait before you do that. I don't think you can tell your players to tank right now.

Well he is starting to look like a bust ,unfortunately.

Is this serious?

Kevin White - bust too.

Neither one is any good - I've seen them play in the NFL enough to know.

It's really weird though. I really would like to know the severity of Perrimans PCL sprain. Erick Decker had a PCL sprain against the Colts last week and missed the game against the Eagles but he's looking to return this week. Roughly a 2 week span and he practiced a week after the injury. I really am curious just how severe the injury was day 1 it occurred.

Dante Fowler must be a bust too.

Just heard perriman out for the rest of the season. What a bust. Wow

Injured = Bust?

Then Brent Urban. Bust.

Jimmy Smith=Bust (funny thing is there were those who actually said this... you probably among them)

Getting injured does not make you a bust. Some people shouldnt be entitled to share their opinions, I'm sorry.

Perriman had surgery and he is out indefinitely. My guess is he won't suit up for a single game this season. It sucks but we have to just get him ready for next season it looks like. Luckily it looks like we hit gems in the 2nd and 3rd round to help make up for his loss.

whatever guys..

i've moved on from him already..

he was an overrated prospect and a wasted pick.

time to make a trade for a proven WR. Yes a 2nd rounder will do for allshon

In general, I don't think anyone is more mad about Perriman not playing, as much as everyone is mad about the Ravens not releasing any information about the injury.

If right from the get go, they would have said he has a PCL sprain and could miss the first few weeks with them saying he aggravated it and needed surgery, the outcry would be far less than everyone hoping every week he gets better from an injury no one knows anything about or if its getting better or worse

Correct iluvpurple, that's why I'm mad we didn't sign Marshall when we could have.

you talking about brandon marshall?

im pretty sure he was never in FA so i dont really see how we could possibly signed him not to mention fit him under the cap....

It's only three games into the season. I don't think you can look at your players and tell them to tank right now.

that's not what he's saying.

He's saying bench the starters and give some of the other guys a shot to do better.
