Perriman injury updates

@RapSheet: #Ravens WR Breshad Perriman reinjured his PCL pregame on Sunday, source said. Dr. Andrews did the arthroscopic surgery. Out indefinitely

So they are saying he just had arthroscopic knee surgery this week? That is def. not good. How long would that keep him out now?!

Just shut him down. We can't rely on this guy. He's done for the season. Draft a #1 WR or trade for Alshon Jeffery.

Well several of my friends are already calling the Perriman pick a bust. That's a little premature but I have to say I'm a little concerned .

Safe to say several of your friends don't really understand how football works...

I saw this coming... What I don't understand is that the reports were that there wasn't any damage to the knee. So what on earth did they do surgery on?

And Harbaugh stated just yesterday or the day before that he had no idea that Perriman had a set back with his injury.

So the injury started out and he said it was day to day. Fast forward a month and a half. Still hurt. Now he doesn't even know the guy is hurt and he has to get knee surgery?!?

Does this guy have any clue what is going on?

The main reason I'm frustrated is just the lack of incompetence the FO, Coaches and team doctors showed during this whole ordeal. This has been the SHADIEST injury I've ever heard of. Remember guys "day-to-day".

This may be a blessing in disguise for him and the team.  This surgery should help his long term outlook and generally only takes guys 2-4 weeks to return.  With his condition though and rehab time who knows how long, but this should help his knee out for the future

Tough to say at this point. We've seen arthroscopic surgery rehab take a few weeks, others up to a year, depending on the nature.

Put it this way... we lose tonight, and I'd expect an IR designation immediately after that.

Wouldn't call it shady by any means.

Just not telling the public what they want to hear. That doesn't mean shady medical practices.

I doubt the quality medical staff that we have would allow him to just go run routes if he were truly injured at that time.

People re-injure themselves on an annual basis in this league, and this one appears to be no different.

Remember how late Odell came back? Look how that turned out. Hopefully Perriman can come back for this. Ravens invested high with him

SOB! I had a bad feeling about this. Perriman looking like a BUST! Ozzie obviously didnt do his homework. He did his homework on CJ Mosleys knees injuries etc, but didnt check into Perrimans knee history

Well, this sucks. Unfortunate, but stuff happens.

And NO, he is not a bust. He has an injury and hasn't played yet.

I really feel that we should peruse a trade right now, someone who can fill the void of a #2 WR until Perriman returns.

I mean, if he tore his ACL we wouldn't be calling him a bust.  But just very unfortunate.  The nature of this bizarre injury certainly doesn't give you a lot of hope though.

i would IR-DTR him if possible, but only give him a chance to play if it is sparingly just so that he isnt missing football for an entire year, and only if he is absolutely 100% recovered. i am seriously disappointed but i still have hopes for the kid, i dont see any reason to think he is a bust because of this. for all we know he could be seeking a psychiatrist to deal with the stress of all this, but all of you wanna act like he injured himself on purpose and just wanted to collect a check and sit on the sidelines.

players get hurt, injuries happen, it is often out of anyones control, if he never plays a down then you can obviously call him a bust, but because he is gonna miss a large portion of his rookie year does not mean he is lazy, has no heart, has no talent, is soft, is a bust, it means none of the above, all it means is that he is injured. will he be a productive first round wr? that has yet to be seen, is there a chance he becomes a bust? absolutely, but that is the case with players who never miss a snap due to injury also.

stop acting like players are obligated to put their careers at risk by playing injured for YOUR satisfaction.

According to you they haven't. They're calling a guy they've never seen play before a bust.

I've heard all I need...
