[News] John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin Have Elevated Rivalry

24 posts in this topic

If Tomlin "accidently" steps on the field again interfering with the play, just run him over this time. Tomlin and Ben can get matching crutches.

This this WHY... You cant keep letting OFFENSIVE Gamechangers WALK!!!! OZZIE! Torrey,Boldin,Jacoby..enough..between Hsrbaugh egomaniacal attitude zapping the swagger from our defense because hes a control freak, and not bringing back vocal leaders like boldin, pollard etc... We have went backwards ten steps as a franchise. I blame both Harbs and Ozzie.

I'm really starting to dislike Harbaugh, think of every alpha we had and see how Harbaugh sent him packing, Derrick mason, Boldin, Reed, Pollard, not the big contract guys but the speak their minds guys, we didn't bring in speak their mind guys besides Steve Smith and Harbaugh told him to think hard about returning this year, because he's alpha. We could of had Steve Smith and Brandon Marshall

Just starting?.....our team is so predictable and lackluster its just time for a change......Like when Billick fell from grace....we loved him and were glad for what he accomplished.....But he had to go....Change is always good....Our players just seem like they are done with our coach.....

Bell's right, the records go out the window once the game starts. I've read and heard about all I can take with the respect our record. Game time ? I can't freaking wait !

Bernard Pollard is not on this team no more beside we have a kinder  gentler more respectful clueless team.

Stay on topic? Ravens corners can't cover, can't sack QB, get tired in the 4th, Joe throws ball only few receivers can catch, no returner, and Pitts is going to make it 0-4 anything I forgot? O yea and were back to NOT able to run the ball.

Man I really hope that when we do turn this thing around, the fair-weather fans on this site hold themselves accountable for all the hate. When has this team EVER been darlings of the NFL who effortlessly run through the league? Once, we went 13-3 and lost in the first round to the Colts. This team is always had to push through adversity and is usually at its best when it does.

I'm not even trying to be positivity boy, but are we really quitting on the team after 3 weeks?

My prediction: The defense finds its identity tonight. Go Ravens.

I was just trying to find an answer for this situation with Perriman that I couldn't find anywhere else, but thank you for your answer that lead me nowhere..... :)

Sorry, nobody had any real info at that point.

The admins just posted an article on the front page

http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Report-Breshad-Perriman-Out-Indefinitely-After-Knee-Surgery/4e612787-00a6-4269-9324-271e54d4fac0

We try not to post any updates before they're official - you'd be amazed at the amount of mis-information out there - but steer the conversations to the Forums, where lots of more in-depth conversations happen, and updates from outside sources can usually be found before the team announcements. The info you were looking for was in the last page of that topic (in the forums posts go from oldest to most recent, opposite from what you're used to in the blogs on the home page).

Definitely worth checking out :)

Why was Harbaugh cussing out Eagles head coach during preseason-standing up for something, same reason players like Marshall, Boldin, Mason, Reed and Pollard speak up. The only thing is Harbaugh lied and say he didn't say anything to the coach which we all saw. So do we have a no nonsense lying coach as well. Somethings I really like about him (like screaming Run, Run during the game) and things as I just described I don't like. This been an issue all along but when you're team is held up by the players you get the shine, when it falls apart we say oooooh. Still things I like and things I don't like.

I think Joe will need to connect for two TD's. I hope he throws both into the EZ from the red zone just so I can see his bullet arm slice and dice the Steelers. The RBs will score one TD. Justin two three pointers. Anyway 27-24.Good luck.

Elevated? It cannot get any more elevated since 1996 when both teams played smash mouth divisional football and split the series with the same exact scores of 31-17. Tomlin and Harbaugh have raised it? Have we forgotten all those fights during the Bettis/R.Lewis days? Have we forgotten Jamal Lewis jawing with the Steelers defense? Ray Lewis and the Bus jawing at each other heatedly nearly every time they tangle? How about one of the best defenses in NFL history, the 2000 Ravens defense who played pure smash mouth football against the Steelers? Hard hits from Polamalu and Reed? Plenty of fights before Tomlin and Harbaugh came along, they just joined the party is all. The Ravens offensive line never hesitating getting into several fights with Steelers defense since 1996 on a long list of hard hits, fights and heatedly jawing at each other. Elevated by head coaches? It can't get any more nastier than Ray Lewis and the Bus going hard at each other or Jamal Lewis gladly driving his body into Steelers defenses. Those were elevated days that cannot be topped. The players keep the tradition going that started since 1996 by the fans reminding them not to forget tradition.

Dion says"THE DEFENSE Constitutes the Rivalry", and as such "THE DEFENSE propels you to a Super Bowl", who will be the next Raven Player on Defense to Carry the Torch?
