[News] Who's Playing, Who's Not At Steelers

Yeah we've known that. Problem is a 23 year old professional athlete isn't an adolescent.

Right. According to all the info I've read, you grow out of that sometime in the teens, like an

ear infection. This is something different. I doubt we'll hear the truth though.

Here's how we dig out....forget about the 0-3 start. Here's what we need to do: - Win tomorrow at Pitts (1-3) - get the confidence going. -Hone cooking and a home win against the Brownies (2-3) - Travel out to SF and whip them - Super Bowl redux and suddenly we're back at .500 (3-3) For those rolling your eyes, stick with me. - Let's say for sake of argument, Arizona eek out a win and we drop a tough road game (3-4) - We come back to San Diego and home cooking again - we win (4-4) - Jags at home? (5-4) - Rame at home? (6-4) Now we're rolling.... - Road win at the Brownies next brings us up to (7-4) - Another road game at Miami...when is the last time they beat us? Exactly - we win (8-4) Sets us up nicely for the next 3 at home ...Seattle at home, Chiefs at home, Squeelers at home.... Let's start with the W tomorrow and build from there.

Love your optimism, but what are you smoking?

What exactly is wrong with Gilmore, I did not hear about his injury.

I have yet to hear any details coming from the team or media. I have no idea how serious it is and I am also curious. "Calf injury" doesn't tell us how long Gillmore will be out. Anyone who hears more, please post. Status could be a "highly guarded state secret on a need to know basis" for those with top clearance only so the fact that no details have come out appears to be just for a strategic advantage. I know Canty had a calf injury and he has been out also and will be out this week too.

Gilmore being out hurts. Monroe being out is nothing new. It seems like he's always out. And Perriman being out is just making me angrier and angrier. And it's not directed at Perriman. Injuries happen and the guy is, obviously, hurt. My anger is directed towards Harbaugh. I think that there can only be one of two things going on here. Either Harbaugh is just looking us all in the eye and flat out lying to us. Or, he's not doing his job. He keeps telling us that he doesn't know anything about Perriman. Doesn't have a timetable for his return. Doesn't have any particulars about the injury. Doesn't know if Perriman suffered a set-back. Doesn't know anything. Yeah, right! I mean, c'mon, Perriman is his team's 1st rd draft choice, plays a skilled position that is sorely needed by his team, and possibly has unlimited potential. If he Really doesn't know anything about this, why not? I can't believe that he hasn't talked to the trainers and doctors about what's going on with Perriman. But, if he hasn't done that, then he's not doing his job. Harbaugh has always been one of those coaches that didn't want to advertise to his opponent the extent of a player's injury and tries to keep the player's game status as much of a secret as he can. But this is bordering on the ridiculous by now. I think he owes the fans of the Ravens better than this. We deserve the truth. I just cannot bring myself to believe that Harbaugh is as much in the dark about this as he claims and, again, if he is then I suggest to you that he isn't doing his job. You know, Harbs, nobody likes to be lied to. I'd rather he just say that he doesn't want to tell what he knows. But I DO want our HC to be on top of this, not in the dark, like he's keeping us.

Here's hoping for a BIG W. The best matchup will be the Ravens vs themselves.

I am tired of beating a dead horse (re Flacco)....maybe just tired of being tired. Hell, I'm nearly out of Maalox- ALREADY. Just do whatever it takes to win- against Pittsburgh.

PLAY- and PRAY, LIKE A RAVEN !

The Ravens showed me alot vs the bungles and against the broncos! Not coming home hurt them against the raiders so I'm more than "CONFIDENT" the Ravens will bounce back and play Raven football! "Patience Grasshopper" to all!

I could've sworn players only needed to sit out one game for suffering a concussion.

Not all concussions are created equal. Some very mild ones allow a player to return after a week. Some could leave a player out for half a season or more.

My boss had a concussion that required him to be out for months ... and he doesn't play a violent sport for a living ... they required he have brain rest - that is, not even get engaged in tasks that required serious concentration and thinking. Wore light blocking protective glasses the entire time. I can really be a serious thing, if the concussion is bad enough.

The idea that people are questioning his toughness over this is ridiculous. I know that some of the questioning is based on his having missed time in the past for other things, but for this - people need to lighten up.

Monroe is a complete waste. Jeez. I hope Hurst can hold down the fort over the course of the season, because even if Monroe returns, he'll leave the game within a series or two with some bogus injury.

O yea and Eugene Monroe has been a complete waste of money the guy can't stay healthy and when he was in there he was getting beat.

It is always the same weak wimpy crew ruled out. Thank God this new generation was not around during the1940s or we would be speaking German now. Seems like the Ravens are throwing this year away. They talk a player up or they do good in one game then their no longer playing the following week.

So was Webb all those year. I'm starting to think Ozzie has run his course. His way doesn't work with this generation.

RAVENS don't need a WR as much as they need a pass rusher, cornerbacks, safty,or a big runningback. By the time Perriwomen gets in a game it will not matter. Ozzie has one pro bowlplayer in 7 years.

Someone didn't do their homework when scouting Perriman. I hope this isn't the second coming of Sergio Kindle.

How can you compare a bone bruise/sprained knee to a guy who fell down a flight of stairs and permanently lost his sense of balance.

We never even got to see if Kindle's microfracture surgery was an issue, if that's what you're going for, and even that condition is not even comparable to a temporary malady like a knee sprain.

Just ridiculous.

depends on how many they have gotten at that point and how big the risk if for getting another one.

welker missed quite a few games due to a concussion and  he has a hard time finding a team due to the risk of him getting another one.

Are there any medical professionals in here? Maybe someone could share some light if it's normal for a person with concussion not be able to play for 3 weeks?

We have had the strangest injuries this season, and regular injuries lasting forever. What's up with that? Medical personnel of this team has changed or what??

Man im soo frustrated with them talking about perriman. Seriously think what it is like being a ravens fan. We never ever do things the easy way. Making playoffs winning superbowl etc....normaly a team drafts someone first round and they play. We draft them and something stupid happens. Every every games seems to go down to the wire (no blowouts) Even the dang superbowl. Lights action last mintute play we win. Stressful! Remember the patriots games.stressful. Man the pats fans have it easy compared to our stress levels as fans...anyway perriman is hurt that is how it is. We are human. But man wouldn't it be cool to blowout the steelers tonite.heres how i see the rest of the season going. 10-6 playoffs then we will see. Gooo ravens...

As much as Ravens nation negs anyone that doesn't scream "In O we Trust", the facts are the facts. Is it really the coaches fault or is it a lack of talent provided. This team fight, plays hard, keeps , games close but the final moments of games are usually determine by players who can make plays. Ravens don't have enough of them to close the deal.

those players usually cost alot.

due to the cap its not possible to have a stacked team.

Hey, I want to start a new spin.  What if we win and then win 7 in a row and we do it with a Ravens D, a masterful run and short pass game and take every game in the 4th QQQQ.  Nice to be positive in this tsunami of Baltimore sports .

Good draft picks and finding others players you can stack. Lately Ozzie has lost it.

watching the other video on def working buts off....Pees says that its not that we were playing man or zone! He is right..its about when we were playing man or zone and hes responsible for that!Pees hasnt taken any ownership for the play of the defense and continues to place blame and point fingers and that is why things continue to deterioate under his watch! The only one we need to deactivate is pees!
