Joe Flacco is the Steeler killer

20 posts in this topic

Joe flacco is 6-3 against the pittsburgh steelers since 2011, he has had great moments, including this classic 2011 game winning drive against them. He will win us this game.

Needed its own thread?

why not? I'm particularly tired of seeing all the negative posts. This is kind of refreshing . At 0-3 this board needs a little reminder of who we are every now and then.

instead of downing flacco for a few misthrows when he has clearly had us in positions to win only to be let down by the defense like always... how about we say something positive for once. lets be happy with our qb who has turned our team into a juggernaut.

lets face it, if there is any player that is gonna turn this team around, its flacco, and at one point this season, he WILL turn it around. we've been down this road before.

In before the merge/lock.

This game is, obviously, crucial to us staying afloat. We could definitely spark a run of 3-5 wins before the bye if we step up in Pitt. It all rests in Flacco, it seems, unless the defense or someone in the running game shows up out of nowhere.

Joe flacco is a blessing to this team, lets hope our 4 star general can lead us out of this.

I hope you're right.

Joe seems to like to have one brain lapse a game and I hope it happens at the right time on Thursday.

That game is one of my favorite memories in this awesome rivalry; not only did they march into Pittsburgh to steal the win at the end, but also they managed to sweep them for just the second time in Ravens history. Steeler "killer" might be a bit far, but Flacco does generally play well against them. I really believe we can win on Thursday, but Flacco better not be the only player doing his part.

Dude tore them to shreds the last five years, oh yeah he is a steeler killer, as evidenced by the playoff game

The only thing about that game that mad me angry is the fact I had free tickets but didn't go because I didn't want to have to drive back from Pittsburgh afterwards since I had to be at work at 6am.

He didn't exactly tear them to shreds in the 2012 and 2013 seasons; the only really good game he had in those two years was the Thanksgiving one. Also he was far from stellar in the divisional playoff game back in 2011; you did say the last five years. He played really well in the last playoff game, and he does play pretty well against them usually.

2011, 1st game of 14 and playoffs he had real good games.

As for the person saying he had us in position. Didn't offense have the ball last and we failed to score? That loss is on the offense, judging by most people's standards around here.

That was great to watch again!  And as an aside.....2 huge drops in that drive that could killed us - and the Joe haters would have started in about how he can win late!  : )

Thanks for posting this.....I am FIRED UP for tomorrow night!

This is the classic thread that gets bumped ironically after a loss. You've been warned.

Yup. Sami couldn't wait til the threads were unlocked after the Raiders game.

Refreshing reminder of how great it feels to see us march down the field and watch Joe take command with the winning touchdown. Just hope Joe does this again leaving no time left on the clock tomorrow (since I don't trust the D like I used to). Joe is not intimidated by the Steelers and I think Joe will get a good amount of points scored. The defense needs to hold up its end of the deal. And we cannot afford stupid penalties either.

A lot of bad snaps there. Puts things in perspective to think that little things were so close to costing us. That's how it always is in our games. Which way do the little things go?
