I am in Baltimore visiting family this week. I go home tomorrow but I brought all my Ravens' gameday gear down for a re-charge of its mojo. Figure being in Steeler country this long it got contaminated. Hope it helps!

Hope the Ravens dig deep to play inspired, smart and intense. If so, they can win this rivalry game. A win will go a long way restore player confidence and provide added motivation to keep fighting 1 game at a time for the rest of the season. Counting on the coaches and vets to get our guys to dial it up and play with the fire this rivalry is famous for.

I don't see the defense doing well, but I would hope our offense can outscore the Steelers with Vick in there. I really don't want a repeat of what happened with Batch.

Just saw Crocket was out. Had no idea he was even injured....

Not confident in this one. Steelers offense scares the crap out of me. Back is against the wall, great teams win this. Let's see what we're made of.

Please win.

Reverse jinx: Flacco will throw for 6 INTS and we lose 48-6.

I don't think reverse jinxes work if you say in the post that it is a reverse jinx

People will think I'm dead serious with my post. Happened before. And clearly the pool pics haven't been working their magic so why not try to do some different?

Yeah that is true, sarcasm is very hard to convey through text

I'd love to see us score on the first drive. I know that's madness, but a touchdown to start would be so nice.

Injuries are so freaking annoying

Ya I know. The brain and eye injuries I've recieved from reading some of the posts here cause headaches that don't seem to leave. If only the ravens could get healthy ;)

How in the world are we going to stop Antonio Brown, with or without Big Ben?

The good thing is that there's really no pressure tonight, unlike most games v. the Steelers. If we lose, well, who didn't see it coming? If we win, gravy, and we'd only be 1 behind the Steelers with half a tiebreaker.

Vick cannot take advantage of the speed at WR the Steelers have, so that lessens Brown's threat. But Bell is back and Williams did well while he was out too. Defense has to at least stop the run.

It's on the offense to win us this game IMO. We need TDs and looooonnng scoring drives that keep our ineffective defense off the field as much as possible. Of course, with no run game to speak of the loooonnng becomes difficult. So just score every time offense and make them TDs.

I've no desire to pick this game. I don't know how you could pick against PIT, if Ben were in. Even when he's out (and even when the Ravens have been playing well), games vs. PIT more often than not are competitive.

Given the circumstances - our currently level of play and Ben's injury, I don't know how to call this. I'd say the level of our desperation may give us an edge, but we had that advantage last week - at home - and it didn't carry us through.

C'mon guys, get that zero out of the win column ... PLEASE!

Absolutely ... job #1 is stopping the run. If we can't do that, we're in big trouble. However, I don't see that being the issue. Williams the the run D have been decent so far. Yes, the Raiders got good YPC ... because they seemed relatively disinterested in running the ball since they seemed to know they could shred us through the air. Their run plays were change of pace and were therefore effective.

I have to wonder if PIT is going to go the same route. Teams have to look at us and say "they can't get pressure the QB and they can't cover. Hmm... what shall we do?". However, with Vick being at QB and with a weapon like Bell, Tomlin may be reluctant to be slinging the ball all over.

Vick is something of a wildcard. Is he a drop off from Ben? Yeah, a massive drop off. But let's not think he isn't a pro QB. He has lots of experience - big game experience. While we haven't seen him in a while, I have a feeling he still can hurt you with this feet and given our pass rush is in such a struggle, it can be easy to see us get out of position try to get penetration and he could hurt us there.

I think last Sunday was his first for the season.

Correct. I should just retire though. 2012 was great. Cant repeat that effort.

No lofty expectations for tonight but man, this would take a bit of the bad taste out of my mouth with a win.

GO RAVENS!!!!!
