Could the Ravens be considering a trade for (insert WR here)?

You know, I'd hate to beat a dead horse but what about Boldin? He's going to be a free agent and things aren't going right for San Fran, they look like a team on the cups of rebuilding. I wouldn't mind if we went after him.

Salary cap.

Uh oh...

Seeing him and Steve on the same team though would be fun. We for damn sure wouldn't lack energy.

I would like to see us trade for Eddie Royal at least. I think he'd be a good downfield threat. He shouldn't cost us much, either. He hasn't done much this year, but he was pretty effective last year.

I'd sign off on that.

That said I don't think it's very important priority to win this year. More for next year. This year the most important thing is to get the Oline to play the cohesive and clean ball they were playing last year.

Am I the only one who thinks we might be about 6 hours away from being a team that sells players instead of buys players?

I can't help but wonder why a lot of fans on here are asking us to trade for somebody as if we are 3-0 with SB aspirations and are one player away from winning it?

I mean you guys do realize that we could trade for a WR and still very easily not make the playoffs right?

Wr is far from the biggest issue this year. A player like Royal could be important for next year or if another player of similar ilk becomes available. Not sell the farm but if a good opportunity presents itself take it.

Cool, just saying I'm not sure we're really the kind of team that's looking to add players via draft picks at this point.

The only person on this team I'd truly trade is Pitta. May be an unpopular onion because of him and Flacco's friendship but if Maxx blows up today, we'll have two good young TEs that are only going to get better.

SSR.. Yeah. I'd do it if we had no chance come the bye.

I would like Royal. He's a good slot WR when he has a good QB.

What team on the planet would trade for a TE with that contract who quite possibly may never play football again?

I'm pretty sure in order to be traded you actually have to pass a physical as well, and I'm not even sure he could do that.

A dumb one. Which there are a few of them out there. We might get him back. Who knows? If so, I'd trade him, just not rn

Does the recent win mean there's still a purpose in the trade?

If Smith Sr. is out for a few games, then there would be a possibility of it.

Given how difficult it was to move the ball without Steve Smith Sr. even while the running game was effective, it certainly wouldn't be closer to ruling it out. Our defense had to pitch a shut out for numerous consecutive drives just for our offense to pick up over a handful of points.

Plus it's not like we won't have the cap space moving forward to re-sign him. We have a lot of cap next year, so we'll be able to sign him to a long term deal. Just gotta hope Chicago isn't asking for a first, I'd send a second and a couple extra picks to Chicago for him. Lock him up, that way we can still tag Yanda before FA.

It's clear these guys just aren't that good. Brown is just not that good. I have to say, I think Aiken is a bit better, but I think they're both identical and run hot and cold game-to-game. One seems to have a good game, and then the other sucks, & they alternate like this. It's maddening.

Campanaro was looking like he was getting some confidence and then he's carted off the field. We really can't afford that, especially since he's our returner. I think we really need to hammer out a trade now, although I can't see a WR coming in day 1 and playing against the Browns unless he comes here tomorrow. We do have extra time, so that's a boon for us, and it is at home. Jeffery would be an ideal get since he's already somewhat familiar with the system & the OC, but I'd settle for Royal if we can afford his salary. Maybe the Bears shave some off for us. I don't know.

Can't disagree on any accounts, and the injuries to Smith Sr. and Campanaro could add a sense of urgency. I would absolutely love to have Jeffrey though I'm still skeptical that the Bears would consider moving him. Never know though I guess.

I'll send your resume to Ozzie tonight. I think you can swindle them into a deal. Lol. I mean, I think you can convince them it would be mutually beneficial.

Well they still owe us a 4th from a couple drafts ago so they give us Jeffery, and it's even.

Do it. Truth is a master negotiator. He should be a lawyer. He'd make millions

If Truth is helping the Ravens negotiate I want us to make a run at Marcel Dareus. :P

If Truth is helping the Ravens negotiate I want us to make a run at JJ Watt :P

Fixed.. But

Rick Smith: Well I don't know. He is my best dlinemen. Maybe the best player in the league.

Truth: Yes, and he doesn't seem to be enjoying that Clowney guy. He went number one overall, while Watt was ONLY a top 15 ish pick. That Clowney guy will sell you a lot more jerseys.

Rick Smith: Yes. True. I would make more money.

Truth: I would give you my second round pick. This is a win-win scenario because we usually find superstars with our second rounder. Just look at Ray Rice. He was an elite RB for several years. With Ozzie Newsome's blessing you're guarenteed to successfully draft with this pick. I get a defensive player who according to PFF is slightly overrated. The rookie Timmy Jernigan was up there with him. Which means Watt is overrated.

Rick Smith: I guess he is overrated.

Truth: Not to mention. The Ravens have a great history with making your ex players look good. The profits of the Watt jersey's will skyrocket. And you making more money means more decisions(even though this isn't baseball). The fans will be mad but you could afford an all around better team.

Rick Smith: I'll take it.

Ozzie Newsome: *derp face*

I don't understand what makes everyone think alshon Jeffrey is in play all of a sudden because the bears got rid of an aging pass rusher who didn't fit their scheme, and not take a loss on him

This is pretty much wishful thinking on the part of over zealous ravens fans

The bears drafted K. White not to replace Jeffery, but to have 2 quality young WR, i doubt they plan on trading either one. Not to mention there is some bad blood between the ravens and the bears, as result of the draft day trade mix up.

frankly if anyone here really wants an honest shot of making the playoffs you have to pull off this trade.

camp is likely out for the season and thats a big deal.

steve smith is likely out for a game and we cannot keep him at the same workload at this stage of his career

perriman will be blessing himself until next year before he touches the field ( even if he played in the last few games i don't think he would be effective)

this is a no brainer. 2nd round pick plus a later round.

We don't know on Camp and Smith likely won't miss any playing time. But keep spewing your garbage posts.
