[News] Who's Practicing, Who's Not at Steelers

It's not time to panic yet. The chances are every team will lose at least 3 games. The ravens were in all 3 and could of won all 3. But they lost and the reason is pretty clear. the D can't stop late drives to win games. Pees needs to be more aggressive and stop playing the cb's 10 yards off the line on a 3rd and 5 for Gods sake. Everyone watching knew where that ball was going with that formation and the way they receivers were covered.

I hear the Bears have a fire sale going on. Wonder what the asking price for Alshon Jeffery would be.

Even as a fan I'm not frustrated anymore, I'm flat out pissed and angry. So I can't imagine what the players must be feeling when they look at the stats, look at the results, look at their performances, and look at the game tape and realize that they have been humiliated in front of national audiences for 6 weeks, are among the dead last teams and are the laughing stock of the entire football community.

That's why I don't even care so much about the result of the Steelers game, I just want to see them play angry. I want to see them care about the situation we are in. I want them to play like the Steelers just spat in their mothers' faces and hit their fathers over the head with a 2x4. I want them to hurt the Steelers, I want them to play ferocious, I want them to tear Steelers team to pieces! I want every last one of them to play with a hunger, because so far only SSS has done that.

I wouldn't care if we get called 8 personal foul penalties by the middle of the first quarter, I just want them to show to every team in the NFL that even if we'll be 0-6, they must be terrified of us! Opposing players must know that they might win the game against us, but they'll lose their arm, their leg, probably their head and maybe half their liver in the process. So even if we go 0-16, no one would dare to ridicule us. That is what I want to see, because I'm not frustrated anymore. I'm steaming mad and I don't want to see the Ravens become irrelevant opponent in the schedule to other teams

A lotta fans are mad that perriman is still injured but it's not his fault he got injured. We have to wait till he's fully healed so he can come back period. At least he has a chance to come back he could've tore his acl an been out for the year like some other rookies did this year. Some fans comments on here are ridiculous.

My beef with the front office is I felt they didn't add another speedster or playmaker to the offense at wr. They added multiple te an that was kool but for them to think Steve smith is not going to wear down because he is 36 an to think perriman is all we needed blows my mind. I think we should've kept Jacoby jones because he wasn't expensive an we didn't save much money by cutting him. At least we new that jones could beat you deep an him an joe had chemistry. So what he had a bad year but players other than him had bad years as well.

Flacco is a play action deep ball thrower that needs a running game an that's it. It is what it is an he needs weapons around him to make him look good. Our front office has let all of his weapons walk out of the last couple of years an haven't replaced them. They draft Waller in the six round an he has all the measurables but you can't much out of him this year or maybe you can't expect anything at all. Campanaro looks like he will be a good but they don't use him enough an you hope he can make it threw a full season healthy. The other wr are possession guys at best with no speed.

It's time the ravens add some real talent at the skill positions!!

Out of all the rants on here, this is the one that I can best identify with. No point pointing fingers at Perriman, you can't predict an injury and he can't make it magically better, even though I'm sure he'd want to.

Oh, how I do miss Jacoby Jones! Even for the special teams.

That's true, except, doing so right at the start leaves Ravens very little margin for error down the line. If we won every single game from now on, which is highly unlikely the way things are going, we would be 13-3, which is pretty safe. However, we still play Steelers twice, Cinci away, Browns twice (they can suck against anyone else, but they always bring their best game to games against Baltimore) and some other teams too, not all of whom are easy prey. Ravens need to do a 180 right now, and I'm not sure how much can change on a short week.

Go hard or go home.

There literally has to be a speedster out there we can trade for ASAP! We need to stop wasting precious time waiting on peeriman and get someone in the mean time to stretch the field

Perriman is not going to save the schedule and be of any significant help to the team. He is and will be for some time a large question mark. Speed is one thing , but he needs to have the hands that are needed to catch and hold onto the ball. We don't know how he is going to workout until he gets some playing time. Meanwhile, we have a secondary that is flat out terrible and we hear that the reason for that is a lack of leadership. That is BS and we all know that. They are not in position most of the time and they are definitely not aggressive enough with receivers. Bottom line is everyone is screaming for Perriman. To think that this one unproven player will save the day is just plain nuts. I see another Travis Taylor in the making with this guy. The team has to pull together and stop reading and believing the predictions. You cannot win football games on paper. You have to play smart error free football to win. Plain and simple. They show up, but they are not playing Raven football. A 7-9 season is not so unlikely any more as I see it.

Ravens could use a WR/KR with speed, and should even accept one with questionable skills as a WR. Deonte Thompson, Hayward Bey, and even Jacoby Jones all fit the mold and were available last offseason. Cindy has a sale of taller receivers with speed, and Pittsburgh has four WRs who are burners. Just need to have the threat of a deep ball (and a QB who won't under-throw them).

The ravens can beat the Steelers because Ben is out and we lost the last three games by a grand total of 14 points. But we have to play angry. We have to want it. Other than SSS, Gilmore, Will Hill, and Brandon Williams, I see no spirit on this team. Instead of expecting to win, they expect to lose, and so they do. Harbs and coaches, this is on you too.

Cmon Perriman... even a dozen plays could make a difference. Lets just get him on the field even if he is only 80 pct.... I think Perriman at 80% has to be more of a threat then Marlon and Kamar at 100%

He, NE has no 'burner' and they are blowing out teams without one. Coaching, coaching, coaching......and a desire to win every game!

Its time we make a trade to get a wide receiver now! Hell why not give up a 5th or 6th to SF and bring  Anquan Boldin back. Even at his age he is better than Brown and Aiken.

The Ravens organization may be bad at drafting #1 WR or just never have luck at finding WR. I can't wrap my mind around how we can never find a gem at this position? We've missed the mark in our 20 years as an organization.

I wish Perriman a speedy recovery. I hope Jason Babin gets to be active this week. Im also wondering if Ozzie is looking for any trades, or to pick up a veteran receiver? Who'd yall like to trade for, if possibility makes sense?

My vote = Emmanuel Sanders(highly unlikely)

Let's get Babin activated - he may not be the answer, but he sure can't hurt. We need all the help we can get right now and some outside energy might do the trick to help others. The team needs a boost in that internal driving enthusiasm - like the year we won the super bowl - GO RAVENS.

I respectfully disagree.  I think we had a very tough schedule which I think most people felt we would be ok if we came out 1-2 in the first three games.  We came out 0-3.  We were in every game regardless of personnel, we racked up some offense after week 1, the defense held at times, these are all building blocks as preseason and training camp are a joke anymore.  Look at what GB did last year to start the season and then came back.  I am not ready to throw in the towel.  The coaches are working hard trying to get plays that work well with our depleted WR corps and O-line, we are working to find a balance between blitz and cover since we don't have a strong pass rush, these things will develop.  The Ravens have always been late season bloomers and are ready to go come playoff time.  If we get this win in Pittsburgh, which is not only possible, but probable, then that boost will carry us through the next couple games.  Thursday cant get here soon enough for me so that we can silence the critics within our own ranks and then start silencing the ones in the media.

Words are not available to describe the disappointment about Perriman's injury. We had every reason to believe that his return could be a week or two away but, now, who knows if he's going to show up at all. This is the most perplexing injury I can remember or think of. The initial diagnosis of a bruise didn't help. That's for sure. And then all the secrecy, which I believe was deliberate, compounded the problem. I just find it hard to believe that John Harbaugh, the HC of this team, didn't just walk into the trainer's room, demand to talk to the doctors And trainers, and get better answers and information than what he's telling people. Harbaugh has always favored keeping opponents guessing as much as he could about who might be playing and the severity of his players' injuries, so I have to believe that he knows more than he's saying. All these things like, "I don't know, they're not sure when he'll be ready, they're not saying." I just don't believe any of that. These doctors are some of the best, and there are, also, these things called "second opinions". I mean, the doctors have multiple MRIs, daily examinations, and more. I think they knew from day one that they were not looking at a bone bruise. I realize that everybody's different in the healing process, but none of these football injuries are something that these doctors haven't seen countless times. The healing and rehab times are known to some degree. Sure, they vary a bit, but it's been, what, about 8 weeks now? How about an HONEST answer about Perriman's injury and situation. Harbs, I think that it's past time. Don't you feel like you owe fans at least some honesty? The fans support this team mightily. You may disagree, Harbs, but I think that you Do owe us an Honest assessment of where Perriman't at in his rehab of his REAL injury. No more smoke-screens, huh?

If Perriman need surgery they should get with the program so he will completely recovered for next season, not this week to week stuff.

They have Gronk...  Take him out of the game and they don't have much.

There's a lot of talk on here about the need for us to trade for a good veteran wr. I agree that it would be a great move, but it's almost certainly an unlikely one. I wouldn't welcome another of Ozzie's patented moves like some he's made in the past, picking up guys who were ready, or nearly so, for the trash heap. The only way I would be for a trade to bolster our receiving corps would be to pick up a proven, productive, #2 or better wr. And think about that for a second. One, I just can't see Ozzie doing that because he seems to refuse giving away anything but a 6th or 7th rd draft choice. One exception was a 5th, I believe it was for Monroe but, of course, that wasn't for a wr. To get what we Really need is going to take Much more than a 6th or 7th. And besides Ozzie's reluctance, I seriously doubt that there's any teams out there who would be willing to trade away that kind of talent. I don't want to see him make a trade for an over the hill guy, or a guy who's Nearly over the hill, or maybe not even any better than what we've got. The only trade I would be excited about is one that I just can't see happening because of both Ozzie's and the other teams' reluctance. Maybe Ozzie can pull off a miracle, who knows? But I think it highly unlikely.
