lol yeah just caught that. That wouldn't make much sense now would it

Yeah they would just be receptions by the O-line(and they would have to be eligible or it is a penalty). Or you could sub O-linemen in on defense, maybe that is why we can't get any turnovers.

Jalen ramsey is the S to want...He's a top 10 talent and I'm not a massive fan of safetys going top 10 unless they're ed reed. I'll take a higher position of value thanks, CB is  a need but not worth a top 10 pick cause of Webb,Smith etc. 2nd round yes. first no

The Ravens are moving Webb to safety which is actually the position he played in college. He might look undersized for the position but while he might be a little too slow for a corner now after his numerous leg issues, he's still quick for a safety. He's a very good tackler and he has pretty good hands. I think he'd be a great CF roamer type and hopefully playing back from the line of scrimmage helps him stay healthy. So if there is a stud, sure fire CB available in the first round I say we take him. You can't count on Smith being healthy and Webb also has had health issues. The rest of the guys on the team aren't very promising.

Webb apparently doesn't want to play FS full time and still thinks he can be a CB. It's not always as simple as "we pay you and you'll play FS" because you can't really make him do it if he doesn't want to do it. You'll either get sabotage, sedition, or he'll want to go elsewhere.

hopefully he's more of a team player than that. Webb doesn't come off as that selfish but you never know I guess.

I'm a bit biased against Webb. I've always liked him as a player, but a (sorta) friend of mine killed himself. While I'm not blaming Webb per se, because that's ridiculous, I will say that the reason he gave was because of his debts. He owned a business and people just didn't pay him for his services. I'm not sure why, honestly. I do know that shortly before he did it, he told me even Webb stiffed him for a $1000. That changed my opinion on Webb to an extent, since this happened shortly after he got paid.

I should have known this... But, Kendall Fuller had torn his meniscus in August of this year, meaning he played three games on a torn meniscus before shutting it down. That makes me value his 2014 tape even more, which shows a first round talent.

Gotta admire his desire to play through pain. #Warrior

Apparently Beamer said he wanted to keep playing, but was advised it'd be in his best interest to not keep playing

I hope Desmond King from Iowa declares. He looks like a gritty CB with ball skills, and he actually turns to play the ball, which is like half the battle /w these young CBs.

How many games and which games have you watched of his? All his games I watched this year he failed to turn to the ball. Not asking rhetorically. Edited by GrimCoconut

I was watching the Nebraska game. Thought he got a nice deflection on one play.

He is leading the nation in interceptions with 8 right now. I haven't watched a ton of his tape and I am not saying you are wrong with your analysis, but it seems on the surface level like he has some playmaking abilities.

Watching this steelers vs seahawks game makes me think we definitely need better corners. Bens throwing for almost 500 and sherman is all over Antonio brown.

Another note-earl thomas has been playing awful this game

Oh and the steelers secondary might be worse. Wilson has 5 tds so heres another thought. Get joe some weapons

Biggest thing I got from the game was the need for WR's. It's CRAZY what having good WR's can do for your offense. I wish we had HALF the talent at WR that the Seahawks or steelers have.

Yeah he's gotten those interceptions in off man coverage. When he plays man he doesn't look for the ball and gets really really sloppy.

I mean we sound like a broken record with the bolded statement. I'm tired of waiting. We need to if we need to keep up with CIN and PIT (helps if we can get a defense to go along with it).

the Seahawks don't have much talent at receiver at all. But I guess your comment speaks to how bad our receivers are huh?

VH3 would be the perfect match for those shiftier WRs like Brown, OBJ, Edelman, etc. Jimmy (if he heals back to pre-injury form) already matches up well with guys like Bmarsh and Calvin Johnson as we've seen.

But yeah, that game just tells you how important the skill positions are on both sides of the ball, and Ozzie needs to stop ignoring them in what has become a pass-driven league. Our own OC is a pass-pass-pass kind of guy as it is.

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/desmond-king/

Really starting to think we should jump on this kid in the second round. To me he shows effort and isnt afraid to get dirty and tackle, shows ability to set edge as a corner and force the play inside. He shows a nack for attacking the ball and even shows versatility as a returner. Love the talent still a little raw but thats what makes him a second rounder other than that i think he can be as talented as some of the best corners in this class

We need a pure coverage CB IMO. Not some guy with length and potential. We've taken too many gambles like that, though Jimmy did work out well. This is becoming a pass happy league. I believe that our defense is a few pieces away from becoming good at least, maybe not elite but good. Hargreaves just seems to be that piece to the puzzle.

Last CB to be taken in the top 5 is Patrick Peterson, I don't think Hargreaves has reached that hype. I think he's at the 7-10 range.

My thing is, if Hargreaves is gone, then I'm automatically trading back for at least a 2nd and if I can, a future 1st. My fingers are crossed that he's there for us. If he is, we need make Goodell sprint to the podium.

What do you guys think of Clemson's cornerback, Mackensie Alexander? If the Ravens pick around 10-ish, he could be the next best DB after Ramsey and Hargreaves. I was reading up on him and he definitely sounds like the type of player you'd want to add to the Raven's defense.  http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13467468/clemson-tigers-cornerback-mackensie-alexander-best-worked-it

This is the part that really stood out to me:

After he signed his letter of intent to play for the Tigers, defensive coordinator Brent Venables would send Alexander a few pages of the playbook or a few clips of film each day. Alexander returned the favor by calling and texting his new coach endlessly to ask for more.

"Midnight, I'd be lying in bed sleeping, and my phone would ding," Venables remembered. "My wife would say, 'Who's texting you at midnight?' but she got used to it. It was just my nightly text from Mackensie."

After each game, Dabo Swinney would do his radio show then retreat to his office. Along the way, he'd peek in the film room and find Alexander. "I don't even think he showered," Swinney joked.

Before the team's bowl matchup with Oklahoma in Orlando, Florida, last year, the Tigers took a trip to Disney World. Alexander stayed behind to watch film.

It reminds me a bit of the way Lewis and Reed would constantly review game tape to see how to improve and how to beat their next opponent.
